Chapter 691: Chapter 360: Reaping Cannon - Terrax Stone Descending from the Sky_2
However, the face of the A-level Life Form next to her turned pale, trembling as she said, "The Dark Matter Splitting Hammer!? "
The Star Destroyer Cannon is gone?
Diwusi furrowed her brows tightly, strands of yellow symbols surged, and in her eyes, a faintly distorted clock-like pattern emerged, reversing continuously.
"Can’t... see..." Diwusi muttered under her breath, "Spatial collapse leading to localized temporal breakdown... troublesome..."
"Done for, done for, Duke Bloodthorn..." Not far away, the A-level Life Form trembled as if plunged into an icehouse.
...
Meanwhile, in another Dimension World, the area was desolate, not composed of purely singular Elements.
This Dimension World was a prototype of a multi-dimensional realm, with the potential to become a special Dimension resembling the Main Universe environment.
"Why hasn’t he arrived yet..." Jaint frowned slightly, looking irritated and restless.
"It’s been less than a day, be patient." Diaz said indifferently.
Prince Costat remained expressionless as Jaint pondered aloud, "Your Highness, should we hold back when we make our move later?"
"Hold back?" Diaz frowned, "Are we supposed to hold back when ambushing? Even if they’re not a designated foe, they’re certainly not a friend."
"Azure Dragon has considerable value." Prince Costat said in an indifferent tone, "His origins, his methods, and even the intelligence he controls are extremely significant."
"Intelligence he controls?" Jaint asked, puzzled.
Costat said gravely, "Satoru has reported some information, combined with what we’ve already pieced together, it’s confirmed: there truly exists a secret organization conspiring to undermine the Empire’s interests."
Their reactions were calm; both had heard similar things before, and Jaint even scoffed, "A bunch of delusional fools. There are no less than eight or nine such organizations throughout the Empire’s history."
"Even the most glorious ’Old Days’? Didn’t they still collapse? The Holy Mother Church, which spun webs across the entire Empire like a spider, didn’t they eventually flee disgracefully?"
"Even the Holy Revolution Army didn’t dare to touch the Empire’s territory, that organization is nothing more than a clown."
"This time is different." Prince Costat glanced at both of them meaningfully, his eyes deep and piercing, sending chills down their spines.
"This time, internal members of the Empire are involved, and they’re high-ranking. It’s already confirmed that they’re not simply trying to exploit the other side to achieve certain goals — they genuinely want to dismantle the Empire."
Both Jaint and Diaz felt their hearts leap in shock; they hadn’t known this information.
Jaint said gravely, "For someone to be so despicable as to dismantle the Empire, what could they possibly gain?"
As a member of the Royal Family, Jaint harbored deep attachment to the Empire, as many in the Royal Family did — believing the Empire belonged to them.
Diaz mused, "Do you suspect Azure Dragon to be part of that secret organization?"
"Someone with an untraceable background, ever-evolving methods, and perpetually shrouded in mystery—he certainly fits the profile." Prince Costat replied, but then added, "However, if he really were sent by them, his identity and background should be meticulously crafted."
"Once he’s caught, we’ll naturally understand." Jaint said coldly.
Diaz sighed inwardly; although these two spoke grandly, they had clearly already pegged Azure Dragon as a hypothetical enemy — using the excuse to exclude Nicholas.
Just as he thought this, Prince Costat’s expression shifted slightly. He raised his wrist to reveal his intelligent bracelet-terminal, which was vibrating ceaselessly and flashing red.
"Red Alert?" Costat frowned, quickly answering it. On the screen that popped up, a Life Form dressed in an officer’s uniform looked pale-faced and fearful: "P-Prince... Your Highness..."
His throat bobbed nervously, trembling with dread, as Jaint prepared to scold him, Diaz furrowed his brow.
"...The Empire Station was just attacked by unknown assailants, and the losses are catastrophic."
"What!?"
Prince Costat’s pupils shrank abruptly, as an unimaginable aura burst forth from his body.
