Chapter 81: Host, He Is Better Than You
Liam put on his shoe and headed to the North with a happy face.
’What should I do in the city later?’
He acted as if he was heading in the right direction.
’I will buy delicious food first. After that, I will go to a luxurious hotel, take a warm bath and sleep on a soft bed.’
The smile on his face grew bigger when he imagined resting in a luxurious hotel room.
’Hmm?’
He stopped his footsteps when he noticed that Ren did not follow him.
"Why are you still there? "Liam shouted, "Don’t you want to rest in a luxurious hotel?"
"Luxurious hotel? Is he sure the nearest city is to the North?" Ren doubted it because Liam decided the direction by throwing his shoe.
’Well, I will follow him for now.’
He had no other choice, so he decided to trust Liam.
After thirty minutes, Liam threw his shoe again, choosing a direction.
He threw his shoe every half hour because he said he needed to use his magic every thirty minutes.
Without realizing it, they had been walking for three hours, yet they were still in the forest as if someone made them walk in circles.
"Hey, Liam, we have been walking for three hours. Why are we still in the forest?" Ren began to regret his decision because they seemed lost in the forest.
"Wait! Let me use my magic again." After saying that, he threw his shoe into the sky again.
Ren, who was next to Liam, looked at his shoe.
’So, we’re heading east next, huh?’
He said this because his shoe was pointing east.
To his surprise, Liam was heading in the opposite direction.
"West! Let’s go west." Liam walked while pointing his right index finger toward the west.
"Huh? West? But your shoe was pointing east." Ren was surprised because Liam always went in the direction his shoe pointed.
"This time is different because this is the seventh time I have thrown my shoe. This is a special situation where I have to choose the opposite direction." Actually, Liam went in the opposite direction because he hated the number seven.
He was ganged up by seven magical beasts before meeting Ren in the forest, so he hated the number seven.
"My doubts about the way you choose your direction grow with each passing second." Ren stated.
To his surprise, they arrived at Herora City fifteen minutes after that.
Ren, who did not expect this, widened his eyes in shock.
’What?! We really arrived at a city?!’
Liam chose the direction by throwing his shoe, so he thought the chances of them finding the city were slim to none, but now, he finally knew that he was wrong.
[Wow! He really can take us to a city.]
Like Ren, his system was also shocked because Liam’s method of finding the city was not convincing.
[Host, he is better than you. How about you learn his Divine Direction magic? With this, you will never get lost in the forest again.]
’Shut up!’
Ren suddenly felt shy, but he tried to act normally like usual.
"Alright. Let’s go to a luxurious restaurant first. I want to eat delicious food before sleeping on a soft bed." Liam rushed toward the entrance gate with a happy smile on his face.
"Well, eating first is also not a bad idea." Ren followed Liam from behind.
----
Ren was currently eating with Liam.
Their table was filled with food and drinks.
Liam ordered everything on the menu, so their big table was filled with food and drinks to the point that some people looked at them in disbelief.
"Hey, Liam, you should eat slowly. Don’t you care about your image?" Ren said as he consumed chicken thighs.
"It has been two weeks since I ate delicious food, so let me enjoy it." Liam was different from Ren.
He did not care whether his way of eating would ruin his image or not because he was starving and wanted to enjoy his food.
"Well, it’s up to you." Ren uttered,
"Hey, I have light element now. I went to the Goddess Theia Temple and prayed to her this morning. I thought I would fail to get light affinity, but Goddess Theia listened to my pray and gave me light element." the blue-haired man named Daniel said happily.
"What?! Really?" the red-haired man named Henry said in surprise.
Ren stopped eating his chicken thighs and shifted his gaze to them.
’Goddess Theia Temple? Light element?’
Ren also wanted to get light affinity, so he was interested in their conversation.
"Yes." Daniel nodded his head.
"Damn! I also want light element." Henry stated.
"I invited you to go to the Goddess Theia Temple with me this morning, but you refused." Daniel said, "Just go to the Goddess Theia Temple tomorrow morning. Maybe, you will get light element like me tomorrow."
"Yeah. I will go to the Goddess Theia Temple tomorrow morning." Henry uttered.
"Just be sincere in your praying. Ah! Don’t forget to say you will use the light element to help others." Daniel gave Henry some tips to make Goddess Theia grant his wish.
"Thank you for the tips." Henry said happily.
"Hmm? What’s wrong, Ren?" Liam asked curiously.
"Liam, let’s go to the Goddess Theia Temple tomorrow." Ren would not go to the Goddess Theia Temple immediately because he wanted to rest first.
"Goddess Theia Temple? Why?" Liam was not a mage, so he did not know how to get a new affinity.
"I want to try to get the light element, so I need to visit the Goddess Theia Temple." Ren answered.
"Then I will go to the Goddess Theia Temple with you tomorrow. Oh! I will pray too. Maybe I will get the light element tomorrow. Haha." Liam pretended to be a mage again.
The corner of Ren’s lips twitched.
’You awakened the Warrior class, so it’s impossible for you to get the light element.’
But even so, he did not say it because he did not want to ruin Liam’s good mood.
After they were full, they left to find a hotel.
