Chapter 779: Chapter 780: Persuasion to Surrender (2)_1
Cai Wei lowered her head, glanced at her own appearance, and laughed and said: "As you see, I’m a person of the Great Jin Nation, as for why I’ve come..."
As she spoke, she calmly sat down on a thick seat mat and continued: "I’m here to persuade the Great Khan to surrender to the Great Jin Nation."
Her demeanor was serious, devoid of any hint of mockery, but it indeed provoked anger in the Khan of the Meng slaves.
In the Meng slave nation, women’s status is even lower than that in the Great Jin. They are just a little better off than cattle and sheep. Therefore, when a lowly woman from the Jin talks about surrendering, it’s a humiliation for him.
"Has the Great Jin run out of people? Have they sent a woman to negotiate state affairs with me?"
Cai Wei replied coolly: "The Great Jin has a population of millions. The population of just one province is enough to match the entire Khanate of the Meng Slaves. So where does it say that the Great Jin is running out of people? The reason I’m here is because - although the people of the Great Jin are numerous, but only I am competent enough to take the life of the Great Khan!"
After she finished speaking, Cai Wei stared steadily at Tuoba Kui, a hint of iciness within her clear eyes.
As Tuoba Kui heard her words, his face darkened with anger. He leaned forward with both palms on the desk and sneered: "Stupid woman, just because you tamed a tiger, do you think you can take my life so easily? How absurd!"
He squinted slightly and glanced at the guards standing nearby, seemingly indifferent.
Immediately, the four guards standing by them drew their curved knives, their menacing aura surrounding Cai Wei.
"Foolish woman, you can’t even save yourself now, do you still think that you can kill me at your whim?" A mocking look flashed across Tuoba Kui’s face, his gaze on Cai Wei like she was a mere clown. Yet, Cai Wei was unfazed, maintaining a faint smile on her stunning face," From the looks of it, we won’t be able to have a pleasant chat."
Tuoba Kui snorted, commanding one of the guards, "Take this ignorant woman away, let her suffer first, send her to the army brothel, and then order the archers to kill that tiger!"
The guards cried out in unison, "Yes!", ready to seize Cai Wei.
However, before they could make a move, Cai Wei disappeared from sight, vanishing into thin air right before their eyes.
Tuoba Kui was shocked, his eyes wide open in surprise. He sprang to his feet. He paced the room together with the astonished soldiers, trying to find the woman who had disappeared out of the blue.
"Where did she go?"
"How did she disappear all of a sudden?"
"Quickly, bring the Grand Sorcerer here."
"Hehe..."
Suddenly, Cai Wei re-emerged in the King’s tent, standing behind them, laughing coldly.
Tuoba Kui turned his head, startled, staring at her, too taken aback to describe.
A hint of mockery quirked at the corner of Cai Wei’s mouth. She gazed at the panic-stricken Meng slaves, her tone indifferent: "If the Khan thinks that the Grand Sorcerer can do anything against me, feel free to invite him. I’ll wait."
"You, you... who are you after all?"
Tuoba Kui’s rich expression was beyond description. He pointed at Cai Wei, his emotions a mix of terror, suppression, and frustration.
Cai Wei, with an arm crossed, remained silent with a smile.
"Demoness..."
One of the guards suddenly shouted, raising the curved knife in his hand and charged towards Cai Wei, intent on killing her with one stroke.
A faint smile appeared on Cai Wei’s face. She only made a small gesture with her hand, and a massive force emerged, which sent the tall guard stumbling and flew him out of the tent.
