Chapter 333: Chapter 238: The Wizard Association Relocates_1

"As expected, they’ve started the martial law..."

In an alleyway of the Imperial Capital, Mu You watched the scene of pairs of guards on patrol in the streets and sighed quietly.

The war here had ended, the Arcane Tower had vanished, and the Fool had regained his freedom. He had actually planned to take the opportunity to walk around the city, but a look at the streets showed that wouldn’t be possible.

Due to the recent battle, nearly all the residents and businesses in the Imperial Capital were hiding in their homes, not coming out.

And on the streets, a vast number of guards had begun implementing a curfew policy. They couldn’t distinguish who was the Fool, but they didn’t need to. They simply locked down the city, ordering everyone to stay in their homes. Anybody still loitering on the streets would undoubtedly be the Fool. Any spotted were to be expelled.

The curfew began an hour ago. At this moment, the players either logged off or had already evacuated the Imperial Capital through the Southern City Gate. The paratrooper teams hurriedly collected some pieces of buildings and timely returned to the sky, returning to Earth through the floating door in the sky.

"Should we also leave the city and return in the daytime?" Lin Xue, who was behind him, suggested.

"It’s pointless. The disturbance tonight was too big, the lockdown couldn’t possibly last only one night. Let’s leave a teleportation array and just walk out." Mu You shook his head.

Others who had left the city might encounter difficulties trying to return, but they had a Dark Transfer, so they could return at any time.

Certainly, a teleportation array wasn’t something you could put just anywhere. In places this critical like the Imperial Capital, if they left a teleportation array within the city, it would surely be demolished sooner or later.

After some thought, Mu You believed that a place near the underground geyser he had come across when entering the city was the safest spot.

After that, Mu You had Lin Xue and Vivian get into a bag, and he rode a Chocobo to the reservoir.

The reservoir was eerily quiet in the middle of the night. The embankment made of green stones extended dozens of meters down, leading to the mirror-like water surface. Under the pitch-black night sky, the reservoir looked like a massive beast’s gaping mouth, ready to swallow anything.

After putting away the Chocobo, Mu You leaped into the water below. He swam to the bottom and quickly found the jetting conduit.

This jetting conduit was a one-way route. You could only go from bottom to top, anybody attempting to dive from the top would certainly be propelled back.

However, this couldn’t bother Mu You. He instantly used a ground entry spell to enter the lake bed layer, swam down, and soon arrived at the underground river dozens of meters below. There, in a hidden location underwater, he placed the Dark Teleportation Array.

Subsequently, Mu You took out a bottled Ghost Ship. He poured out the ship.

With a loud splashing noise, the Ghost Ship, accompanied by the water from the bottle, rushed into the river’s surface and rapidly returned to its original size, causing a rolling wave on the surface of the river.

Being bottled for half of the night, the skeleton crew were excited and cheering on the deck as soon as they poured out of the bottle.

Inside the captain’s cabin, Mu You gave the ship’s spirit a new course to sail away from the Imperial Capital following the route they had arrived from.

After watching the Ghost Ship set sail, he dived back underwater, stepped into the teleportation array, and teleported to the Vampire’s Burial, once again sealing away Vivian and Grandma Lin Xue’s remains.

It was only three in the morning, and there were still fourteen hours till when they logged off. The two weren’t in a hurry to leave. Since they were already at Foggy Mountain, they simply started leveling up on the spot.

After the official release, it was no longer possible to find a leveling area as comfortable as the bottom of the Demon Sea or the Poisonous Swamp. Almost every leveling area was crowded with players. Resources were scarce with an overabundance of competitors, making it impossible to avoid disputes over monsters.

The Foggy Mountain was relatively better due to its perilous terrain and covering fog. Not many players could get to above a thousand meters. Walking around here, they could encounter a monster roughly every ten minutes. In a day, they could gain about a thousand experience points, gather herbs along the way, making the overall income quite decent.

Given their power, the monsters on Foggy Mountain didn’t present much of a challenge. Summoning a few creatures, the two of them easily breezed through the area.

Time quickly passed, and they went from the southern part of the mountain all the way to the north as the sky gradually turned bright.

Mu You stood on top of a rock halfway up the mountain and looked down. He happened to see a straw house and courtyard hidden in the morning fog at the foot of the mountain, making him pause.

"What’s wrong?" Lin Xue noticed his abnormality and asked.

"Nothing... You keep training, I will go down and take a look." Mu You greeted Lin Xue and went down the mountain by himself.

The cottage of the Old Farmer, it had been almost a month since he last visited in the game. And in reality, this was his first time visiting in person.

Following the small path between the mountains, he quickly arrived at the foot of the mountain. Mu You saw the small courtyard in the distance.

The small courtyard didn’t seem big and appeared a bit dilapidated, but the landscape was rather charming. And there were several acres of farmland behind the small courtyard, stretching out in all directions. The area it covered wasn’t small.

Both the courtyard and the farmland were fenced in by hedges. Though they appeared low and short, they were in fact magical properties. After setting them up, a barrier would automatically form, marking everything within the boundary as private property. Without the owner’s permission, others couldn’t forcibly enter.

After the game officially released and there was an influx of players, the area near this small courtyard certainly faced visits from numerous players. Maybe to avoid being disturbed, the gate of the courtyard was tightly closed, and the inside of the courtyard was utterly quiet.

It was only 5:30 in the morning, and the sky had just begun to brighten. Mu You didn’t plan on disturbing the old man’s rest so early and prepared to just gaze at the courtyard from a distance.
