Chapter 487: Chapter 368 Lin Sisi’s Moving Plan
Hua Xia Country, Qionghua City.
Zhang Xiaoman was sitting in the living room of Lin Sisi’s home, his finger touching the young girl’s eye, watching her with focused attention.
In his hand, there was a bundle of emerald green light pulsing.
If one looked closely, they could see that within the light, specks would occasionally pass through his finger, slowly seeping into Lin Sisi’s tightly closed eyes.
After a while, with each passing second, the green light in Zhang Xiaoman’s hand had completely infiltrated the girl’s eyes. At his cue, she opened her eyes but then shook her head slightly after a brief moment of bewilderment.
"Still not working, huh... It seems this Recovery Spell is just like baozi and similar items, unable to repair permanently damaged parts... Ah, it looks like it’s another false hope for you."
Zhang Xiaoman withdrew his hand with some disappointment. What he had just used was the new Dark Energy Technique he had mastered—the Recovery Spell.
Three days had passed since he brought Aaron and Bena back to Rebirth Island.
In these three days, he had fervently learned all the Dark Energy Formulas he could handle from the Magic Gift Package, even including the Expelling Spell which required 300 points of Dark Energy to cast.
Indeed, having almost reached the upper limit of 300 points of Dark Energy, he broke through the threshold with the help of an inspiration potion, of course, while wearing the Hundred Flowers Brewed Cloak.
At this moment, Lin Sisi was facing towards Zhang Xiaoman. Her face did not show any sign of disappointment; instead, she revealed a sweet smile and said:
"Brother Xiao Man, it’s okay. After all, I’m already used to it. Besides, now that I have Spirit Detection Technique and I can ’see’ you, I’m already very content."
Seeing her like this, Zhang Xiaoman couldn’t help but gently smooth out the tips of her hair as he spoke:
"I know, but don’t worry. I will definitely find a way to restore your sight in the future, and then you’ll be able to truly see me."
The young girl blushed slightly at his action and quickly stood up, groping her way to her room, and added:
"Oh, right. Those drawings that Brother Xiao Man asked me to help with, I’ve finished all of them. I’ll go get them for you..."
Zhang Xiaoman watched her enter the room with a smile. After waiting a while, he saw her coming back out with a stack of papers in her arms.
Rising to his feet to take the papers, Zhang Xiaoman first helped the girl to sit down before turning his attention to the objects in his hands.
They were a stack of parchment, twenty-three sheets in total, each one depicting an eye, representing the Eye of Truth for Trackers.
Clearly, these papers were blank Enchantment Scrolls, materials that Zhang Xiaoman had gotten from Ye Cang and then handed over to Lin Sisi to create through drawing.
He had taken two pieces of Dragon Sleep Stone, roughly 400 grams in total, and had rewarded her with 10 points of Contribution Value.
Creating an Enlightenment Array consumed 200 grams of Dragon Sleep Stone, while an Enchantment Scroll required 20 grams. In the end, Lin Sisi made a total of twenty-three Enchantment Scrolls out of the 400 grams of stone.
Now, with the scrolls he had before, he had thirty-two in total. Zhang Xiaoman planned to use twenty of these scrolls for Constitution Enhancement, and the rest would be infused with other augmenting skills.
As for the status-related Dark Energy Techniques he now mastered, there were only a few limited ones besides Constitution Enhancement: Spirit Detection Technique, Floating Curse, and Iron Armor Spell.
Spirit Detection Technique aside, among the remaining two, he had used the Floating Curse, but the results were not ideal.
The Floating Curse did not enable one to fly in the air; the effect was true to its name—it could only make the body float slowly, similar to the Assault Stance in speed.
As for the Iron Armor Spell, he had yet to test it, so its efficacy remained an unknown.
He planned to make four copies of each skill, just to be prepared for any situation.
"You’ve worked hard; you’ve done a great job. I can sense the Dark Energy fluctuation in these items, so it seems they were all successful," Brother Man said, thanking the girl beside him as he put away the scrolls.
"It’s no big deal; I couldn’t do much for you, and these aren’t much," Lin Sisi replied.
"What you’ve done is already a lot, whether it’s the Enlightenment Array or the scrolls, all are crucial. And the Dark Energy Formulas you developed are very practical; I owe you several hundred Contribution Points," he continued.
The young girl blushed and quickly whispered that it was okay.
Brother Man didn’t tease her further. He stood up, looked around, and then turned to the girl:
"Sisi, you mentioned before that you want to move to Rebirth Island. Is that true?" Brother Man asked.
Lin Sisi nodded, saying, "Yes, I’m researching Dark Energy every day, and it’s not convenient at home. If I move there, I can talk with many people, Tutu can have more space to move around, and, well..." she paused.
In a very faint voice, she continued, "And Brother Xiao Man, aren’t you always there? If I come across something I don’t understand, I can come to you at any time..."
Her voice faded as she spoke, her face flushed with embarrassment.
Brother Man understood her meaning and naturally had no objections.
At first, he was concerned that the young girl might not be accustomed to living there, as a blind person’s familiarity with their living environment is crucial. Brother Man worried that the unfamiliar setting might cause her many inconveniences.
However, since the young girl had already made up her mind, he was certainly very supportive of her moving there.
The Star Alliance had established all their basic infrastructure, which meant that living conditions there were now not much different from his current location.
Another important factor was that Lin Sisi was a blind girl; Brother Man, having let her live on her own, was somewhat worried about her safety.
Now, if she could live on Rebirth Island, at least there would be no need for concern about her safety.
In the end, the plan to move was settled, and Brother Man decided to spend the next few days helping her with the arrangements.
But what was frustrating was that since the Anti-gravity Car had been upgraded to an Escort Ship, he could no longer drive it over.
After all, a ship eight stories high would certainly not be hidden if flown over a city.
Therefore, Brother Man could only rely on his Teleportation Ability to move things over, one item at a time.
He opened the gang member list to look for a couple of strong men to help with the move.
"Hmm... Lord Bear is training Aaron and Bena, Brother Hero is busy in America, Su Fu is recuperating, Xiao Shun is setting up a medical team, Yang Yangyang and Ji Xiaoqi are investigating new members in North Bear Country, Hu Peng and Xun You are also in Ero looking for new members, as for Mr. Ye... let’s forget about him," he mused.
After checking, Brother Man found that everyone seemed to be busy, and he himself appeared to be the most idle at the moment. He felt awkward about asking any of them to help him move.
In the end, he decided to take on the hard work himself. He would summon a few Star Guards to help tidy up, activate a Constitution Enhancement, carry more items at once, and hopefully, after several trips, the move would be complete.
