"Impressive, you’re definitely not human." Gu Fan was overwhelmed by the powerful aura of his foe. He had been almost toppled by the ferocious wind gusts. This was his first encounter with such an overwhelming display of individual power.

However, Gu Fan hadn’t fully processed the situation before his opponent vanished from sight. A terrifying, creeping terror filled him, and a chill rode up his spine. He could feel a murderous look behind him.

By the time Gu Fan turned around, a forceful punch from his rival was already heading his way - a punch so powerful it was almost absurd. It sent Gu Fan flying through the air.

"Can’t be, such an immense power, and that speed too." Gu Fan took the full force of the impact, his head spinning as if he were in a whirlwind, completely oblivious to where he had landed. His abrupt halt, slamming against a tree trunk, finally brought him back to reality.

At this point, Su Hui knew that she had to fight, no matter how overpowered. Harnessing the supernatural power Lin Xi had bestowed upon her, her strength and speed spiked exponentially. She threw a flurry of punches, so swift they were almost blinding.

Her male opponent, too, was a skilled hand-to-hand combatant. He blocked Su Hui’s attacks with speed and precision, emitting a cold, derisive snort.

Unexpectedly, Su Hui unleashed a powerful punch. It was even faster than the ones before, catching the man completely off guard, and landed square on his face.

"What, keeping your true strength hidden?" The man was taken aback, surprised. Although the hit hadn’t caused much harm, it was a hefty humiliation for him to take a blow.

Suddenly, a strong wind drew the man’s attention. Gu Fan had returned, protected by Lin Xi’s supernatural power, having survived the blow from before.

He started with a beautiful combination punch, followed by a series of punches and kicks. Gu Fan launched a blistering attack, attempting to suppress his adversary.

"Is it going to help?" The man barely blocked a few moves and then dismissed Gu Fan’s attack with nonchalance. He sent Gu Fan’s flurry of fists and kicks flying back with just a punch of his own. Compared to Su Hui, Gu Fan’s strength was rather unimpressive.

"What about me?" Su Hui seized her opportunity, launching an attack from another direction. She flew up high and kicked the man away.

It turned out that Gu Fan’s attack was a feint to divert the man’s attention. The critical strike came from Su Hui. The two complemented each other perfectly, managing to stabilize the situation, albeit just for the moment.

The man, knocked down to the ground, quickly got back up on his feet. His eyes were filled with annoyance. It seemed he was furious. He said, "Congratulations, you have got me to take this seriously. Don’t regret it later!"

"Watch out, he’s coming." Su Hui’s body tensed as she braced for the imminent attack, Gu Fan equally edgy. They watched as the man advanced slowly towards them, his pace gradually quickening, his speed escalating, and a terrifying aura burst forth, rushing towards them.

Gu Fan and Su Hui knew they had no time to dodge. They could only steel themselves and thrown their punch in retaliation.

The man’s body was as solid as steel. His charge force effortlessly shattered Gu Fan and Su Hui’s counterstrike.

"This can’t be, he’s way too strong." Overpowered, Gu Fan and Su Hui were both sent flying and they hit the ground hard. Filled with pain, they felt as though their bodies were shattered, once again, awestruck at their opponent’s inhuman strength. He was definitely a monster.

As Gu Fan struggled to stand up, he caught sight of the man advancing once more. The formidable punch that was soon to follow forced him to cross both his hands in defense.

His defense held, but it resulted in him being sent flying once more. His arm was fractured, the pain piercing through his heart, only Lin Xi’s supernatural power, that kept him in the fight this long.

Su Hui came to Gu Fan’s aid with a sweeping kick, but the man’s reaction was remarkably quick. He responded with a kick of his own, resulting in a bone-crushing collision of kicks.

Ah~ Despite gritting her teeth, Su Hui could not suppress an agonised cry. Her leg bone was shattered, unable to bear her weight, and down she went.

It was only a brief combat, but Gu Fan had injured an arm and Su Hui, a leg. They were far from being a match for their opponent.

The man seemed unimpressed by his victory. He uttered, coldly, "Qian Ye gave you supernatural power so you can heal quickly. If you’re not satisfied, I don’t mind giving you a hundred chances. The outcome will always be the same."

At this point, Gu Fan and Su Hui felt their pain subsiding and their injuries were healing. Lin Xi’s supernatural power was indeed effective. But it presented a problem. Even having fully recovered, they couldn’t defeat the man. The disparity of their strengths was far too great.

