Chapter 226: Chapter 194 Troll War God_1

"That was a good performance this time."

Mu You praised as he patted the little spider’s head with a smile.

The little spider fought well in its first battle, striking when it needed to and retreating without hesitation when necessary. It didn’t stubbornly persist when its defenses were broken and it was clearly outmatched. This pleased Mu You greatly. It was indeed a high-level magical beast, naturally possessing experience in real combat.

Mu You took out a loach from his bag to feed it.

The little spider, now fully recovered and seeing the food that Mu You had handed over, immediately grabbed it and went off to the side to gobble it up.

Mu You then took the opportunity to inspect the Spirit Niche.

[Troll Spirit Niche: Input magic power to summon two Level 14 Trolls, lasting for one hour. If new Trolls are summoned within the duration, the original Trolls will disappear. (The Trolls stored in the Spirit Niche will appear randomly when summoned, and each Troll can only appear once a day.)]

Previously, when he was in the cave, he summoned the Level 12 Trolls, but after absorbing the last corpse of the War God, the level actually increased to Level 14!

A total of twenty types of Trolls can be randomly summoned, and each Troll can only appear once a day, which means he can only summon Trolls ten times in a row each day.

Mu You summoned all the Troll types in order to inspect them.

These Trolls included close combat types, ranged attackers, and mages. Each Troll possessed two to three abilities.

With the limit of Level 14, the attributes of these Trolls actually didn’t differ much, their main difference laid in their different abilities.

After inspecting them, Mu You discovered three types of mage trolls with more impressive abilities: the Totem Summoner, the Troll Witch Doctor, and the Troll High Priest.

All three were auxiliary classes. They didn’t possess much combat power themselves, but they had some quite useful auxiliary methods.

The Totem Summoner could summon ’lava’, ’lightning’, and ’taunt’ totems. However, the totems required continuous spell casting to take effect, meaning that only one totem could take effect at a time.

Both the lava and lightning were combat totems. Once released, they could strike enemies near the totem with lava and lightning.

The taunt totem, once released, would make all enemies and monsters within a 50-meter radius forcibly attack the totem. This effect couldn’t be dispelled and the totem had to be destroyed before things could return to normal.

Moreover, these totems were all immune to magic and would disappear automatically after withstanding ten normal attacks.

Among them, the most useful was the taunt totem. Although it could only withstand ten attacks, it seemed like it could be destroyed in a single round of attacks if too many people were controlling it.

However, if it was released in the ever-changing battlefield, the distraction it created, even if it was just for a second or two, was enough to easily disrupt the enemy’s formation and change the outcome of the battle.

The Troll Witch Doctor had the abilities of ’Group Healing’ and ’Curse Doll’.

Group Healing was self-explanatory. It was like a healing aura, able to continuously restore 10 HP per second to allies, which was quite useful in situations with many people.

The crucial one was its second ability, Curse Doll.

The Troll Witch Doctor could collect information about an opponent’s organs by hitting them three times with a ranged magic bullet, and then create a corresponding Curse Doll.

The Curse Doll had 5000 HP, and any damage or magic effects inflicted on it would be fully reflected onto the opponent.

What was insane about this ability was that once a Curse Doll was successfully created, even if the enemy ran to the ends of the earth, they could still be remotely cursed and killed through the Curse Doll at any time.

Finally, the remaining Troll Priest had a Bloodthirst Spell and a Stoneskin Spell.

The Bloodthirst Spell could increase allies’ movement speed by 25% and attack speed by 40%. The Stoneskin Spell could increase allies’ physical defense by 150 points.

Both spells significantly enhanced combat capabilities and were not high in magic cost. They could be applied to many people at the same time. The stronger the individuals were, the more beneficial these two spells were.

Other than these three types of Troll Mages, there was also one special Troll, the one he absorbed last, the only golden skull, the War God Aroman.

[Level 14 Troll War God: Attack power 100-135, HP 14500, Magic 1000. Abilities: Berserker Bloodline, Berserk, Eye for an Eye, Blood for Blood (not acquired yet)]

[Berserker Bloodline: The lower the HP, the greater the attack power, attack speed, and magic resistance.]

[Berserk: Upon activation, damage incurred increases by 50%, while also obtaining the ’Immovable Body’ effect, becoming immune to any speed reduction and trapping control magic effects.]

[Eye for an Eye: Upon activation, burn 10% of current life value with each attack, and inflict equal additional damage to the target upon hitting.]

[Blood for Blood: Instantly exchanges HP with a target, cooldown time is one hour. Obtainable after reaching Level 15.]

The attributes of this Troll War God were kind of similar to the Troll Berserker that he had fought in the dungeon. Berserk, Berserker Bloodline, and Eye for an Eye were all abilities that Mu You had witnessed first-hand on that Berserker, so he knew very well how insane these abilities could be when used together.

