Scarlet was unaware but her little interaction with Reya had a witness. It had been watched by a third party, and this was none other than her mother Mega. She had been on her way to see her daughter to remind her to pay a visit to the royal palace in person with some gifts for the emperor and empress when she caught that woman threatening her daughter. She hid in the shadow cast by the hologram of planet Ephoria and used her mental strength to listen in as much as she could. She managed to catch bits of the conversation, taking care not to be noticed or sensed by anyone but it was clear from what she got that her daughter was being threatened.

As soon as she returned to the suite which was being shared by herself and her husband, she asked him to sit down on the bed.

Dorian who was enjoying his second glass of whiskey after an exciting tour around the hotel was immediately overcome with a nagging apprehensive feeling. He knew that look quite well, and it always ended with the downfall of someone. Which unfortunate being was about to bring his wife out of retirement?

He set down the glass in the hands of a hotel personalized guest robot butler and moved to the bed.

"What happened?" he asked her.

"Someone is trying to step on our daughter’s toes, their is a woman who is threatening Scarlet." she said with this intense burning fury in her eyes. "She has come so far Dorian, we have our daughter back finally and I am not going to let anyone jeopardize the new life she is living."

Her mind was made up, he could see, and so he made his up as well to follow her down the thorny path as long as it meant protecting one of their children. He would gladly enter the deepest pits of hell to save them if he had to.

"What do you know?" he asked her.

Mega touched her bracelet terminal and typed a few things then she showed an image of Reya to him using a hologram. In this particular image Reya was receiving an inventors glory medal of honor awarded to great mecha craftsmen and inventors by the empress.

"It’s her," she said, "This is Reya Marley, she used to be Carolyn’s classmate, the one who was always in competition with her but never won even once. Carolyn said that she plagiarized the final draft of her project, I can never forget her. I was occupied with other things that I never got around to dealing with her but now that she has brought herself to me, I am going to crash her and take back all that she took from my daughter." She eyed the image of Reya with disgust and if she could strangle it, she would.

Dorian clenched his jaw and nodded, if she handed him the hammer, he would do the crushing. "Let’s do what our daughter always says, give the rat some cheese, poisoned cheese. Someone like her will not go away easily, I am sure that she wants benefits of some kind and that is how we are going to trap her."

"It’s also possible that someone else is involved, a family member. Someone like her would not have the strength to threaten a governor carelessly. In fact, getting Carolyn thrown out of school must have taken some string pulling, they even got her not to report the case to the RGB. I don’t care how high the mess goes, I will straighten it out." Mega said determinedly.

Dorian raised his hand and smoothed the tiny lines of wrinkles which had formed on her forehead because she was frowning too much. "I am going to call Adler and we can start planning, but you should relax a bit my dear, you are angry and frowning. When the children see you later they could notice that something is wrong and we don’t want them to be involved in this."

"Mmm," she moved her head away, not in the mood to relax. "Once a thief always a thief, we need to trick her into stealing something but this time round, she must be caught."

Unaware that her parents were preparing themselves to fight her battle, Scarlet had arranged the balcony to work as an outdoor kitchen with a table, some equipment and ingredients. Esong had sent a message that he was on his way with Justin and the pets.

She suddenly made the decision to do a live broadcast, it was her first time cooking in the capital anyway. She used one drone to record and attached the sensor to her arm immediately.

When the screen of her terminal showed her that she was live, she smiled and waved at the camera.

"Hey guys, guess where I am streaming from today?" She turned around and the drone followed the movements of her body automatically, showing her growing number of viewers that magnificent view from her balcony. It was a view of the city, and she was staring at a hologram of the preview of a movie by a famous actor named Marden.

When that preview ended, another followed it, showcasing a different movie. The hologram was so big that it covered a large portion of the sky opposite her. It was on the building next door which happened to be a movie theatre.

[The Monty theatre of film!!Oh my God, are you in the capital?]

[My favorite chef is at the Seven suns hotel, thanks for the heads up I am on my way.]

[Only one building in the capital has XD hologram technology so far, the Monty theatre of film. Is that where you are?]

[Holy molly you are in the capital.]

[Are you moving away from that barren land to the city of dreams, finally?]

"Soo, I am in the capital." she told them. "You guys are so sharp, I don’t know how you figured it out so quickly." She complimented them and laughed.

[Wait, she is a governor so she must be here for the execution of the space pirates.]

[Oh right, they captured a space pirate on the Blue star, the one who killed that live streamer.]

[We are missing you already governor please come back home.]

[I hope you are not planning to move to the capital because we Blue star citizens will never allow it.]

"So I was here and I realized that I have never cooked in the capital. But, I don’t own a house here hence my lack of a kitchen. We are sleeping in a hotel, a beautiful hotel, I cannot begin to describe the beauty of the Seven suns. All I can say is that you need to spend here because the beds are to die for!!!" She looked up and folded her fist with a dreamy look on her face. "Anyway, since food is my daily fuel, I have transformed this balcony into a mini kitchen and I am going to whip up some meals and teach some of our laziest chefs a thing or two. I hope you are ready because I am excited to begin."
