"Hey, you guys, speak up, what happened to you? Speak!" Leng Le yelled several times, but no one answered. He felt a sinking feeling, roughly guessing what might have taken place.

He then heard panicked shouts from the earpiece, followed by the noise of scuffle. Leng Le knew something was wrong and ordered his men to speed up their return.

Meanwhile, inside a house, Su Hui was dealing blows left and right, a force too powerful to resist, and knocked down all three opponents.

Du Jun, bound to a chair with a rag stuffed into his mouth, saw Su Hui miraculously appear. He was overjoyed and became very excited, though he could only make muffled sounds to express himself.

"Alright, alright, I’m going to untie you, seeing how anxious you are." While saying this, Su Hui walked over, feeling a sense of accomplishment, convinced that nothing could stop her from rescuing the hostage now.

However, it wasn’t as simple as Su Hui had imagined. Du Jun’s hands were chained to the chair, the lock needing a key to unlock. This posed a problem for Su Hui, and she began to question the three enemies knocked out on the ground.

"We don’t know anything about a key." Their response was unsatisfactory to Su Hui, and she resorted to fists and feet once more, ruthlessly interrogating them as she knew there was no time to waste.

At this time, Gu Fan had taken out the enemies outside. Looking at the delivery guy standing there slack-jawed, Gu Fan laughed and said, "It’s not often that you’ll meet someone in our industry who dares to beat up unruly customers like I do; awesome, isn’t it?"

Hearing this, the delivery guy shivered. Thinking to himself, "If you’re willing to hit a customer, you’d probably hit a colleague too," he quickly turned his electric bike around and left in a hurry.

Shaking his head and sighing, Gu Fan walked into the house and seeing the mess, knew that Su Hui must have literally let loose on the enemies.

"How is it? Has everything been taken care of?" Upon asking, Gu Fan saw Su Hui frowning and soon understood the situation — their opponents were more prepared than they had anticipated.

The lock was not easy to pick. Gu Fan frisked the enemies thoroughly but failed to find the key on them. Checking the time, he didn’t realise so much time had already passed.

Time waits for no one. Lu Yi, Jie, Qin Jia, and Xu Haowen had all arrived. They all attempted to break the lock, but no one had the ability to do so. Despite brainstorming and pooling their collective wisdom, they were at a loss.

In the meantime, Du Jun, who still had the rag stuffed in his mouth made muffled sounds, which nobody could bear. Finally, someone was kind enough to remove it.

At that moment, Du Jun was finally able to speak normally. He took several deep breaths then couldn’t help but complain, "You guys were doing that on purpose, weren’t you? Only now you decided to remove that rag."

"What, what did you say? If you don’t need us to rescue you and aren’t grateful, then we’ll just leave." Gu Fan pretended to look surprised and disappointed, and everyone else played along, giving the impression they were about to walk out.

Du Jun panicked, "Hey, where’s my brother and sister-in-law? Stop messing around. I appreciate you guys for coming to rescue me. I’ll treat you all to a meal, just hurry up and think of a solution."

"Aren’t we trying to figure out a solution? But we can’t find the key." Gu Fan shrugged, feigning helplessness, then took a glance around the room before speaking again. "If the key isn’t on any of them, it might be hidden somewhere in the room. Everyone, let’s search."

So, everyone started searching the room with the little hope they had left. As for the knocked-out enemies, they were all tied together and their communication devices confiscated to prevent them from contacting their accomplices.

Gu Fan specifically sought out the person who had received a phone call earlier and asked, "Who called you just now? What did they tell you? Why did you look at me differently after the call? Also, who’s this Sister Leng?"

"What are you saying? I don’t understand any of it," the man feigned ignorance.

Su Hui also noticed and asked, "What’s wrong, Gu Fan? Did our cover get blown?"

"Possibly?" Gu Fan reasoned if their whereabouts were exposed, the guards holding Du Jun should have reported it. However, from what he could tell, someone else found him first and then reported it to Du Jun’s guards.

This didn’t make sense at all to Gu Fan. The more he thought about it, the stranger it seemed. That person’s expression had clearly changed after the phone call. What was said during it?

After searching for a while, Qin Jia made a discovery. Holding a key in her hand, she was so delighted she forgot herself and immediately unlocked Du Jun.

"Finally, I’m free! I love you guys!" Du Jun was overjoyed. He sought to seize the opportunity to hug Qin Jia, but Lu Yi rushed over and gave Du Jun a hug instead, "No need to thank us. Even though you’re a traitor, we can’t just watch you die. You may have a questionable character, but we’re the good guys. You might..."

