Chapter 1188: Chapter 1194: Young Master Save Me (3)

Cai Wei smiled, her pupils radiating warmth. In this world, apart from that person, her family was what she cherished the most.

"Alright, in a while I’ll visit the Yishan Hall and Nursing Homes to check on them, and after that, I’ll come pick you up so we can go home together."

After leaving the fabric shop, Cai Wei went to the Yishan Hall and the Nursing Homes. Mo Liancheng and his mother managed both places very well, which clearly showed their utmost dedication.

Although the Yishan Hall didn’t make any money, the names and addresses of those poor people who had received medicinal materials, and the amount of medicinal materials donated, were all recorded by Mo Liancheng for Cai Wei’s inspection. This demonstrated his magnanimous and upright nature!

The Nursing Homes, under the management of Eldest Lady Mo, resembled a modern resort—clean and comfortable. The elderly residents who could not care for themselves were dressed in clean clothes, looking plump and well-fed. Despite all activities, including eating and relieving themselves, taking place inside the houses, there was not the slightest odor; the little kids were also dressed neatly and brimming with vitality. When Cai Wei arrived, Eldest Lady Mo was teaching them calligraphy. These once street-roaming children, under Eldest Lady Mo’s tutelage, had learned to be respectful and polite. Upon seeing Cai Wei, the children stood up together, saluted her with cupped hands, and expressed their thanks.

There were also two children who were quite good at writing characters. They shyly showed their work to Cai Wei and were roundly praised by her. Their faces turned adorably flushed from the compliments.

Feeling very satisfied with her visit, Cai Wei planned to catch several big fish from the Spiritual Stream in Space tomorrow to distribute to the shopkeepers and waiters of the various shops, as a reward and recognition for their hard work!

Just as the sun was setting, Cai Wei finally finished her tasks. She went to the fabric shop as promised, took Fei’er out, and together they took a carriage to the Royal Academy to pick up Wen’er and Wu’er, taking them home with her.

Upon seeing Cai Wei, Wen’er and Wu’er were ecstatic. They sat on either side of her, cuddling up to her affectionately. Wu’er, just like before, clung to her neck and sat on her lap after a while, begging her to tell fairy tales!

Pinching Wu’er’s round little face, Cai Wei laughed and said, "Are you not having a good time at the academy? Have you been studying hard, and has anyone made things difficult for you?"

Wen’er happily said, "The academy is truly wonderful. Today the teacher praised the neatness of my poetry, and all the classmates are very kind. No one has made things difficult for us."

Cai Wei was skeptical and inquired once more with their attendant Quan’er, who gave the same account. Only then did Cai Wei believe them.

Fer’er laughed and said, "Older sister, what worries do you still have? The Emperor has sent all of the former Emperor’s princes to their fiefs. Now, those studying in the Royal Academy are the descendants of princes. Although they are all pampered, wouldn’t their families have informed them of Wen’er and Wu’er’s status? Not only are these two boys not mistreated at the academy, but there are also many people who fawn over them. There used to be people giving them valuable gifts all the time, until Dad realized it and went to discuss it with the teacher at the academy a couple of times before it got better."

Having heard this, Cai Wei said, "Being discriminated against and bullied is certainly not good, but I also do not wish for them to be indulged in flattery, lest they develop the disposition of a dandy. Tomorrow, I will have Dad go to the academy again and speak with the teacher. The children must be strictly disciplined. We cannot let them grow up accustomed to fawning and flattering, or else they might become treacherous scum in the future!"

Wen’er said, "Older sister, rest assured, Wu’er and I will surely study diligently and behave well. We will never disgrace you!"
