Chapter 1436: Chapter 626: The Undying Body

The commotion and radiance of the Wind Burial Cannon were immense, instantly drawing the attention of many Titans on the streets within the city.

Up ahead, the three fleeing figures instinctively halted and turned back, looking at the towering beam of light behind them with shock.

"What’s happening? Someone else is ambushing?" Yellow Dragon exclaimed in surprise.

"That’s where we just passed by!" Green Dragon frowned.

All three dragons noticed that not far down the street, in an empty space, a human stood with his arms raised high. The beam of light clearly came from him.

Meanwhile, in the high-altitude beam of light, the Seam God was completely engulfed by the blinding Energy Orb.

Under the endless barrage of minute Wind Blades slicing through the air, the Seam God’s original form had long ceased to resemble anything human. His entire body was being torn apart by an unrelenting storm of Wind Blades and violently dismembered by the berserk wind-energy forces into chunks of flesh and bone, which were then further shredded into strands of muscle fiber, shattered bones, and droplets of blood...

"Holy crap! Instant kill?" Yellow Dragon’s eyes widened, his face utterly incredulous.

This old man was a Twelve-Star god! To shred a Twelve-Star Divine Being with a single move—what kind of concept was this? Even the three Great Elders of the Dragon Clan wouldn’t be capable of such a feat.

"No, he’s deliberately refraining from resisting. He’s not dead yet!" Black Dragon stared fixedly at the beam of light with a grave expression.

Now, within the beam, the fragmented pieces of the Seam God—those scattered chunks of meat and bone—were astonishingly beginning to reconnect and reassemble bit by bit.

Though the reconstructed form was repeatedly torn apart by the Wind Blades as it tried to come together, the Wind Blades had a time limit.

As time passed, the power of the Wind Burial Cannon rapidly waned, and within the beam, the growing fragments began to assemble more rapidly.

Soon, the glowing beam of the Wind Burial Cannon faded completely, leaving behind only a one-square-meter lump of flesh and a few segments of rib bones, floating mid-air. Around it, fragments of bone and flesh continued flying back, stitching themselves onto the growing mass.

The flesh and bone swelled in size, recovering at increasing speed, gradually taking on the silhouette of a Titan. It resembled an anatomical model of the human body placed in a biological research laboratory.

The outline continued to repair itself, with details like skin, hair, and nails appearing one after another...

In just a few seconds, the bloody silhouette fully restored itself into the Seam God’s original form, like a Scarecrow that had been ripped apart, its scattered pieces of straw regathered and stitched back together—clothing and all.

The Seam God exhaled white-hot steam from his entire body, raised his head, and glared menacingly at Mu You in the distance. Clenching his teeth, he growled out his words, one syllable at a time.

"Fool, you’re courting death!"

Earlier, after unleashing the cannon blast, Mu You had commanded his companion to catch the fallen White Dragon mid-air and quickly escaped to the other side.

He was now helping remove the threads from the White Dragon’s body while casting a wary glance back at the fully reformed Seam God, his brows furrowed deeply.

Mu You had never expected that a single shot of the enhanced Wind Burial Cannon could truly one-shot a Twelve-Star god. However, since this was a point-blank blast, even gods should sustain some injuries from a direct hit, shouldn’t they?

But the result? Not even a scratch...

"Stitching everything back together... Could this guy really be immune to physical attacks?" Mu You muttered under his breath.

"No way! Even an attack like that didn’t leave a mark?" Green Dragon looked at the Seam God’s perfectly restored form, radiating despair.

That earlier attack—it still wasn’t entirely clear what it was, but they had seen with their own eyes how it tore the god’s body into fragments. If even that couldn’t harm him, wouldn’t this guy be completely unbeatable?

"No, he deliberately let himself be torn apart. A typical divine body isn’t that easy to dismember..." Black Dragon said grimly.

"Why?" the other two dragons asked, baffled.

"Because his authority is Stitching. Using his body to directly resist such an attack would consume a lot more energy and could even leave permanent injuries. Instead, by acquiescing to the force and voluntarily breaking his body apart, he minimizes energy drain and can seamlessly stitch himself back together once the attack subsides..." Black Dragon explained.

"Bastard, you’re dead meat!"

In the distance, the Seam God’s face was ashen as he charged toward Mu You, needles and threads flying out of his hands first.

Mu You hastily brought up his interface, activating his Divine Skin for defense. Without a second thought, he grabbed the White Dragon and darted backward in an explosive retreat.

Combat? That was impossible. He was merely a Five-Star player. Even with Divine Skin activated, he would only reach the level of seven or eight stars at best. Facing a Twelve-Star god head-on was pure suicide.

"Who is this guy really? Why does he feel so weak..." Yellow Dragon and Green Dragon exchanged puzzled looks as they watched the distant figure fleeing.

At first, they had suspected this mysterious person was some concealed powerhouse, but judging by his current performance, he didn’t even compare to any of the three of them, let alone the Seam God.

"I don’t know, but at least he doesn’t seem like an enemy!" Black Dragon responded.

He had noticed earlier that as soon as the stranger released his attack, his first action was to save Little White, and he had even seemed inclined to free the captured Little White further. He just hadn’t had the chance before the Seam God intercepted him.

"Help him!" Black Dragon made a decisive move and charged forward first.

The other two dragons, spotting an opportunity to rescue their companion, were already impatient to follow suit and quickly joined in.

The three dragons transformed into bolts of lightning, weaving rapidly across the rooftops as they closed in on the Seam God and attacked from three directions simultaneously.

The air rang with a cacophony of metallic clangs as the countless flying threads and needles were deflected by the three dragons. For the moment, they successfully relieved the pressure on Mu You.

Mu You had to admit: this Seam God’s mastery over needles and threads was genuinely troublesome. Up until now, he had been entirely on the defensive, unable to even spare a moment to write any rules of engagement.