"Lin Xi, don’t worry about Gu Fan, give all of your magical power to me." Su Hui’s voice was calm, but the intensity in her eyes spoke volumes. It seemed like she was ready to go all out.

Lin Xi agreed, "Okay Sister Su, just be careful."

"What?" Gu Fan’s concern was interrupted by the sensation of his own strength diminishing while Su Hui’s aura was escalating.

All of this had been seen by the man, and he looked intrigued, "Interesting, interesting, you want to focus your power into a single, powerful strike, fine, let’s proceed."

After Lin Xi had given all of her supernatural power to Su Hui, she felt a strong energy surge throughout her body – a feeling of relief, ready to launch her attack, no fear in her eyes. Instead, she was exhilarated facing a formidable opponent.

"We might turn the tide." Gu Fan, now just an ordinary man, knew this battle was beyond his abilities. He stood aside, ready to seize an opportunity to cheer for Su Hui from the sidelines.

"Alright, let me see what you can do with your full strength combined with Qian Ye’s supernatural power," the man taunted and beckoned Su Hui to attack.

Su Hui took a deep breath and rushed forward, her speed increased drastically. Gu Fan and the man were both astounded by her speed. "Is this the limit of human speed?" they wondered.

"Do you really think you can beat me with speed alone?" The man threw a punch. He was confident that his strength surpassed Su Hui’s. His punch unleashed a terrifying and oppressive Strong Wind.

Unfazed, Su Hui anticipated the man’s punch, grabbed his fist, then made a sweeping movement with her leg. She moved swiftly under him.

"What?" The man was caught off guard. His arm was still in Su Hui’s grip as he teetered until he lost his balance and fell over.

"Now!" Seizing the opportunity, Su Hui landed an elbow strike on the man’s face while he was still on the ground. There was a loud snap – it sounded like his bones had been broken.

"Damn you!" The man quickly got up, his punch narrowly missing Su Hui. She backed away, breathing heavily with a grim look on her face.

"I was careless earlier. I won’t take you lightly anymore. Today, I will be the end of you." The man was furious. The murderous look in his eyes was truly frightening.

Su Hui felt the mounting pressure. This man seemed to have limitless strength. Not an encouraging sign considering how long they’d been fighting.

Just as the situation was becoming dire, the sounds of police sirens filled the air. Zhuo Hang arrived with several police officers. They were here to support Su Hui.

Seeing this, Hai quickly said, "Boss, the situation has changed. We need to leave now."

"Leave?" The man was clearly unwilling to let go. However, the police sirens were getting closer. He scowled then finally decided to retreat. "Don’t celebrate your victory too soon! Next time, you won’t be so lucky. Remember my words." he warned.

"Thanks for the heads-up." Su Hui watched as the man disappeared into a dark woods. When the oppressive feeling finally disappeared, she breathed a sigh of relief and fell to the ground, exhausted.

"What happened?" asked Zhuo Hang, as he noticed Su Hui was soaked in sweat.

She gave a bitter smile, "Unbelievable. I encountered that indestructible monster again. Can’t believe I survived, thanks for your timely arrival."

"I’m just glad you’re safe. I was really worried." Zhuo Hang stared at Su Hui, full of concern.

"You owe me now." Su Hui blushed and quickly changed the topic.

"It’s my..." Zhuo Hang was interrupted by Gu Fan who said, "Please, enough of this nonsense, take some concern about me. I’m all sore."

"What are you babbling about at this moment? Can’t you be serious for once?" Su Hui retorted.

"Sorry, my bad. I’ll watch my words." Gu Fan showed his repentance, but in his heart, he criticized Zhuo Hang for his obvious favoritism towards Su Hui.

Regardless, they were safe for now. Gu Fan contacted Lu Yi and Du Jun who had managed to escape safely, thanks to Du Changhui’s assistance.

Lin Xi withdrew her supernatural power and wiped the sweat off her forehead. Long-distance transfer of supernatural power was taxing for her, and they were merely lucky that the situation had forced the man to retreat.

"I need to expedite the restoration of my supernatural power," she thought desperately. Given her last encounter with the man, she doubted that she would stand a chance against him even at her full strength.

Upon hearing his son Du Jun had escaped safely, Du Changhui felt a surge of relief. Grateful to Lin Xi, he sensed her worry over the future.

"Contact Luo Jingrong immediately. We don’t have much time. We need to accelerate our plan."
