Chapter 405: Chapter 261 Panda-man Zhou You_2

The four of them opened up a room on their voice software to make communication easier, and Mu You shared the basic strategy.

They had played together in the Elf Forest before, so they were quite experienced in this kind of group battle.

Little Ya was now level nine, and she quickly summoned nine animals around her. Additionally, she used some special beast control abilities that she had learned from the Forest Elves. After boosting them all, her summoned beasts’ combat power significantly increased.

And Mu You and Lin Xue were even more excessive. Since there weren’t as many restrictions as in the Elf Forest, they could use Necromancy. The two of them summoned eight zombie beasts, two Battle Eagles, two Fire Giants, and two Netherworld Demon Children.

Additionally, Mu You summoned three tree-men, two trolls, and four clones.

Before long, a vast amount of summoned creatures appeared on the battlefield.

[You and your three teammates led 33 summoned creatures into the frontlines of the ratmen, causing chaos in the battlefield...]

With this approach, fighting against the ratmen was much easier. The enemy were too many, and the ratmen didn’t know where to focus their group attacks.

Little Ya was diligently enhancing all the summoned creatures, while Lin Hai was responsible for replenishing their health and shields. Mu You and Lin Xue were at the back, openly casting spells—Fireball, Strong Wind Blowing, Blaze Fire Circle, Snowball Curse, Giant’s Fist. Basically, everywhere there were Ratmen, large-scale damage spells were thrown into the crowd.

Out of the two trolls that Mu You had summoned that day, one was of course the Troll War God. Wielding the Berserk Axe, it charged right to the front lines of the rat swarm, taking on the most damage. But with Mu You and Lin Xue’s Life Barrier always available for support, it stood firm.

At the same time, the Bloodsucking Aura activated by the Berserk Axe perfectly matched the summoned army in the field. So, their group of four was like a perfect military unit.

The other troll was specifically rolled out by Mu You as a ’Totem Summoner’. This troll mage has a skill to create a ’Taunt Totem’ which was particularly effective against these ratmen who would try to run. After bombing a batch of ratmen to less than half health, he would place a Taunt Totem nearby. The ratmen had no choice but to return and attack the totem, only to be harvested by various Area of Effect (AOE) attacks.

[Your team has killed a Ratman Assassin...]

[Your team has killed a Ratman Archer...]

[Your team has killed a Ratman Scavenger...]

...

The kill reminders popped up continuously, rapidly increasing everyone’s experience. Of course, their stamina and lifespan were also visibly dwindling.

However, under their collaborative fight, the ratmen couldn’t hold on for long. They didn’t last for even five minutes – the rat swarm was quickly dispersed.

[Seeing the might of your team and their comrades dying in large numbers, the ratmen panic, turn tail, and flee towards the mountain pass...]

"Master, the ratmen are running away!" Lin Hai’s voice called out on the voice chat.

"Chase after them. You can run away from the monk, but you can’t run away from the temple!"

The ratmen’s escape had a limit – they would at most run back into their holes. This was really for the best, as they were effectively leading the way.

Following the direction of their escape, the group soon found an entrance to a rat hole in the deep part of the mountain pass, under a cliff.

[Seeing all the ratmen flee into the tunnel, you decide to...]

[You decide to stand guard outside.]

The cave was quite narrow with various forks in the road – it was the ratmen’s home turf. Since they’ve found their lair, they decided to wait outside to catch them.

Mu You had a group of summoned creatures guard the cave entrance, occasionally dropping a Taunt Totem to lure out one or two ratmen. They were easily killed, making progress slower but more stable.

They carried on this way from two in the afternoon until four in the morning. By then, the ratmen were almost cleared out.

Then, the group entered the cave, exterminated the remaining scattered ratmen, then set a fire to burn their lair.

Once the lair was burnt down, the monsters would no longer respawn at the original location. Most would respawn at their source, while few would regenerate around the surrounding area. In any case, none would appear in this mountain valley for a while. That was when the cleaning up task could be considered completed.

When the fire was out, Mu You stepped into the cave with his Pumpkin Lantern to look around. As expected, he found some treasures.

[Pumpkin Lamp Special Effects, triggered!]

[The green glow of the Pumpkin Lantern illuminated some special marks deep in the ratmen’s lair.]

[You went over and turned over the scorched soil layer to find a treasure chest buried in the ground. This was part of the loot that the ratmen had obtained from their looting and plundering in the Sunlight Elf Territory.]

[You opened the chest to find seven pieces of equipment and weapons: Light Cloak, Crystal Cuirass, Elf Boots, Ratman Wand...]

Mu You meticulously counted the spoils of war found on the battlefield - five white items and two green items.

Mu You reported the names and effects of the items in the group chat. They were all low-tier equipment, nothing particularly useful. The group chose what they wanted randomly - those who wanted it could have it, and the leftovers were kept by Mu You to take advantage of the Synthesis Furnace later on.

Among the several items, only the Ratman Wand stood out.

[Ratman Wand: A wand made of Spirit Cat fur mixed with living wood, it has a high damage increase against ratmen. When attacking with this wand, damage to ratmen increases by 50%.]