"Alright, enough with the nonsense, let’s get out of here already." Just as Su Hui finished speaking, she noticed Gu Fan was on the phone.

"Hey, Lin Xi, we’ve already rescued Du Jun. What’s the situation on your end? Those guys should’ve arrived by now," Gu Fan wanted to confirm something. Then he heard Lin Xi’s response, "Not yet, we’ve been waiting for a long time."

"Ok, got it." Gu Fan ended the call, his face turning solemn. "It seems the enemy has discovered us and is on their way back. We must leave immediately."

"No way, how did they know we were coming? Did one of these bastards report us?" Jie glared at the few tied ones after saying this.

Both Gu Fan and Su Hui knew that from the surprise attack to beating these guys and confiscating their phones, they had no chance to alert their companions. Except for the phone call before the attack.

"Alright, no need to think too much now; we cannot afford to stay here for long." With that, Gu Fan took his group and left. However, something was nagging him, either the enemy had noticed their traces and called back to warn Du Jun’s guards, or during the fight, the call had not ended and the group heard the commotion and knew something had gone wrong on Du Jun’s end.

Either way, they needed to escape first. Gu Fan was concerned about which direction they had fled in the van, so he chose another route to retreat.

However, Leng Le had also considered this and ordered his men to split into two, surrounding them from both roads to ensure no one slipped through.

As Gu Fan and his people were running, they saw a van driving towards them. The situation had turned, the enemy’s force had finally returned.

When they looked back, they saw another van coming. They were surrounded with no options. They were only left with two choices. The first was a frontal assault, but as Qin Jia and Du Jun were not capable of fighting and Gu Fan and Su Hui alone couldn’t hold out for long. The second option was to hide in the small woods.

"Run that way!" Under Gu Fan’s leadership, everyone ran towards the small woods. Even though they didn’t know if they could escape, they still had hope.

"Chase them!" Leng Le got out of the car, his gaze icy cold, fists clenched tightly.

As the tallest one, Hai was the first one to rush out, with his subordinates behind him. More than twenty people began to pursue Gu Fan and his group. They had an absolute advantage in terms of numbers and strength.

"This could be tricky." Gu Fan quickly called Lin Xi for help and sent her their location.

By this time, Gu Fan, Su Hui and the others had already entered the small woods. However, this did not allow them to widen the gap with their pursuers. Instead, Du Jun, who had been kidnapped for several days, was in a bad state and needed Jie and Lu Yi to support him. Qin Jia was a woman and ran slower than the others, making their progress less than ideal.

Left with no choice, Gu Fan and Su Hui decided to stay behind to fight and delay the enemy’s pursuit.

One opposition member advanced, and Su Hui sent him flying with a kick. The sight made five or six other men too scared to approach her, forcing them to go around her instead.

"I’ll handle this one, you go after the others." Hai walked up, his tall stature and determined pace putting tremendous pressure on Su Hui.

Having lost to Hai during their two previous encounters, Su Hui felt she was still not his match even after intensifying her training. She quietly prayed that the others could escape unharmed.

How could Gu Fan single-handedly stop more than twenty of them? He could only watch as they broke through their defense and charged towards Du Jun and Qin Jia.

"It’s terrible; they’re going to catch up to us." Seeing the enemy approaching like fierce tigers, Qin Jia went pale with fright.

"I’m here!" Xu Haowen bravely lunged at the enemy, entangling himself with them. His performance was impressive, but he alone couldn’t make much of a difference against the overwhelming enemy force.

Jie tried to fight with his jack-of-all-trades skills but was quickly punched dizzy. He asked for a pause, "Wait, wait, let me catch my breath."

Lu Yi and Du Jun were also caught up to. Their resistance was purely symbolic.

Things were genuinely bad. Gu Fan watched helplessly, his anxiety growing. When he was distracted, he was punched by the enemy.

Things weren’t looking good for Su Hui either. She was barely holding her ground against Hai. After a head-on punch, Su Hui felt like her bones were broken. She wondered if her opponent was even human.

Just then, a unique and powerful force exploded from Du Jun, Lu Yi, Jie, Xu Haowen, and Qin Jia. It sent their attackers flying and landing on the ground, writhing in pain.

"What’s going on? What’s the situation?" Everyone was stunned, and then they all heard Lin Xi’s voice ringing in their ears, "What are you waiting for? Run!"
