The sun was shining brightly, and the sky was clear. Yuan Cheng had been waiting by the seaside for a while. He chose an open and vast area, without any obstructions, to prevent anyone from spying on him. In addition, Yuan Cheng took an extra precaution by using a pair of binoculars to carefully survey his surroundings, making sure no one was around.

Everything was for the sake of protecting Liu Yao, his wife. Yuan Cheng gritted his teeth and stared fixedly at the approaching car.

When Su Hui and Gu Fan got out of the car, they looked at Yuan Cheng, surprised that he would suddenly call and request to meet. They had no clue what was going on, but it most likely had to do with Liu Yao.

"Finally, you guys are here. I’ve been waiting for a long time." Just as Yuan Cheng finished speaking, Gu Fan began to explain, "Well, your call was so sudden, and Su Hui was still lazing in bed. You know, women need time to put on makeup."

"What the hell!" Su Hui nearly kicked Gu Fan out of impulse, but she held back, "Okay, let’s get down to business; why did you need to meet us? Did something happen?"

Yuan Cheng nodded and gave a bitter smile. "My wife was attacked overseas. It was the boss’s doing. I’m furious, and our two fathers are too. I want to protect Liu Yao, and our two fathers also want to protect Liu Yao."

Su Hui understood. "So, you want to be our inside man, helping us find the puppet master behind the scenes and unmask the mysterious power."

Yuan Cheng shook his head. "I don’t know enough to be your informant, but my father will help you. He will also contact the higher-ups. You don’t have to worry about that. Just wait for the order to arrest someone. Right now, I’m most concerned about Liu Yao’s safety. Once we betray the boss, he will definitely be pissed and will certainly target me and Liu Yao first."

Su Hui was aware of this aspect: "Don’t worry, we will ask for instructions from our superiors; they will send people to bring Liu Yao back and protect her."

"I trust you, Su Hui, that’s why I specifically came to find you. I hope that you, Su Hui, can personally protect Liu Yao." Yuan Cheng spoke earnestly, looking expectant. This made Su Hui slightly frown.

Gu Fan understood what Su Hui was thinking. It was indeed a bit awkward. If it weren’t for Liu Yao swooping in and stealing her love, Su Hui might already be Yuan Cheng’s wife, and now she had to protect Liu Yao.

"Okay, I agree." Su Hui was indeed Su Hui; she knew her duty and promised right away, which made Yuan Cheng overjoyed.

Gu Fan muttered to himself from the side, "You’re so generous, are you even a woman?"

Su Hui smiled slightly and then pinched Gu Fan’s arm, making him wince with pain and preventing him from saying any more.

"Thank you, Su Hui!" Yuan Cheng wasn’t just saying this for the sake of it -- he was genuinely grateful that Su Hui was willing to help at a time like this. Gratitude was visible in his eyes.

But Gu Fan was somewhat confused. "Although your defection from the dark side is a good thing, normally, you’d just go to Su Hui. Why did you have to drag me into this?"

Having heard that, Yuan Cheng felt a bit awkward. He then took out a blueprint from the trunk of the car and handed it to Gu Fan. "I know you’re on good terms with Luo Jingrong. Please pass this onto him for me."

"What is this!" Gu Fan was astoundingly surprised; he then unfolded the blueprint and was stunned after just one glance. Then, he looked at Yuan Cheng with disbelief in his eyes. "Your family and Luo Jingrong are both guardians too, huh?"

Yuan Cheng nodded. "If the boss knew we had this blueprint, he would definitely not let our family off. That’s also why our family decided to do this."

"If you’re saying the boss won’t let you guys off, could it be that the boss is that unkillable demon?" When Gu Fan said this, there was a hint of fear in his eyes.

"Yes, I witnessed the boss shooting himself in the head and then continuing to talk to me as if nothing happened. I never believed in things like immortality until my father showed me this blueprint, until I met the boss. So, we should be clear on what kind of demon we’re up against." As Yuan Cheng spoke, he became increasingly nervous, as though he had already imagined the boss’s ferocious revenge.

When they talked about the unkillable demon they had crossed paths with twice before, even Su Hui became a little scared. They were truly no match for this adversary; it was the first time they’d encountered an opponent like him who seemed to be cheating.

But Su Hui reassured him, "Relax, the higher-ups have already instructed us; no matter how formidable this demon is, they can handle it. They can capture him alive, even if he can’t be killed."

Upon hearing this, Yuan Cheng’s eyes lit up -- it was as if they were a beacon of hope. He had heard from his father that the boss dared not come into contact with the people from the higher-ups because they were powerful and influential, beyond the control of the boss. They could even control the boss’s life or death. Because no matter how powerful the boss was, he could not defeat an army.

"Alright, let’s end our conversation here. I need to get going to avoid any suspicion." Yuan Cheng nodded, showing his trust in Su Hui and Gu Fan, and then got in his car and left.

Su Hui watched Yuan Cheng leave, and Gu Fan, holding the blueprint in his hand, felt its heavy weight, unsure of what to do.

All three blueprints were now in their possession, and Gu Fan was holding two of them. He was contemplating whether to keep one hidden or inform Lin Xi and Luo Jingrong about it.

Therefore, he specifically asked for Su Hui’s opinion. Su Hui felt that the blueprints were a hot potato; once it was known to the boss, it would surely bring disaster.

"Hold on, if you hand over the blueprint to Luo Jingrong and the boss finds out that Luo Jingrong has two of the blueprints, the boss will then shift all of his attention to Luo Jingrong, rather than Liu Yao." Su Hui voiced her speculation, which made Gu Fan sweat, "My god, Yuan Cheng wants to use us to draw the fire, ensuring his safety. I was just wondering why he would so readily give up the blueprint."

Gu Fan felt the weight of the blueprint in his hand even more; Yuan Cheng’s sudden move had caught him off guard.

"I can’t let Yuan Cheng use me, harming Luo Jingrong. But if we can’t ensure the safety of Yuan Cheng and Liu Yao, all our previous efforts will be in vain." Gu Fan gritted his teeth, trying to think of a solution that would work in everyone’s favor.

"We should let Lin Xi know. Currently, the only one who can withstand the boss is her, and the blueprint is also what she wants." After much deliberation, Su Hui found this to be the only potential solution.

Gu Fan furrowed his brows, as though pondering over other achievable methods.
