Nathan didn’t respond to her, but Raine didn’t feel disheartened at the seemingly cold gesture. She was fully aware of her mate’s emotions right now, and the mate bond was working again, which meant that he was no longer shutting her off from his emotions. As such, she also did the same.

Nathan tilted his head as he stared at her. His eyes were burning as they swept up and down through her messy hair. It was as if he was still not satisfied with his earlier feast.

"Not enough then..." she breathed out with a smile.

Raine raised her head to look at him. As she expected, his orbs were still burning with passion, and he moved with purpose as Raine let him do his thing. "I’ve missed you so much, my sweet vixen," Nathan whispered as he gave her head soft kisses. He kept his silence a while ago. He didn’t know what to say. He had mixed emotions at the moment, and it felt like not saying a thing was the best option.

As he held his mate in his arms, he was glad that his memories about Raine were finally back. However, he still had his fears as well...

Looking back, Raine erased his memories because her presence could affect his rational thinking and decision-making. He was clearly thinking selfishly whenever Raine was involved, and it was obviously not for the best. For him, nothing else mattered. Only Raine alone was his priority...

Still, he didn’t want to act like that again, leaving Raine with no choice but to erase his memories just to keep him from acting like a loose cannon. He was already lucky that the Voyager’s Watch was in his possession within his body at the time, but what if it wasn’t? He would be left to live his life without any of those precious memories he had with his mate.

"I’ll try my best not to let you down this time around, my sweet vixen," Nathan whispered into her ear as he lovingly cuddled his mate. He swore to protect Raine with all his might, and he would never have to make her go through the choice of erasing his memories ever again.

He raised an eyebrow as he heard Raine grumble in her sleep, her body suddenly moving as her soft body grazed against his. Nathan’s body reacted at her slightest touch. He was simply too insatiable around her, especially now that she was back in his arms.

Nathan ended up kissing her in her sleep. Starting from her lips all the way down to the rest of her body, he relished her body’s slightest twitches as he let out a small breath. The night was young, and he was far from being satisfied with his feast.
