Chapter 413: Chapter 264: Time Rewind VS Future Vision_1
[Salina Daybringer (Level 30): The princess of the Sunlight Elf Clan, the gem of the Daybringer family, and is also among the finest Arcane Mages in her clan...]
The feedback from the Omniscient Crystal specifically mentioned that this Elf Princess is ’the most outstanding Arcane Mage’ amongst the Sunlight Elves.
Could this mean that the title of Arcane Mage originated from the Sunlight Elves?
If indeed that is the case, then perhaps there’s a chance of finding the remaining pieces of the Arcane Mage Suit in Phoenix City.
Of course, the legendary armour set she has on, would certainly be one of a kind. Similar to the purple outfit worn by Mu You, it must have been made as a replica using some method.
"It appears your quest is complete..." Salina closed her book, unconcerned by Mu You’s gaze and instead looked towards the Abyss Dragon in his hand.
"Yes, this is the Abyss Dragon agreed upon." Mu You handed the unconscious dragon over.
Salina casually beckoned above her, and the dragon then floated up and flew to her.
"What a powerful shrinking spell..."
After seeing the dragon, Salina was somewhat surprised and said, "This dragon wasn’t captured by you, right?" looking at Mu You.
"No." Mu You didn’t bother to hide it either. Given his currently low level, only a fool would believe he could take on the abyss himself and return unscathed with a dragon.
However, even if the dragon was given to him by someone else, it doesn’t impact the completion of his quest. After all, the quest didn’t require him to catch it by himself.
As expected, Salina didn’t have much to say, just nodded and casually snapped her fingers near the dragon’s ear.
The dragon under the influence of the Sleeping Potion suddenly woke up. As soon as it regained consciousness, it instinctively tried to struggle but calmed down upon noticing the nearby Elf female.
Intimidated by the aura radiating from her, the dragon shuddered and curled up into a ball, daring not to move an iota.
After briefly inspecting the dragon, Salina nodded towards Mu You.
"This indeed is an Abyss Dragon, and its bloodline is quite pure... Jane, take him to choose a Phoenix Egg."
"Yes."
After Salina finished speaking, another Elf girl emerged from a shadow nearby, looked at Mu You, and gestured for him to follow her.
This Elf girl, called ’Jane’, seemed to be a dedicated Phoenix breeder.
Mu You followed her, leaving the palace and walking a while deeper into the royal palace grounds until they finally reached a massive golden-red tree.
The tree was about forty to fifty meters high, and from crown to roots, its entirety was a fiery red color that could be mistaken for a roaring fire at first glance.
Mu You and the girl entered a basement next to the tree. It appeared to connect directly with the roots of the fiery tree, where countless blood-red roots intertwined across the entire basement.
Among these roots, countless eggs the size of basketballs were placed, all in a variety of colors. According to the information from the Omniscient Crystal, all of these were Phoenix Eggs!
Mu You was somewhat envious. He thought that Phoenixes, being creatures from legends, would be quite rare. How could there be so many?
The girl led Mu You to the depths of this underground space. In a corner formed by the roots, there were five lightly patterned Phoenix Eggs placed on a platform.
"These five eggs are newly laid, yet to be claimed. Lady Salina means for you to choose one of these five to take with you," the girl looked at Mu You and said.
Mu You nodded and walked over to check them out.
As someone who has never had any contact with Phoenix Eggs, he couldn’t possibly tell how good or bad each one was. But while he couldn’t distinguish them, it didn’t mean the Omniscient Crystal couldn’t.
Upon seeing these eggs, the Omniscient Crystal illuminated the names of each one.
[Excellent Phoenix Egg: High probability of hatching a high-quality Phoenix, high potential limit, small probability of hatching an average Phoenix.]
[Relatively High-Quality Phoenix Egg...]
[Ordinary Phoenix Egg: High probability of hatching an average-quality Phoenix with mediocre potential.]
[Relatively Low-Quality Phoenix Egg...]
[Inferior Phoenix Egg: High probability that the hatched Phoenix will be small and often have a few defects.]
...
There wasn’t much information, and it was all quite speculative, but Mu You trusted it because the order of the eggs at the scene happened to be from "excellent" to "inferior" as assessed by the Omniscient Crystal.
Clearly, the elf breeder sister had figured out the quality of each egg and arranged them accordingly.
There wasn’t much room for hesitation in such a situation. Mu You subconsciously wanted to approach the ’excellent Phoenix egg’ on the far left.
However, just at that moment, Vivian’s voice echoed in his mind: "Choose the one on the far right."
"Oh?"
Mu You hesitated. The egg on the far right was the ’inferior Phoenix egg’, the worst rated of the five eggs. According to the Omniscient Crystal, the Phoenix inside was likely to be defective, so why would Vivian suddenly tell him to choose this one? Could this egg be special?
Without enough time to entertain detailed inquiries, Mu You chose to heed Vivian’s advice and approached the egg on the far right. After all, Vivian wouldn’t harm him.
"I choose this one!"
"Are you sure?" asked the Elf sister, her expression slightly strange.
