Chapter 1057: Chapter 488: Why Don’t You Sacrifice Your Looks a Bit_2
[The surrounding fairies and pedestrians all looked at you with extreme envy.]
["How nice, to gain Her Majesty the Queen’s favor on the very first day..."]
["Truly the child of prophecy."]
["Maybe you’ll even get to attend Her Majesty’s bed tonight..."]
"???"
Fuya was so grossed out she got goosebumps all over. Probably because she’d been watching too much TV lately, she now blurted out a traditional expletive in perfect articulation, "Holy shit, is everyone in this city sick in the head?"
Mu You, standing beside her, felt embarrassed. Just a minute ago he had been saying everyone in the city was nice, and now her opinion had changed so fast.
Fuya had no time for Mu You’s gaze; she was once again in a state of full concentration, controlling her game character to run away.
And this time it was a real escape! Getting caught before just meant dying once and losing a life, but getting caught now would be terrible, maybe even losing her chastity.
[The army by the Queen’s side was closing in on you, layer by layer.]
[As you fought and retreated, you unleashed Fire Magic at your pursuers without any politeness, but it was easily caught by the guards’ protective shields. After you counterattacked, the number of fairies and humans chasing you grew more and more...]
"Trouble..."
Fuya’s face tensed up, having tried to break out before and never succeeding, and now, with even more pursuers, escape seemed like a fool’s dream.
Luckily, she still had one final move: logging off!
If things got too tough, she’d just log off and hide. Just hiding for five days would naturally result in her being expelled by the spatial rules. The only worry was how long her offline character would remain before disappearing; if it stayed for a long while, her uncontrolled game character would surely be...
Just as Fuya was pondering whether or not to quit the game, new text suddenly popped up in front of her.
[An ear-splitting Dragon Roar suddenly sounded from high above.]
[You and the pursuers instinctively stopped and looked up, only to see the silhouette of a purple dragon diving down from the sky, its wings spread wide, blocking the sun.]
[The dragon flapped its wings, causing gales of wind as it landed atop the city wall, roaring into the sky. Its natural dragon aura made ordinary people and fairies around shiver uncontrollably.]
[After the roar, the twin-headed dragon surveyed the crowd, then lowered its heads. You saw a fairy with blue hair and blue wings, wearing a light veil over her face, standing on one of the dragon’s heads.]
[The moment the blue-haired fairy appeared, you heard a series of fearful gasps around you, with names like ’Devil’s Messenger,’ ’Executioner,’ ’Fallen Blue Fairy’ overlapping one another.]
["By the command of the Lord of Calamity, I have come to retrieve the Savior," the fairy said in a cold voice that brooked no refusal.]
["My Little Lanlan, you used to be my sweet little Angel. After being with that guy for so long, have you turned into a poker face too?" Her Majesty the Queen’s voice rose from the crowd.]
["I am merely following orders," the fairy responded.]
["You can take her, but only if you agree to stay by my side in her place," the Queen stipulated.]
[The fairy responded to the Queen’s demand with silence.]
[Suddenly, the giant dragon roared again, a sound that shook the heavens, and both of its heads opened wide, spewing Dragon Breath and frost, instantly covering the scene in a mix of ice and fire.]
[The ground erupted in chaos, with residents screaming and running in all directions, while the Queen’s army quickly surrounded the dragon, launching a counterattack...]
"How’s it going?" Mu You noticed that Fuya’s expression had eased a bit and quickly inquired. He was very curious about her situation; it seemed there had been a rather strange twist of events.
"I’m not sure; they seem to be fighting each other now... over me. Anyway, I took the chance to flee the city during the chaos..."
Fuya grumbled unhappily and then turned to Mu You, "No, this isn’t right, everyone here is too weird. Where are you? I’m coming to you."
"Why are you coming to me? This place is desolate, not a soul in sight for half a day. You’re better off staying where there are more people, ideally for gathering intel," Mu You said. "Don’t forget, we didn’t come here for a vacation."
Mu You, of course, had already told Fuya about the purpose of their trip to Bitter Garden: within five days, they must find the real ruler of Bitter Garden, or get control of Sky City, and bring Sky City back to the Star Spirit World.
"..."
Fuya was hesitant. Logically, she understood, and at first, she thought the mission wouldn’t be difficult, but who would have guessed this bizarre place would have a Brothel’s Kingdom...
If she got caught by these people again... Fuya could hardly bear to imagine it.
"Need some Lucky Dust?" Mu You asked at that moment.
"Lucky Dust?"
"It’s fairy pollen; it can conceal our foreign aura..." Mu You explained the purpose of the Lucky Dust.
"They have such a good thing and you’re telling me now? Give it here quick!" Fuya brightened up after hearing. No wonder she had been so easily identified as a foreigner; it was the scent. So next, she just needed to dab on some dust and disguise herself a bit, and she should be able to blend in with the locals smoothly.
Mu You shared half a bottle of Lucky Dust in the game and handed it over to Fuya.
He didn’t have much of the stuff to begin with; divided between four people, it ran out quickly.
Fortunately, they were in Fairy Country, where nearly anything could be scarce, but certainly not Lucky Dust.
After arranging things for Fuya, Mu You returned to his own game, opened the panel, and summoned three avatars, switching his view to each in turn to check on their situations.
