This Is My Primitive Tribe
Chapter 148 - 119: You call yourselves the Crow Tribe?

Chapter 148: Chapter 119: You call yourselves the Crow Tribe?

After leaving the Vine Tribe, the Crow Tribe traveled a stretch toward the northwest and found the environment dry and desolate, so they turned southwest instead.

The Crow Tribe was utterly uninterested in the Western Wilderness; they hoped to occupy a resource-rich territory in the Southern Wilderness and continue to strengthen their tribe.

Now, the Crow Tribe numbers over three thousand, and once their population exceeds five thousand, they will become a medium-sized tribe rather than a small one.

Meanwhile, after their population surpasses five thousand, because of the significant increase in the Power of Faith, that giant crow also has the opportunity to break through and become a medium-sized tribe’s Totem God.

This is the dream of the Crow Tribe.

As for becoming a major tribe with a population exceeding ten thousand, that dream is too distant, and they haven’t dared to ponder it yet.

When they walked southwestward for two days, suddenly the scouting crows returned to report that they had found people from another tribe ahead.

The Crow Tribe leader licked his lips and said, "Finally encountered another tribe. Go investigate, see if this tribe is large or small, and how many people they have."

"Yes!"

From the Crow Tribe, more than a dozen Warriors responsible for reconnaissance left the group and followed several large crows ahead.

When they reached the forest ahead, the crows spotted a large number of jackals, as well as warriors from the Jackal Tribe.

This forest was chosen by the Jackal Tribe after careful selection as their place of residence.

They will build houses in this forest and settle here for some years.

If the resources near this forest can no longer meet their needs in the future, they will migrate elsewhere.

Upon reaching the edge of the forest, the Crow Tribe warriors dared not advance further and could only climb trees to observe.

However, those large crows could utilize their flying advantage and continue to explore within the forest.

"Caw caw caw..."

Several crows flew into the forest, memorizing the ground situation. Upon returning, they could use a special communication method to relay the observed situation to the Crow Tribe’s Witch.

However, shortly after these crows flew into the forest, they encountered the Jackal Tribe leader.

The Jackal Tribe leader was in a simple hut, discussing life with the women in the tribe, and upon hearing the cawing of crows, immediately thought of that kid who rode the giant eagle, his anger surging instantly.

He pushed the woman aside, grabbed a primitive bow, and stormed outside, immediately spotting the crows flying overhead.

"I hate crows!"

The Jackal Tribe leader drew his bow, nocked an arrow, and shot into one of the large crows with a "whoosh."

As the tribe leader, his combat capability was strong, and so was his archery.

A cry rang out from one of the large crows in flight as its abdomen was pierced by the arrow, flapping its wings as it fell to the ground.

The remaining crows saw this and fled in panic.

The Jackal God, sleeping in the center of the tribe, was awoken by the cries of these large crows and instantly recalled that person who claimed to be a "Crow Tribe member," becoming enraged.

"Roar!"

The Jackal God transformed into a shadow, leaping up and swiftly biting a large crow to death, then landing on the ground and resentfully devouring it.

The remaining large crows also fell one after another under the concentrated arrow fire from the Jackal Tribe warriors; not a single one escaped.

The Jackal Tribe leader ordered, "Pluck the feathers from these crows and roast them; eat the meat!"

After speaking, the Jackal Tribe leader felt a sense of relief, turned around, and returned to the hut to continue discussing the essence of life with the tribe’s women.

The Jackal Tribe warriors immediately ran over, picked up the crows that had been shot, roughly and quickly plucked their feathers, skewered them on sticks, and roasted them over a fire.

Actually, crow meat is not tasty and worse than the meat of other birds.

But the Jackal Tribe people harbored a deep grudge against that kid who rode the giant eagle, and thus, taking revenge on the crows had a satisfying feel, making them think that the crow meat was fragrant.

Outside the forest, the Crow Tribe’s scouting warriors waited for a long time, neither seeing the large crows return nor hearing their cries of distress.

They immediately understood that those scouting crows were likely shot by people from this unfamiliar tribe.

"Quickly report back to the Witch and the leader!"

The scouting warriors ran back quickly in anger.

To the Crow Tribe members, the large crows are sacred and intimate hunting and fighting partners. How could they not be angry that they were shot?

Soon after, the Crow Tribe leader and Witch both learned of the news that the scouting crows were shot.

Previously, at the Vine Tribe, they had already lost over a hundred large crows, and held a grudge about it.

Now, some more were shot, enraging the Crow Tribe people instantly.

"Let me see which small tribe has the courage of a giant-toothed tiger to dare kill our Divine Crows!"

"Let’s go, slaughter them!"

Over a thousand warriors from the Crow Tribe followed the leader for revenge, along with the Crow God and those large crows.

The Crow God, having been lashed by the Divine Vine, was still furious, and seeing this situation, could not stay unmoved.

Soon, over a thousand Crow Tribe warriors and a thick black mass of large crows quickly charged toward the forest where the Jackal Tribe resided.

Such a large formation couldn’t possibly escape the notice of the Jackal Tribe.

"Howl!"

The Jackal God, sensing powerful auras approaching, let out a howl skyward.

In an instant, the whole Jackal Tribe, all warriors grabbed their weapons and gathered mounted on tall jackals, ready to face the enemy.

"Caw caw caw..."

The Crow God flew at the front, just in time to see the Jackal God coming out of the forest.

Both sides sensed each other’s overwhelming Divine Power and hesitated to act immediately.

Then, the Jackal Tribe leader charged out and shouted towards the Crow Tribe’s side: "Which tribe are you, daring to trespass on the territory of our Jackal Tribe?"

The Crow Tribe leader stepped forward and shouted, "We are the Crow Tribe..."

The Crow Tribe leader hadn’t finished his sentence when the Jackal Tribe leader, upon hearing "Crow Tribe," instantly reached the pinnacle of anger.

"So you’re the Crow Tribe, huh? Attack!"

The Jackal Tribe leader yelled loudly and charged forward on his tall jackal; his thousand jackal cavalry simultaneously launched their assault.

The Crow Tribe leader was dumbfounded; weren’t they supposed to be the ones angry?

But since the other side had already charged, they couldn’t back down.

The Crow Tribe leader led over a thousand warriors, along with countless large crows and charged forward, sparking a fierce battle.

Technically, the Jackal Tribe’s cavalry should hold a significant advantage against the Crow Tribe’s infantry.

However, the Crow Tribe wasn’t just ground warriors; they had numerous large crows as well.

These ferocious crows continually attacked from above, preventing the jackal cavalry from executing effective charges, and forcing them to fight back both against the crows overhead and the Crow Tribe warriors attacking from the front.

The Jackal God and Crow God also fought fiercely; both sides had similar strength, and the Jackal God held a significant grudge against the "Crow Tribe," making the fight extremely intense.

Yet neither side realized that the one who stirred the enmity and fury between them was actually Jiang Xuan, the leader of the Vine Tribe.
