Chapter 19 Dancing Lady Sisters
Chapter 19: Chapter 19 Dancing Lady Sisters
After checking the deck’s cabin one more time to ensure no survivors had been missed, Chen Qing could finally rest assured and continued walking downwards.
There were three rooms downstairs, two of which were used as bedrooms by the pirates, from which a sour stench mixed with the smell of alcohol wafted.
It was exceptionally foul.
The other room, however, emitted a strong smell of blood.
As Chen Qing pushed open the door, a putrid odor instantly filled her nostrils, revealing a cramped cabin crammed with over twenty people!
All of them were shackled, and it seemed they had been wearing their restraints for some time, as their wrists bore friction wounds of varying severity.
The sound of the door opening only awakened two people, while the rest seemed to have fainted due to severe injuries and fever.
These two had the lightest injuries, and, apparently, they wore the clothes of dancing ladies.
"Have you come to rescue us?"
The two dancing ladies huddled together, looking fearfully at Chen Qing and asked softly.
"Yes."
Chen Qing nodded her head and once again drew her long sword, swiftly severing the shackles on their hands.
"Let’s move the injured out first."
Chen Qing effortlessly helped up two of the injured by the door and quickly walked outside.
Staying in this room would endanger even those who were unharmed.
"...Okay."
The dancing ladies watched Chen Qing’s retreating figure and nodded.
After several trips, Chen Qing and her group managed to move all the captives from the pirate ship to the large ship.
The room had held a total of twenty-seven people, and their wounds were severely infected, festering and oozing pus.
Almost everyone was in a state of high fever and unconsciousness, making it impossible for Chen Qing to ascertain if they were survivors.
However, the two dancing ladies, like Daliya, were natives and had been adrift at sea for long. They were adept at handling simple injuries and proved to be a great help to Chen Qing.
With her E-level medical skills, treating these people was relatively easy for Chen Qing, who could generally tell at a glance how to appropriately treat each case.
But she didn’t have enough medicine on her ship. The medicine chest that came with the Profession Scroll initially wasn’t enough to supply so many people.
Chen Qing could only clean their wounds for now and reach out to other survivors in her private channel to help gather more medicine.
Her private channel of survivors had already surpassed fifty people, and Chen Qing tightly controlled the threshold of that channel.
These survivors were rather well-off, typically keeping a stock of common medicines.
But it was a critical time now, with most survivors trapped in systemic risks.
Not everyone could eliminate danger as efficiently as Chen Qing; many survivors ended up like the pirate captives she rescued, unluckily becoming spoils of the pirates.
In these waters, where pirates ran rampant, danger lurked everywhere.
The majority of pirates were extremely cruel; those who weren’t fiercely cruel had another name, adventurers.
"Daliya, go and boil some water."
Chen Qing temporarily settled the wounded on the deck and hastily erected a tent for them.
Her execution was very swift.
The dancing lady sisters then took charge of caring for the injured while Chen Qing was busy formulating ointments with the materials at hand.
The pirate ship differed from the Black Saber Pirate Group, as it had quite a few supplies.
Chen Qing didn’t have time to deal with the supplies on that ship right now; she tied the pirate ship to the large ship with ropes and continued tending to the wounded, leaving the pirates’ bodies piled on the pirate ship, as it wasn’t going anywhere.
Compared to the pirate ship’s goods, Chen Qing was more eager to learn about the world from the natives among the injured.
The pirate ship was of much lower status than the Black Saber Pirate Group, and it wouldn’t have anything of value.
The goods in their captain’s room consisted of a measly 1 goldfish, 32 Silver Crabs, and 7,251 copper coins.
The food in the kitchen was also... barely edible.
However, their warehouse did have a plethora of messy herbs and liquors, some of which looked quite expensive.
They had raided a small merchant ship.
The merchant ship had been hidden by them, but where it was hidden was still unknown.
If sold, their property would definitely be more than this.
"Do you need help?"
A Dancing Lady stepped forward, asking timidly.
Chen Qing looked up at her and nodded slightly.
According to the two Dancing Ladies, they were originally traveling on a merchant ship to Sapphire Island when they unexpectedly encountered pirates.
All the guards on board were killed, leaving only them and some other hostages who could be exchanged for ransom.
On the way to Sapphire Island, the pirates had captured many drifters at sea, planning to sell them on the island.
"Help me wash these herbs."
Chen Qing handed the herbs she had sorted out to the Dancing Lady with red long hair,
"Okay."
The Dancing Lady nodded and was about to head to the kitchen with the herbs.
"There is water over there."
Chen Qing stopped her and pointed her toward the water hose by the deck railing.
"...Okay."
The Dancing Lady paused for a moment, then smiled and agreed.
"You feed them this medicine."
Chen Qing took out a vial of green liquid from the medicine box and gave it to the Dancing Lady with red short hair, then nodded at a few patients.
"Is this for treating high fever?"
The short-haired Dancing Lady asked curiously.
"No, it’s for countering the effects of the sedative."
Chen Qing said calmly, her hands continuing to work on the herbs.
Upon examination, the patients’ comas were not due to high fever but were more likely caused by sedatives.
They were fortunate that the antidote was among these common-quality herbs.
Though only of common quality, the herbs were varied and many were very useful.
The pirates did not recognize their value, so they were carelessly piled in a corner of the warehouse, getting dirty.
Chen Qing could mostly identify their names and functions, such as this thorny liquid, which tasted extremely disgusting but was the fastest acting and had no side effects for countering the sedative.
"..."
Hearing Chen Qing’s words, the actions of the two Dancing Lady sisters involuntarily stalled.
Counteracting...sedative...
The sisters exchanged a quick glance – if these people woke up, wouldn’t their cover be blown?
Indeed, these two sisters were not just any dancers; their identities were the same as the bodies next door, they were pirates!
Seeing Chen Qing’s focused back, the sisters’ gazes instantly became ruthless and sinister. If that was the case, then they couldn’t be blamed for striking first!
Their movements were extremely quick, they swiftly pounced toward the Black Blade carelessly placed on the ground.
The Black Blade still had their relatives’ blood on it, and seeing the blood, the sisters’ anger reached its peak, raising the blade they chopped towards Chen Qing, one from the front and one from behind!
"Sister Chen Qing!!"
Daliya, who had just stepped out of the kitchen, turned pale when she saw this scene, screamed, and rushed towards Chen Qing.
