Chapter 1475: Chapter 640: A Glance Through Ten Thousand Years, The God of Order’s Arrangement _3
The Chaotic Avatar suddenly sighed, "It seems you’ve figured it out."
"Yes, I understand now," Mu You nodded.
Through an epiphany spanning ten thousand years, he had simulated and deduced the game countless times, thoroughly understanding every move, every piece, and even going beyond the current board to project into the future, witnessing the endgame under chaos’s dominance.
The sea of chaos, this Chapter symbolizing the symphony of brutality, would, without restraint, continuously ascend toward greater crescendos, and then — amid ultimate chaos and eruption — collapse into self-annihilation, much like a thermonuclear explosion.
"Ultimate order brings extinction, true, but ultimate chaos is also extinction. It’s just that one is cold and silent, while the other is hot and violent," Mu You spoke slowly.
"In the battle between order and chaos, neither side can truly obliterate the other; they must coexist and rely on each other. You’ve known this for a long time, which is why you employed psychological tactics to drive my Deviation Value beyond its limits."
As Mu You spoke, he casually placed a piece on the board.
This time, no retrospection or deliberation was required; each move flowed as naturally as eating or drinking water.
Yet, these seemingly reckless placements devastated the opponent. They flailed desperately, unable to fend off the moves.
The area representing order on the board began expanding at an astonishingly rapid pace.
This wasn’t because Mu You’s understanding of the divine laws had completely overwhelmed the opponent — rather, it was because Mu You’s current system of order was specifically engineered to counteract chaos.
Within mere three minutes, Mu You managed to reclaim the board to an equilibrium.
The scales of order were restored to balance.
"But what does it matter, even if you understand the relationship between order and chaos? Even if you’re stronger than me, so what?" The Chaotic Avatar said, "You still can’t eliminate me."
"That’s right. I can’t annihilate you, and you can’t annihilate me. Unless one side suffers psychological collapse, there can be no victory or defeat," Mu You agreed with a nod.
"Then are you planning to waste time locking horns with me?" The Chaotic Avatar sneered coldly, "I can keep dragging this out for countless years here, but do you have the time for that? Aren’t there plenty of things waiting for you in reality?"
"In truth, from the moment you sat down at this game, my victory was already predestined!" The Chaotic Avatar continued his tirade.
Faced with the Chaotic Avatar’s claims, Mu You didn’t respond directly but instead suddenly smiled at him, "I finally understand the purpose behind the God of Order leaving you here..."
With the degree of understanding Mu You had attained regarding the Law of Order over the past ten thousand years, he could have easily crushed this avatar. Not to mention the God of Order, who had been studying order for countless years.
Even at death’s door, the God of Order could have completely annihilated the opponent.
But the God of Order didn’t do so; he used a more troublesome method, imprisoning this avatar within the tower, preparing it as a gift for future generations instead.
"The God of Order left you here intentionally, not so I could destroy you..."
"—but rather so I could fuse with you," Mu You said with a smile.
Hearing this, the face of the Chaotic Avatar suddenly twisted into a grimace of fury, as if a sore spot had been struck, and he began attacking the chessboard frantically.
But it was useless. No matter how he struggled, Mu You responded to each move in kind; the black and white pieces on the board remained evenly matched, and the scale continued to hold level.
The Chaotic Avatar grew increasingly frenzied, desperately thrashing about, trying to break the equilibrium.
Mu You, on the other hand, became even more serene, dropping white pieces one after another with ease, keeping the board balanced. "Let the storm rage, and I stand unmoved," he embodied that sentiment.
"Don’t bother trying; it’s pointless," Mu You even had the spare capacity to mock.
"The Three Divine Laws — Chaos, Order, and Time — are special among the Divine Powers, existing independently from the others. These three Divine Powers are equal in standing, forming a trinity, with no concept of superiority or inferiority."
"But now, Time stands on the side of Order. Even with just a small portion of the authority of time, it is enough to tip the balance of this trinity. Therefore, your defeat is inevitable," Mu You declared.
As Mu You spoke these words, the Chaotic Avatar seemed to have been mentally shattered. The Deviation Value inside his body jumped furiously, and his once-elegant composure dissolved into ferocious madness as he glared viciously at Mu You.
The Shadow Man abruptly abandoned the chessboard and lunged at Mu You’s corporeal form, clawing and snarling.
Mu You remained unmoved, seated steadily in place as black chaotic energy enveloped his entire being. He allowed the black mist to rampage over his body, yet he smiled instead.
"Teachability will do..."
From within the balance scale, a faint, satisfied laughter reverberated. Unfortunately, Mu You was so absorbed in battling chaos that he didn’t hear it.
...
Time seemed to lose meaning. When Mu You finally opened his eyes again, the chaotic black mist, and the Chaotic Avatar opposite him, had completely vanished. He was now seated alone at the center of the scale.
Mu You rose from the scale and turned to look around.
In the entire world, there was only him — no trace of battle lingered.
It seemed the entire ordeal had been his own solitary performance from start to finish.
Yet Mu You understood that what had transpired wasn’t an illusion.
Because right now, in his mind, a white figurine, a black figurine, and a pocket watch — representing Order, Chaos, and Time, the Three Divine Powers — stood separately against the sky of his thoughts.
The white figurine was the tallest and most robust, representing the new Order Divine Power he had established.
The black figurine was second, its silhouette still faintly resembling the Shadow Man from earlier. This was the Chaotic Avatar he had forcibly ’kidnapped’ into his consciousness.
At this moment, the black figurine was thrashing about like a raging beast, yet it was firmly suppressed by the white figurine opposite it, unable to break free. Their relationship was akin to that between a doctor and a mentally unstable patient.
Lastly came the pocket watch, symbolizing the Law of Time. Its form was the smallest and remained neutral and detached, quietly observing the clash between the black and white figurines from a distance.
