Chapter 177: Chapter 160 Deep Sea Fear (Two in One, 6600 Words) _3

The crafting material for Vampire Claws was the ’Purification Stone’, a stone originally used to damage souls. Therefore, although the Vampire Claws were physical weapons, they could directly attack ghosts.

Mu You immediately switched to the vampire skin. It was just dusk now, and the attribute bonus of the Night King hadn’t come into effect yet, but having the claw weapon was enough.

Mu You pierced a ghost trying to sneak attack him from behind with a claw.

When the claws entered the ghost, a sizzling sound immediately erupted, as though the sound of meat melting on a grill.

The ghost howled in pain, its HP rapidly dwindling. Mu You swiftly followed up with two more claw strikes, completely annihilating the ghost.

[You have killed a normal ghost (level 4) and gained 4 experience points.]

Killing these creatures did not yield any life span, nor were there any dropped item rewards, it was much less profitable than killing regular monsters.

However, at least they provided experience points. Seeing his experience bar gradually increasing , Mu You gained motivation. Wielding his claws, he continuously bullied these little ghosts, killing them off in the depths of the sea and quickly filling up his already not-so-low experience bar.

[Experience: 645/640, level up?]

Mu You leveled up to level nine on the spot, all attributes increased by one. From the 5 free attribute points, he allocated 1 point to agility, 2 to intelligence, and the remaining 2 to physique, to further increase his HP limit.

His current attributes are: Strength 12 points, Agility 24 points, Intelligence 36 points, Physique 13 points.

The number of ghosts in the sea was high enough that leveling up by killing them was very thrilling. However, as the number of ghosts attracted increased, Mu You was soon overwhelmed.

Seeing that he was about to be surrounded by a dense mass of green phantoms, Mu You decisively switched to his ghost form and blended in with the ghosts.

After eliminating the breath of the living, the ghosts finally calmed down a bit, gazing around in confusion, as if searching for the living being that had just disappeared.

Meanwhile, Mu You took advantage of his one minute of ghost time to escape the encirclement of ghosts. He found a nearby underwater mountain peak devoid of skeletons and crouched down on the narrow peak.

Looking down at the groups of ghosts, which almost filled the seafloor, Mu You felt his scalp tingling. This scene was so eerie that anyone with poor mental fortitude would likely be scared senseless.

Shaking his head, Mu You took out the lantern pole from his backpack and shook the small bell on it.

As the bell rang, the top of the lantern lit up with a faint light. A weak Soul Shadow appeared in the light, resembling a man wearing a pirate hat.

"Hey, I’ve arrived at the sinking location of the Ghost Ship, where is your ship?"

Mu You asked in the Star Spirit Language. When he was disposing of the ghosts earlier, he had scanned the surroundings. All he saw on the seafloor were dense skeletons and sludge, no trace of any ship.

In such a vast sea area, it was impossible to find that ship without some clue.

Unexpectedly, Vieri became excited as soon as he appeared. He leaned on the edge of the lantern, surveying the seafloor below: "I can sense it! It’s nearby... the aura of my enemies and my beloved ship..."

"In which direction?"

"In that direction!" Vieri sensed something for a while, then quickly pointed in a direction.

So Mu You switched to his ghost form and hurried in that direction. He then continued searching under Vieri’s guidance.

This went on for nearly an hour, following the clues back and forth till Vieri’s tips finally stopped.

"It’s here!"

Mu You hovered in the air above the seafloor while Vieri, inside the lantern, pointed excitedly below.

"Are you sure?"

Mu You looked down. The area below was just a sandy seabed filled with skeletons. It was flat and gave no indication that a large ship was buried there.

"There’s no mistake! It’s right beneath us. The aura of my poor Ghost Ship and the disgusting stench of the traitors!"

Seeing Vieri’s eyes glow red and his body tremble in excitement, Mu You hastily put him back in his backpack. He didn’t want Vieri’s soul to dissipate before they even found the ship due to the overwhelming excitement.

Mu You switched to his ghost form, sank to the sandy seabed, and searched the area.

However, all he found nearby were skeletons and sand, nothing else.

Just as his ghost form was about to run out, Mu You was considering whether to revert to his physical form and take out the Pumpkin Lantern for a look.

But as soon as he turned back to his physical form, he suddenly felt the ground beneath his feet give way.

The sand beneath him seemed hollow, unable to hold his weight. It turned into quicksand and swallowed him up.

He abruptly fell into the depths of the sands, and he was sinking rapidly. Although surprised, Mu You did not struggle as the prompt in his mind gave him the answer.

[You have entered the ’Abyss of the Dead’. It is a path left by a group of pirate undead in order to preserve their ship and their remaining humanity, hoping that one day they will get the chance to see the light of day again.]

Mu You slid down this path of the deceased and a few minutes later, he fell into a deeper, darker seabed.

Was there another seabed beneath the seabed?

Without having time to ponder, Mu You swam hurriedly towards the light in a certain location above.

In this dark, enclosed depth of the sea where there was absolutely no light, any terrestrial creature would subconsciously head towards that glimpse of light.

Soon after, Mu You broke through that glimmer of light and surfaced.

In front of him was a huge, 60 to 70 meters tall space. He was lying on a stalagmite by the shore.
