Having acquired the pages, Mu You extracted them right away and upgraded all the common magic he could to the top level: the Snowball Curse, Weather Curse, Fast Repair, Lighting Spell, Arcane Missile, Holy Light, Divine Shield Spell, and Food Creation Spell.

The former ones don’t need any explanation; the upgrades mainly increased their power to some extent. For example, the Arcane Missile had been enhanced to fire five missiles at once, and the healing value of Holy Light and Divine Shield had been increased to 500 at a time.

The only significant change was with the Food Creation Spell.

The LV5 Food Creation Spell added an energy-restoring effect to the magic bread it created. Eating one granted +1 action power, but there was a daily limit of 5, and it only worked for the caster himself.

Although restrictive, it was nevertheless another way to restore energy. Players could never have too much action power.

For the next two days, Mu You alternated his time between the academy and Clockwork City.

Fortunately, the daylight hours in the two places did not overlap. During the day, he studied diligently at the academy; at night, he played the role of a Fire Keeper in Clockwork City, causing a ruckus and collecting useful alchemical components.

During these two days, two significant events unfolded in the real world.

Sunrise City and Dawn City, the two new Sky Cities, were successively established on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Sunrise City was located in the far eastern plains of the Star Spirit World, and its City Lord was ’Shadowless’, the president of God’s Edge.

The news did not surprise everyone. God’s Edge, being the world’s top power, had announced in advance their intention to compete for Sunrise City. This deterred other powerful competitors, who flocked to compete for other cities. Thus, they essentially seized control of this city without any pressure.

However, the City Lord of Dawn City announced the next day did astonish many—it was the Son of Heaven!

After the Son of Heaven and Monarch Divine Authority had been defeated by Ghost Captain in the race for Dawn City, they disappeared from the internet. Many thought they had withdrawn from the race for the Sky Cities. Yet, against all expectations, they resurfaced mere days later and successfully seized another Sky City!

Remember, Pluto, another superpower, had previously claimed Dawn City. Although Pluto was not as dominant as God’s Edge, it was still one of the top five forces in the world, a notch higher than Monarch Divine Authority.

Moreover, Pluto had disclosed early on that they had obtained several fragments, giving them a definitive advantage in the fight for Dawn City. It seemed like their victory was guaranteed.

Yet, they still overturned!

According to some inside sources from Pluto, they hadn’t noticed the presence of Monarch Divine Authority until the city gates opened and they sprang out, catching Pluto off guard.

According to insiders, Monarch Divine Authority didn’t have many members—less than two hundred—but they were ’extremely united’, restricting their actions throughout the contest and eventually snatching Dawn City, which should have been theirs!

This outcome could only be described as a shocking upset.

No matter what, the City Lord had been established, and anything more was of no avail.

Nevertheless, Son of Heaven and Monarch Divine Authority managed to counteract their previous image as losers with their forceful performance.
