"Get ready, everyone get ready!" Du Jun shouted urgently, knowing that his body was slightly trembling at the thought of the kind of demon they were about to face.

Not only Du Jun, even Lin Xi, the strongest member among them, was tensing up, constantly clenching and unclenching her fists, as if warming up for a fight.

Su Hui gave Gu Fan a look, and he understood. While everyone else’s attention was focused on the storehouse gate, they quietly slipped away.

The murderous look was getting stronger and suddenly the storehouse door was blasted open by a forceful power. The sound of the door collapsing tugged at everyone’s nerves. Then, under everyone’s watchful eyes, a tall figure walked in.

With a hood and mask, the boss stepped in arrogantly. His wolf-like eyes scanned the room, then he focused his attention on Lin Xi and said with interest, "Qian Ye, you finally gathered the courage to face me. And here I thought you were going to run away for a lifetime."

Lin Xi sneered: "You’ve got it all wrong, demon. I didn’t reincarnate to avoid you. Don’t flatter yourself into thinking I’m scared of you."

The boss didn’t care. He glanced at the three charts on the table and said, "I must thank you for saving me a lot of trouble, making it so easy for me to get these three charts."

"No need to thank me. If you think you can get them that easily, go ahead and try." Lin Xi retorted, her eyes reflecting a hint of defiance.

The boss chuckled coldly and disappeared in a blur, rushing towards the charts with a speed that no one could keep up with.

But Lin Xi saw it and nonchalantly snapped her fingers. A safe flew from the side and hit the boss, sending him flying.

The boss returned to his original position without a hint of disappointment, instead curiously commenting, "Qian Ye, your supernatural power is stronger than I expected. Now it’s getting interesting."

"You flatter me, but you’ll find my power is much stronger than you think. Get the hell out of here." Lin Xi pushed him back with a strong shockwave, sending him flying clear out of the storehouse.

Seeing this, Lu Yi and the others hidden in the safe house were stunned, thinking that Lin Xi was really powerful to suppress the boss from the start. It seemed like they could easily win this battle.

However, Lin Xi didn’t look relaxed at all because she could feel her two blow did not inflict any serious harm on the boss. This was not a good sign.

Suddenly, the boss was right in front of Lin Xi, moving as fast as lightning. He grabbed Lin Xi’s neck and lifted her up.

"How do you feel, Qian Ye? Uncomfortable?" The boss seemed very proud of himself. Indeed, he was not affected at all, plus he believed that as long as he took down the toughest opponent, Lin Xi, the rest would be a piece of cake.

Lin Xi struggled but she was no match for the boss. She couldn’t free herself. Seeing this, Du Jun and the others were frightened and ready to help.

However, Lin Xi ceased struggling. There was a terrifying gleam in her eyes as she simply snapped her fingers.

The boss released Lin Xi with a scream of agony, holding his head and staggering back, clearly in great pain.

Lin Xi pointed towards the boss’s head, chanting a mantra that caused his head to explode repeatedly, intensifying his pain and incapacitating him.

If it was not for his immortality, the boss would not have survived the exploding head. This was a trump card that Lin Xi would not use lightly, only resorting to it against the boss.

Seeing an advantage, Du Jun quickly called out: "Attack now!"

As the boss was immobilized, many aimed their stun guns at him, sending currents of electricity through his body, causing him to twitch in agony.

Seeing the situation turn favorable, Lu Yi and the others, hidden in the safe house, applauded covertly. They were reassured by Lin Xi’s powerful display.

However, a shocking scene unfolded. Despite convulsing on the ground, the boss gradually stood up. His eyes never lost their determination, as if nothing could bring him down. His wolf-like gaze turned so fierce that many could not bear to look at him.

With a tremendous roar that overpowered everyone, the boss charged through with daunting Qi. He headed straight for Lin Xi and with one heavy punch, sent her flying.

"No way!" The sight filled everyone with fear. Even Lin Xi had been knocked back. How could the others withstand him?

However, that attack seemed to have drained the boss completely. His legs went weak and he collapsed, panting heavily. The throbbing headache was yet to subside and his gaze was unfocused.

"Everyone, attack now." Led by Du Jun, several others armed with stun guns bravely charged forward.

However, the boss had caught his breath by then. Even in his weakened state, he remained formidable. He swung at anyone who approached, knocking several people flying with a single punch, though not fatally injuring anyone due to lack of power.

"My God, he’s so domineering." Lu Yi and the others hiding in the safe house watched anxiously, as hundreds of people swarmed the boss, trying to bring him down.

At this moment, Lin Xi slowly got up from the ground. Her head was still spinning, so she quickly cast a spell on herself to clear her mind. However, just as she lifted her head, she was shocked to see the boss standing right next to her.

"You’re awake, good!" The boss said and swung a punch towards Lin Xi.

Even though her magical power was strong, she wouldn’t be able to stand another blow physically. But she was quick enough to roll away from the lethal strike. Without sparing a glance at him, she pushed a blast of energy towards him, sending the pursuing boss flying.

Having regained some control, Lin Xi wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth. That last attack had been terrifyingly close.

"No way, even Lin Xi is struggling." Inside the safe house, Lu Yi and the others were more anxious than ever. It didn’t look like they could win this, as the demon didn’t appear to be severely wounded at all.

While the boss was momentarily disoriented, about a dozen people ran up and clung onto his hands, feet, and body to immobilize him.

"Do you know, I can flip trucks, let alone breaking free from your hold." The boss flexed his arm, abruptly throwing two people off him. He shifted a bit and easily shook off everyone holding him.

"Alright, let’s continue." The boss stretched himself a bit, seemingly uninfluenced by the earlier events.