And this Troll War God, aside from having the abilities of the Berserker, also possessed the new ability of Blood for Blood, which allowed him to directly swap HP values with his opponent!

Berserkers excelled in blood trading, and scenes of a Berserker’s HP dropping to single digits were common. If a HP swap were to occur in such a situation... it was a beautiful scenario to imagine. In any case, this ability was the perfect match for a Berserker!

Regrettably, this final ability could only be unlocked once you’re level 15 or higher. For now, he could only gaze at it.

"Level 15 and up... So that means at least level 16, right..."

Mu You pondered for a moment. Currently, lighting up fifteen skulls could summon a level 14 troll. According to this pattern, if he could absorb one or two more corpses of higher rank, he should be able to make the summoned troll break through level 15.

If he could fill all the remaining five slots, he could even summon a troll close to level 20!

Mu You looked contentedly at the three-meter-tall troll in front of him.

This summoned creature was not like the Sanctuary Guard of the werewolf he had summoned before, this was a true Berserk, majoring in combat.

What’s more, the furious style of combat of this Berserker could be combined with the five-second invincibility of the Life Barrier. A Berserk that put on a blood lock and had abilities like ’Berserk’ was basically invincible!

After listing all the troll’s abilities, Mu You put away the Spirit Niche and returned the tiny spider and two trolls to his backpack.

Now that the elf side’s mission was completed, Mu You didn’t rush to teleport back to the Snow Plains, but instead went to the Old Cat Store at the entrance of the village.

The current time was 11:40. The shop would refresh its stock at 12 o’clock. He might be able to obtain two spells for free in one go.

He headed west until he reached the entrance of the village, and soon saw a small wooden house with an owl-shaped sign hanging above it.

This shop was no different than the roadside stalls commonly seen on Earth. All the goods could be seen directly through the window next to the wooden house.

Mu You switched to his Mysterious Human Skin and walked to the window of the wooden house.

"Hello, honorable Lord Wizard, how may I assist you today?"

The Owl Shopkeeper immediately stood when he saw Mu You’s appearance outside, speaking respectfully.

Mu You glanced at the goods in the cabinet. Of the three slots for goods, one was already empty, marked as sold out.

In the remaining two slots, one was a Magic Wand, but this was of no use to him.

The other item was a spell scroll.

Lighting Spell: Low-level light magic, creates a light source in the palm of your hand to illuminate the surrounding darkness. The more magic power input, the larger the illumination range.

Mu You was slightly disappointed after reading this. He had night vision, so this spell was nearly useless to him.

However, since it was free, Mu You readily acquired it.

After stealthily learning the spell and rewinding time, Mu You didn’t rush to leave, but chatted with the Boss Cat for a while, biding his time at the window.

Suddenly it was midnight.

Mu You saw an owl descend from the sky, claws clutching a square carrying case, and fly directly into the store from the roof.

Inside the wooden house, the Old Cat Store Owner had already taken the carrying case directly, and opened it with familiarity. Inside the box were five goods.

The Old Cat Store Owner placed the unsold Magic Wand into it, then swiftly drew three items from the box.

Now that Mu You understood how the store updated its stock—turns out there were designated ’Deliverymen’ delivering new goods at scheduled times and retrieving unsold products—he quickly scanned the goods in the box. Seeing the Old Cat Store Owner almost finished choosing the products, he hurriedly spoke out: "Elementary Life Magic Comprehension, I need that."

The Old Cat Store Owner was taken aback; he didn’t expect the customer to suddenly place an order at this time.

But of course, the customer’s demand is the most important, so he thought for a while, replaced one of the items with the Life Comprehension scroll.

To Mu You’s surprise, the Old Cat Store Owner didn’t return the scroll that had been selected, but put down another item.

After the store owner bid farewell to the delivery owl and put out the three new items, Mu You immediately looked at the spell scroll.

[Food Creation Scroll: High-level light magic. Transforms the magic power in the air into magical food, filling you and your allies’ stomachs while slightly recovering HP and magic power. Sale price: 1,000 years of life.]

This was a high-level spell. fortunately, Mu You, using his mysterious man skin, could just about afford it after it was discounted to 80%.

Mu You snapped up the scroll decisively, tore it open skillfully to learn it, and then rewound time. New spell acquired!

He then picked up the Life Magic comprehension page.

The price was only eight years, so Mu You bought it outright. After all, this page was different from the others; with life magic being the faction he currently had the most spells of, and it was certain more life magic spells would over time, the demand was high. He might as well buy it now and resolve all his future low-level spell scroll needs in one fell swoop.
