Chapter 1477: Chapter 641: War is Imminent, Urgent Mobilization_2
At the top of the tower, Mu You could now clearly sense the activity inside the City of Order through a thin spatial barrier.
Blood-stained soil, pockmarked grave pits dug up everywhere.
Directly above was evidently the ancient battlefield to the south of the City of Order.
It was daytime; Mu You had expected to see many Titans excavating graves up above.
But surprisingly, there were hardly any people across the entire ancient battlefield. The few Titans present were moving hurriedly, busy transporting various equipment and facilities, looking as though they were preparing for a collective retreat.
"What’s going on? Has something changed inside the City of Order?" Mu You felt perplexed, quickly pushing his heightened sense ability to its maximum to gather any nearby intelligence.
He searched all the way to the edge of the ancient battlefield and managed to glean a bit of information from the dialogue between two Titans.
"According to reports from the Scout Team, we’ve already pinpointed the Fool’s gathering location..."
"The War Supervisor is preparing for the battle ahead..."
"When do we set out?"
"Still unclear. It’s expected by tomorrow morning. The order from the lords is to launch a raid on the Fool by tomorrow nightfall and capture their city within a day. No delays allowed..."
...
Mu You felt a jolt of shock.
The Titans were actually preparing to launch a surprise attack on Sunset City!
And the timing was as soon as tomorrow night, meaning the war was imminent.
Good thing he had already subdued the Tower of Order—had he come any later, he might not have been able to catch up with their movements...
After confirming the information, Mu You quietly retreated from the top level.
He didn’t intend to open the entrance above just yet; that could wait for the right moment.
Having resolved matters within the server, Mu You’s consciousness returned along the Karma Lines and merged back with his physical body.
In the bedroom of the pet shop, Mu You opened his eyes, lying on the bed.
He looked up and found himself surrounded by a group of people.
"You’re finally awake!"
The Lamp God let out a sigh of relief upon seeing Mu You regain consciousness.
Three hours ago, when Mu You’s Deviation Value had hit its most critical point, it suddenly plunged dramatically, dropping to an almost imperceptible level. No one knew exactly what had happened, but it seemed he had passed through the danger.
Sure enough, the Deviation Value eventually hit zero entirely and hadn’t increased again since.
"What happened?" The Lamp God finally had time to ask.
"It’s a long story..." Mu You shook his head. His time within the Tower of Order might have lasted only a day or two for others, but for him, it felt like an endlessly drawn-out experience with emotions only he could truly understand and could hardly describe to anyone else.
"What about reality? Any new developments?" Mu You looked at the group and asked.
The Medicinal Plant Gatherer spoke up: "Blue Beard sent word not long ago. He reported spotting a Titan near Sunset City. By the time we noticed, it had already approached within 2,000 meters of Sunset City and then fled. We couldn’t stop it..."
"Which means the location of Sunset City could already be compromised..." The Lamp God said, his tone growing heavy.
"Yes, I’m aware." Mu You replied.
"You’re aware?" The Lamp God was startled.
Mu You then explained the enemy intelligence he had overheard atop the tower.
"Tomorrow evening? That’s... way too fast!" The Lamp God frowned upon hearing this.
Even though Mu You had successfully returned and presumably opened the server channels, humans were still not ready. The specific battle plan wasn’t even outlined yet, and Mu You himself had only just resurrected and was still acclimating to reality. Most importantly, the Blood God had not yet returned!
In short, preparations on all fronts were still incomplete. However, with the enemy now set to launch a surprise attack, there was no choice but to face it head-on.
"Any updates on the Blood God?" Mu You turned to the Medicinal Plant Gatherer and asked.
"No," the Medicinal Plant Gatherer shook his head, displaying the Gemini Stone: "Left her a message, but there’s been no response. Likely, her resurrection isn’t finished yet..."
Mu You estimated that the Seam God, upon seeing him seize the Blood God’s Trunk earlier, likely guessed their intent to revive the Blood God. This was probably why the Titans were now rushing to launch this war—to preempt the Blood God’s resurrection.
"If that’s the case, then there’s no waiting for the Blood God..." Mu You thought.
If the Blood God couldn’t return in time, they’d have to rely on their own strength to confront the Titans, and the battle strategy from now had to be formulated with the assumption of the Blood God’s absence.
Mu You promptly broadcasted the imminent Titan siege to all senior members of the global self-preservation group.
He shared his plan to take a select group to launch a counter-attack on the City of Order, calling for volunteers to respond urgently.
The sudden news left everyone in shock. The exposure of Sunset City’s location had only recently come to light, and now it seemed the Titans were going straight for the city already!
They were left with only a day’s time to prepare.
As for Mu You’s proposed plan, everyone pondered it for a moment individually before acknowledging its feasibility.
However, the thought of players sending their physical bodies to Sky High presented significant risks—not due to parasitic threats, but the inability to resurrect!
The only entities able to resurrect in Sky High were the Fool’s game characters. Human bodies made of flesh and blood, once killed, couldn’t be brought back!
This was the point of hesitation for many elite players. If the war was lost, they still had the chance to revive and flee to other Sky Cities for refuge, but if their actual bodies died, everything was over.
Mu You understood their concerns clearly, so he made it explicit in the group messages: anyone willing to take this risk would receive priority allocation of Divine Blood, Divine Bone, and even Divine Artifacts as rewards once the City of Order was captured.
