Chapter 1445: Chapter 629 Dragon Valley
Several seconds later, the blinding white light dissipated.
The four little dragons opened their eyes and found themselves in a wide and comforting embrace.
The owner of this embrace was still alive and vigorous, against all odds.
The so-called God-cutting Blade, known for severing everything, had failed to inflict any fatal damage on the Barbarian.
In the next moment, the Barbarian gently placed them on the ground.
He then turned around, facing the city ahead alone, raised his spear, and let out a thunderous roar toward the countless Titans in the city.
Meanwhile, Mu You and the four little dragons could finally see the Barbarian’s back clearly.
On the Barbarian’s back was an exaggerated knife wound, stretching from the left shoulder to the right rib, evidently caused by the previous slash.
Fortunately, the Barbarian’s physique was exceptionally resilient, and his resistance to attacks with Divinity was extraordinarily high. Though the wound appeared terrifying, it merely sliced through the keratin layer of his skin without harming the flesh and bones underneath—not even a drop of blood was shed.
Shortly after the Barbarian had blocked the attack, several figures emerged one after another from within the distant mist.
A Bone Dragon over a hundred meters long flew out, treading on clouds and mist, carrying three figures on its back—members of their team’s avatars.
Upon learning of Mu You’s situation earlier, they had immediately sent the Bone Dragon and the Barbarian to head toward the outskirts of the City of Order.
The Barbarian’s speed was faster; he arrived at the scene first and managed to turn the tide in the nick of time, while the three avatars and the Bone Dragon showed up slightly later.
Once they landed, the three avatars simultaneously activated their Divine Skin, pretending to be reinforcements from behind, giving off the impression that more were on their way to bolster morale.
At the same time, the role of the Watchman tilted his head back and exhaled a thick, white cloud of Mirage Energy.
Mirage Energy was denser and deeper than regular mist, drastically reducing visibility.
The Mirage Energy spread rapidly, enveloping the surrounding area in the blink of an eye, completely obscuring the group and the dragons from the Titans’ view.
Within the City of Order, the one-minute lockdown timer expired swiftly. The barrier sealing the city quietly dissipated, prompting the Titan army to surge forth.
However, upon approaching the Mirage Energy in front, all the Titans instinctively paused, staring at the rolling white smoke hesitantly. Their steps faltered, glances exchanged, and no one dared to step in first.
The God of Decapitation bypassed the crowd of Titans, approached the mist, and squinted at the Mirage Energy. His brows furrowed.
"Mirage Energy?"
Gripping the knife handle tightly, the God of Decapitation, having weathered multiple Mirage Energy seasons in the Sky High World, could naturally recognize that this was genuine Mirage Energy, not some counterfeit trick.
Moreover, in this thick Mirage Energy, he could even sense an eerie aura that sent chills down his spine—as if a pair of indescribably monstrous eyes were hidden in the mist, silently watching them.
"Gusha..."
The God of Decapitation’s expression hardened, growing increasingly uncertain of the Fool’s capabilities. Could it be that the Fool had already mastered the power of two Beasts of Catastrophe simultaneously?
Regardless, without clarity on the situation within the Mirage Energy, he dared not recklessly order a pursuit.
After observing for a while outside the mist, the Mirage Energy gradually dissipated.
By then, the figures hiding within the fog had all vanished without a trace.
...
"This God of Decapitation is insane! Treating basic attacks like ultimate moves—one strike, one casualty. How are we supposed to beat him?"
Inside the pet shop, the Watchman scrolled through the earlier game log, frowning and muttering.
By this point, their characters had already fled the vicinity of the City of Order and were being guided by the little dragons toward Dragon Valley.
The three avatars had arrived just in time to catch the God of Decapitation’s final strike. If not for the Barbarian’s timely intervention and his freakishly durable physique, blocking the hit, at least one Nine Stars Dragon Clan would’ve perished.
And that was just a casual long-range slash from the God of Decapitation...
"The Seam God isn’t weak either—it’s just that he was caught off guard tonight. First, his Divine Artifact was stolen, and then he was consecutively suppressed by the Law of Order. That’s why he was at a disadvantage. In truth, his Divine Power in combat comes primarily from those grotesque Stitch Beasts he stitches together..." The Lamp God explained grimly.
"Stitch Beasts? Monsters stitched together using various body parts?" asked the Medicinal Plant Gatherer.
"Exactly."
The Lamp God nodded. "These cobbled-together monstrosities generally possess combat power far beyond that of ordinary Nine Stars creatures and can be endlessly created without fear of death. Together, they constitute a force that rivals even divine-level beings... But tonight’s battle saw no Stitch Beasts at all. He probably hadn’t prepared for this; otherwise, escaping would’ve been much harder for you..."
"This is tough. Running into two such troublesome gods right at the start..." The Watchman rubbed his temples in frustration.
Tonight was merely a brief encounter between the parties—a light skirmish with no significant losses on either side, each retreating after the clash.
However, in the future, when aiming to capture the City of Order, these two gods would be unavoidable adversaries, ensuring an inevitable showdown.
"To take down these two gods, the first step will be finding a way to split them apart. Their Divine Powers must not collaborate—otherwise, there’s no way to win..." The Medicinal Plant Gatherer mused aloud.
"And after splitting them apart? Who faces off against whom?" The Lamp God asked. "Let’s be real here—just the God of Decapitation’s absurd slash attack... can any of you withstand it?
The Seam God is another nightmare; his attack strength may be moderate, but his survival capabilities are utterly ridiculous. Without a way to counteract his Stitching Divine Power, he’s almost invincible. Admittedly, the God of Decapitation could’ve been his counter, but they’re on the same side..."
