Chapter 279: Chapter 161 Clarification
Shu Wan, amid the storm of rumors, was currently sitting in Fu Siyu’s office.
Fu Siyu had clearly not expected Shu Wan to come and look for him; he walked forward with a hint of surprise and poured her a cup of tea, "What brings you here?"
"Just passing by, thought I’d stop by. Am I disturbing you?"
"Of course not," Fu Siyu replied with a smile, "You’re welcome anytime you want."
"Regarding the pharmaceutical company, I have some thoughts and would like to seek your opinion." Shu Wan sipped her tea and explained her intention.
"Go ahead."
Fu Siyu sat next to Shu Wan, quietly listening as she spoke, occasionally offering his own insights. Unconsciously, time passed by.
Fu Siyu had originally been attentively listening to Shu Wan, but, as he listened, his concentration could not help but waver.
Shu Wan’s features were delicate and petite; regardless of what she wore, she always looked exceptionally beautiful.
The soft light shone on Shu Wan, casting a gentle glow on her features.
Noticing Fu Siyu’s gaze, Shu Wan paused and tilted her head slightly, "What are you looking at?"
"You are very beautiful," Fu Siyu said truthfully.
Such compliments were something Shu Wan had heard countless times since her childhood, yet coming from Fu Siyu, they somehow felt unnatural.
Shu Wan’s ears warmed slightly, and she instinctively avoided Fu Siyu’s deep gaze, "You also look very handsome."
A smile flickered in Fu Siyu’s eyes, "Thank you."
The atmosphere, which had been normal, suddenly felt a bit strange, and Shu Wan even glanced subconsciously at the air conditioner.
"The air conditioning is on, should I turn it up if you’re feeling cold?"
Shu Wan shook her head, "No, I’m not cold."
In fact, she felt quite warm.
As they spoke, a secretary knocked on the office door, "Mr. Fu, there is a document here that needs to be signed."
"Come in."
As Fu Siyu spoke, the secretary entered with the document.
He appeared composed, but his gaze quickly drifted towards the figure sitting on the sofa nearby.
Although it was just a silhouette, it was so beautifully ethereal that it was captivating and made one long to see what such a beauty looked like.
However, the secretary dared not stare, and only managed a quick glance while handing the document to Fu Siyu.
Still, he didn’t catch a full view; a potted plant obscured his vision, allowing only a glimpse of an exquisite profile, a high nose bridge, and eyes bright as spring water, striking straight to the heart.
The secretary unconsciously paused, and when he attempted to look again, the figure had already slipped into the shadows.
Regretting, he withdrew his gaze, only to meet Fu Siyu’s deep and intense eyes. The secretary shivered inwardly and quickly lowered his head.
After signing the document, Fu Siyu handed it back to the secretary, "You can go now."
"Yes."
Feeling as if he had just been given a stern gaze by Mr. Fu, the secretary didn’t dare look in Shu Wan’s direction again as he left.
But just before closing the door, he still heard Fu Siyu’s voice, "Isn’t the sunlight a bit strong? Should I close the curtains halfway?"
That voice, the secretary thought, was unlike any tone he had ever heard Mr. Fu use before.
Though it sounded nice, it was somehow spine-chilling, completely unlike the usually cold and ruthless Fu Siyu.
Inside, seeing that Fu Siyu was quite busy, Shu Wan prepared to leave but was stopped by Fu Siyu, "Are you busy today?"
"Not really."
The film crew had wrapped up, the variety show was also finished, and Wang Tian hadn’t given her a new schedule yet; she was quite free at the moment.
"Then would you stay and give me some references?" Fu Siyu said as he handed her a file on the desk, "Could you help guide me?"
Shu Wan chuckled, "I don’t know much about business, how could I possibly guide you."
"You’ll pick up on the specifics quickly, and of course, you can give me strategic advice."
The details in documents that reached Fu Siyu’s hands had already been meticulously crafted, needing no changes from him, only decisions.
"Alright, if there’s anything amiss, please point it out."
Shu Wan was very interested in modern business; learning for even a day with Fu Siyu could probably match spending many years elsewhere, she was naturally eager.
"Mhm," Fu Siyu nodded and then moved the documents over, examining them together with Shu Wan.
But after a while, Shu Wan’s phone rang. She glanced at it; it was a local number with no name saved.
