Chapter 332: Chapter 216: Craftsmen Arrive
"This, this is... the Flying Car Hero’s vehicle, right? Our company is that mysterious organization behind the Flying Car Hero, isn’t it?"
After he finished speaking, he turned his head, his face full of anticipation, looking towards Yang Yangyang.
Yang Yangyang was startled by his question and before he could respond, Sun Hao whispered nearby:
"I’ve also heard of the Flying Car Hero. Isn’t it said to be fake? Can our car actually fly too? Isn’t this a bit too exaggerated?"
His words also echoed the thoughts of others, even though everyone had already seen the giant object floating above the ground before boarding.
However, most of them believed that the car must have some sort of support points in the chassis, unseen positions, making it hard to associate it with a real flying car.
Yang Yangyang pondered for a moment, not answering Shuai Yu’s question directly. Some things, even he himself was not very certain of, let alone clarifying other people’s doubts.
"Regarding these matters, I can’t go into details with you for now, but what I can tell you is that the Light Blue Starry Sky is far from as simple as you imagine..."
"Behind the company, there is a presence you cannot imagine. The specifics, let’s wait until we reach our destination. After that person has seen you, I will tell you more about it."
His words made the five of them even more eagerly curious. But for the moment, they refrained from asking further questions and instead turned their attention elsewhere.
They first looked at the control panel in front of the Dawn, where various unfamiliar control boards were intimidating and too daunting to even approach, fearing that accidentally touching something might trigger a series of severe consequences.
Venturing towards the back of the bridge, they found it divided into two levels; the upper level was a resting area with bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, and other daily living facilities to accommodate the crewmen’s needs.
The lower section contained spaces similar to a warehouse, ammunition depot, and engine room. However, their doors were all tightly shut, making it impossible for the viewers to discern what was inside.
Just as they were still exploring this large black machine, a crisp voice from the vehicle’s internal broadcast announced, originating from the anti-gravity car’s intelligent system.
"Route planning complete. Estimated travel time: 10 minutes 55 seconds. Dawning is about to depart, please prepare."
As the last of its words fell, about ten seconds passed before the lights inside the vehicle suddenly dimmed and then vividly brightened again—the surroundings had changed, with the holographic flight mode now activated.
Immediately after, the anti-gravity car slowly began to ascend under the shocked gazes of the crowd, the outside scenery rapidly shrinking. It was then that everyone realized they were truly ascending into the sky.
A series of gasps filled the interior; everyone was struck by the proximity of the azure sky, their legs feeling as if they were filled with lead, completely daring not to move.
It felt as if one careless move could result in them falling from the high clouds.
The acceleration of the anti-gravity car was very smooth, and even while standing, no one felt any discomfort— not even a ripple disturbed the water in the bottles.
Thus, as the Dawn gradually sped up, the "unprecedented" journey Yang Yangyang had spoken of unfolded.
...
Ten minutes later, on Rebirth Island.
Over Seven-Star Lake, the immense shield in a cloaked state suddenly tore open a gap, through which an equally invisible flying craft silently passed, heading straight for the island at the edge.
Tianshu Island, the very spot where Zhang Xiaoman now found himself, is also the island he plans to develop heavily. It houses the entrance to the Original Realm and will also become the first base for the Star Alliance.
Dawn had removed its camouflage and docked in front of the Final Gate, with five newcomers stepping onto this newly born land for the first time, led by Yang Yangyang.
Their astonishment was beyond words, evident simply from their facial expressions, reflecting the shock they were enduring at that moment.
Beside them, because it was only his third visit here and the fog was thick today obscuring the distant view of Goddess Peak, Yang Yangyang could only use other environmental features to locate the position of the Inheritance Land.
Just as he was confirming the direction, two figures swiftly approached from the distant ruins, appearing to be Star Guards.
But, were the Star Guards actually riding horses?
What was this all about?
Hadn’t seen this before. Since when did Star Alliance start keeping horses?
Or was this also summoned by Brother Man?
A series of murmurs rose in Yang Yangyang’s mind, but he did not plan to delve deeper.
In his view, Zhang Xiaoman, as the restorer of human Transcendent inheritance and the creator of Star Alliance, the Lord Star Lord, could be said to be the most powerful Awakener of humans today.
Such a mysterious being, how many means he had hidden was completely beyond his imagination.
The Star Guards drew closer, their equally extraordinary steeds pausing as if telepathically synced.
The former immediately leaped down from the horse, took a few steps towards Yang Yangyang, and then performed a knightly salute, followed by a gesture inviting the others to follow them to the Inheritance Land.
The five newcomers were even more amazed at this scene.
Two knights riding warhorses, fully armored, with eyes glowing a purple light— all these clearly indicated one thing: they were the Transcendents who had been causing a stir recently.
"The legends... are all true. Transcendents really do exist in this world! And, and I have actually encountered them..."
Shuai Yu stared in awe at everything in front of him, muttering under his breath. His reaction was representative of all the newcomers present; facing everything that had happened today felt like being in a dream.
Who could have imagined that merely looking for a job would end up in such a bewildering membership of this organization? If this were to be said in the past, they probably wouldn’t believe it to their deaths.
However, the truth now lay before their eyes, and they could not help but believe it.
Whether it was the high-tech flying vehicle they had seen earlier or the two knights radiating a Transcendent aura before them, neither could possibly be the product of mere special effects.
Yang Yangyang was somewhat astonished yet secretly thrilled by the performance of the Star Guards.
Look, two powerful knights saluting me; this indeed shows that being a bona fide member of the Star Alliance has its style.
With that thought, he couldn’t help feeling delighted, and promptly responded with a similar gesture.
Then, Yang Yangyang turned his gaze to the few newcomers behind him and said in a voice he felt was quite solemn:
"Let’s go. The Star Lord is waiting for you at the Inheritance Land."