The entire dimension seemed destabilized, the ground caved in, roars echoed, the void twisted, and even the screen fizzled with interference.
Diaz grew increasingly unsettled and asked directly, "Where is Nicholas?"
"D-Duke Nicholas and Lord Albert... their whereabouts are currently unknown."
"Unknown whereabouts!?" Diaz’s heart sank to the pits.
"Who were the attackers?" Jaint pressed further, "What level of strength?"
"Specific details are still being investigated. The identity of the attackers remains unclear. Additionally..." He hesitated, saying, "The Dark Matter Splitting Hammer... has disappeared."
"Disappeared? What do you mean by disappeared?" Jaint stared coldly at him.
The officer lowered his head, "It vanished into thin air. The combat area was engulfed in a void storm at the time, and no one knows precisely what transpired."
"Luring the tiger away from the mountain..." Prince Costat muttered, his gaze deepening.
"You’re saying Azure Dragon did this?" Jaint’s expression trembled slightly.
Prince Costat spoke in a chilling tone, "It’s hard to say. How could he have known Nicholas would stay behind?"
Both Jaint and Diaz felt a frigid wave sweep over them, falling silent.
"Let’s head back for now; nothing is likely to be accomplished here." Prince Costat said, his expression neutral as warships hidden across the fields began converging rapidly.
Buzz—
Just as Prince Costat was about to step into the shuttle, he suddenly looked up, his eyes flickering.
The space rippled, and a figure abruptly broke through, radiating an intimidating aura.
"Traversing the dimensional barrier with only flesh?" Prince Costat’s eyes lit sharply.
...
At the same time, Li Ming was tirelessly moving through Dimension Worlds, pulling targets without pause.
After more than an hour and traversing over a dozen Dimension Worlds, he finally stopped.
Throwing Albert and Nicholas out of the Tank Guard.
Albert’s body was still convulsing slightly, but his life signals were minimal.
The absence of a head had a substantial impact, but during the pull, Li Ming had already absorbed all the Genetic Essence from his body.
Nicholas, however, remained resilient—not merely due to his advanced developmental stage surpassing Albert, but because the presence of his head autonomously mobilized cellular energy to sustain life and even repair.
The single eye locked onto the Mecha before him. The other party had only restrained him without further action.
"Your... audacity is remarkable, luring the tiger away from the mountain and daring to attack the Empire Station!" Nicholas rasped, his tone emboldened.
Considering the Mecha hadn’t killed him outright, there was bound to be some other intention—or perhaps dread toward the Star Abyss Empire, unwilling to go through with his death.
Thus, he waited patiently for the other party to speak first.
The imperial elite’s noble politician facade came to life.
Yet surprisingly, after a long silence, the Mecha finally emitted a sound.
"It’s just a son who died; why chase me relentlessly over such a trivial matter."
It wasn’t an intentional provocation. To these great Empire nobles, was the death of a son truly that precious?
"You... took my possession—something from the Ascender Civilization Relics," Nicholas’ voice gritted, "And, who told you Empire nobles don’t care about their sons."
"Uh..." Li Ming paused, shrugging, "Alright, my mistake."
Nicholas glared at him fiercely, then abruptly sank into frustration, "I understand now. Release me, and I won’t chase after you relentlessly."
"What did you understand?" Li Ming was slightly bewildered, "Forgive and forget? You actually think I’d let you go?"
"Otherwise, why bring me here?" Nicholas countered.
Li Ming sighed softly, "Why does everyone always misunderstand."
Nicholas sensed trouble, his vision went dark, and his pupils constricted as a metal arm descended fiercely. The ice-crystal Dimension began to quake, massive fractures spreading outward.
Li Ming shook his head, a resigned expression flashing as both Adas and Nicholas clung to the strange notion, "If this person spares me, they must have some strategic agenda," — their rationale stemmed logically enough from his need to gradually absorb the Genetic Essence.
After disposing of their corpses, he surveyed the surroundings and prepared to traverse dimensions once more.
