Upon hearing the news, Liu Zhendong’s face changed color. He immediately called Yuan Zhenggang for a discussion. They talked late into the night, their hearts filled with worry.

"What should we do? The boss wants to harm Liu Yao. We must do something about it. How about we talk to him?" Liu Zhendong cherished his daughter, Liu Yao. Unwilling to lose her, at this moment, he desperately needed the support of his brother-in-law.

Yuan Zhenggang proposed, "Offer more money to the security company, strengthen the protection around Liu Yao. That’s our top priority."

Liu Zhendong found the idea feasible, but still had some apprehension, "How about we quickly move Liu Yao to a safer location? Hide her away."

"We should hide Liu Yao. But if they found her once, they’d likely find her again. The best strategy is to keep her movements unpredictable." Yuan Zhenggang gave a seemingly sound strategy, which Liu Zhendong agreed to and quickly ordered his men to execute.

"Now that we’ve worked out Liu Yao, it’s time for us to face the boss." Saying this, Yuan Zhenggang took a deep breath, his eyebrows furrowed. He was feeling very apprehensive about confronting the boss.

The boss didn’t care about Yuan Cheng’s feelings. He believed he was in control of everything, including Yuan Cheng’s life.

Once Yuan Cheng was gone, Leng Le appeared from the other room. His eyebrows deeply creased, "Boss, your actions are not going to win people over. Won’t you fear the Yuan and Liu families betraying us?"

Unaffected, the boss replied, "Both families have weaknesses I can exploit. How can they betray us? What worries me the most are Su Hui and Gu Fan, their ability to trace back clues is astonishing. They’re the ones we should be dealing with."

Leng Le started asking for advice, "So what should we do now? Should Hai continue to track Liu Yao or keep low?"

Seeing the boss in this state, Leng Le worried that Yuan Zhenggang and Liu Zhendong might act out of desperation, which would complicate matters. Nevertheless, he chose to follow the boss’s orders for the time being.
