Chapter 1125 - 511: Wind Burial

Chapter 1125: Chapter 511: Wind Burial

High above, the pitch-black serpent continued its tug-of-war with the shadow trailing behind it.

Gusha desperately writhed and struggled, the mountainsides in the sky were continuously struck, creating fissures, the earth shook, and rocks tumbled down.

However, no matter how hard Gusha tried, the mass of shadow behind it, like a hound that had entered a frenzied state, simply refused to let go of the serpent’s tail.

From the looks of the scene, the shadow was completely incapable of inflicting any damage on Gusha and could only take a beating one-sidedly. But the shadow’s tenacity lay in its ability to slip into the shadows at any moment. Gusha’s attacks could only pound the mountainside, never harming the shadow itself.

"Shadow Fur Ball, you’ve grown quite a bit, haven’t you..."

Mu You watched the fierce battle in the sky and frowned slightly.

The current Shadow Fur Ball had long ceased to be the level-zero fluffy pet from before; it was now a monster at the peak level of thirty.

According to the abilities reflected back by the Omniscient Crystal, ’Shadow Space’ had evolved into ’Cage of Shadow,’ possessing stronger sealing and devouring abilities.

The Medicinal Plant Gatherer’s original plan was to use the Cage of Shadow to imprison Gusha’s incarnation. Yet, he hadn’t anticipated Gusha being so fierce, managing to somewhat force open an entrance from the Cage of Shadow and escape.

Fortunately, after years of devouring, the Shadow Fur Ball had almost merged with this piece of the serpent’s shadow. Unless Gusha could move fast enough to shake off its own shadow, it would not be able to truly escape the Shadow Fur Ball’s restraints.

"Didn’t overfeed it, did you?" Mu You asked, turning to the Medicinal Plant Gatherer.

After four thousand years of cultivation, it was not surprising for the Shadow Fur Ball to reach level thirty. Mu You was worried about a repetition of the incident with the Undead Association.

Back then, the person behind the Undead Association lost control after overfeeding the Shadow Fur Ball’s level, leading to the Shadow God turning the tables on the master.

"It’s still manageable; after all, it no longer possesses the God Soul Crystal. We can still control it for now, but it seems to have started developing some self awareness gradually. So, it would be best to find the remains of the Shadow God as soon as possible and completely subdue it," said the Medicinal Plant Gatherer.

Mu You nodded in agreement, indeed it was time to eliminate this potential threat.

"Is now really the time to discuss this..." Lamp God looked incredulously at the two.

At this moment in the sky, the two giant beasts were still engaged in intense struggle. Gusha struggled powerfully, easily dragging the shadow ball behind it everywhere, yet no matter how far it roamed, it could never break free from the range of the light. As soon as it approached the edge of the light barrier, the shadow ball seemed to be nailed in place, motionless. The boundary between light and dark appeared as an invisible wall, completely cutting off Gusha’s escape route.

Countless Dark Cave Beasts were brought down by their struggle, crashing to their deaths below, and the ground was soon covered with a thick layer of pitch-black dust.

After struggling for several minutes, whether it realized the futility or not, Gusha suddenly turned and charged downward.

"Be careful, this thing is probably at the end of its tether!" Lamp God hurriedly warned.

As he spoke, Gusha was already rapidly descending, but its target wasn’t its own body; instead, it headed straight for Mu You, or more precisely, for his right hand.

"It’s aiming for the Kirin Arm!" Lamp God exclaimed in shock.

As long as this incarnation of Gusha could escape, regain a certain level of strength, and return to pull out the Seal Spear, that was its original plan.

However, with its jailbreak exposed and the way blocked, everyone obviously wouldn’t give it a chance to grow. With nowhere to go, the Kirin Arm became its only hope.

As long as it could snatch the Kirin Arm from Mu You, even in its current state, it could easily lift the Holy Spear and remove the seal.

This incarnation was undoubtedly the weakest state Gusha had ever been in. They might still manage to fight it, but if Gusha’s true form were unsealed, it would be all over; Gusha had the power to instantly kill everyone present!

"Stop it quickly!" Lamp God shouted.

No reminder was needed, as Mu You and the Medicinal Plant Gatherer had already initiated their attack, throwing out the most convenient magic at hand.

The Bone Dragon and the Scorplion also attacked simultaneously, with the Bone Dragon spraying a cloud of poison and wrapping itself around Gusha, while the Scorplion summoned several Wild Wind Tornados.

Nevertheless, all their attacks failed. The Bone Dragon’s poison and the Scorplion’s tornados were effortlessly blocked by Gusha’s scales, and the magic from Mu You and the Medicinal Plant Gatherer vanished in midair without even reaching their target.

In the end, it was the Bone Dragon entangling its body around Gusha that slowed its approach.

"Don’t use magic, it’s useless! Gusha’s scales have extremely high defensive power; only Divine Arts can harm it, and it has to be a powerful one to break its defense!" Lamp God advised.

Mu You felt helpless upon hearing this. He too wished to use Divine Arts, but sadly, the Order wasn’t known for its offensive capabilities. Of all the Divine Arts he mastered, the strongest was Order Judgement, but Order Judgement required a full fifty layers of Order’s Lock; where would he find the time to layer up now?

With Divine Arts unusable under the circumstances, there seemed to be only one thing that could make a difference.

"The Wind Burial Cannon?"

"The Wind Burial Cannon, huh... It should work." Lamp God pondered for a second and nodded.

The Wind Burial Cannon was an Ultimate Move inherent to the Kirin Arm. The Wind Kirin, as a Divine Beast known for its cutting ability, theoretically had no trouble slicing through the serpent’s scales.

Of course, that was provided it could hit its mark.
