Chapter 194: Peace and order

In the end, no one in the clan would be allowed to lay a hand on them, and they would always remain a part of the group. However, they would not be involved in the running of the clan. Xander must also be humbled to help the clan in cases when crisis arises, and even lend a helping hand in running it. If ever such a need arises, he should not abandon his mother’s clan completely.

Everyone there agreed to such arrangements, and even Xander agreed at the last part of it. He knew that his family and future generations were now safe forever, rather safer than they ever were before.

Chad bore witness to it all, and as promised, he further agreed that he would find the rightful heir of the Moon Clan to end the tyrant ruling of King Marcus. The rightful heir should be Ester’s grandson, and he already had a lead on him. Ester’s grandson was alive, but who he was and where he could be was yet to be found.

While all those matters were being settled in the courtroom, Tyrone fearlessly barged inside and introduced himself as the right-hand man of Princess Raine. The Council should know that none of these events would’ve become possible if not for Raine.

"Our princess has rescued Mr. Xander’s wife, and she is now in the safe custody of the military under General Zach. Our Princess wanted to inform the great councils that we are very sorry for all the shame that Prince Yun had brought to the Mirage." Tyrone solicited. "She hereby promises to correct every wrongdoing within the clan before King Marcus wakes up from his coma. We have already wiped out all of Yun’s trusted men in connection to all the crimes he had committed. Please allow me to relay a proposition from our Princess to ensure Xander Yang’s lineage will be safe."

He let out a sigh as he said his piece, looking patiently at the people inside the room. Raine had already foretold Xander’s view of the throne.

Before everyone, Tyrone then went on and explained Princess Raine’s proposition to salvage the current situation. The princess stated that her father wasn’t aware of Yun’s movements since he was in a coma and that everything about the trial that happened would be fully confidential and not go further than the people currently within the courtroom.

She would then make sure that the trial wouldn’t reach the King’s knowledge after he woke up. To maintain peace and prevent unnecessary war between the clans, the princess would make it look like Yun, along with all of his men, had died in a tragic battle with the military of Country D. She would spin a story that they attacked because Yun was also responsible for the various crimes and a few terrorist attacks in said country.

The trial and his final sentence should then be concealed henceforth. Xander found it to be a good plan, so he immediately agreed. However, the final decision would still come from the councils.

"Why would we trust your words? The princess should face us herself in the first place! It’s a disgrace that she is not showing herself before anyone! Simply sending her right-hand man here... How brazen could she be?" one of the councils admonished after hearing of Tyrone’s plan. None of them had ever met Raine in person, after all. And with Raine being the only daughter of Marcus, it left a bad taste in their mouth regarding such opinions.

It was then that Ester, King Marcus’s sister known to all, entered the room and said, "I will stake my life on this plan. Raine has her reasons for limiting her physical presence at the moment, so I humbly apologize on her behalf before the Council."

She knew Raine well enough. Her niece could be stubborn at times, and the people might largely misunderstand her ways, but she trusted Raine, even if Marcus was the one who raised and taught her. Despite everything, Raine was unlike her father, and she could feel the girl’s sincerity in helping out in her own special way.

"Isn’t this enough? I represent the Moon Clan at this point as one of the rightful heiresses to lead the group," Ester challenged. Such a declaration of position would lend weight to her words, seeing as she was also one of the few remaining rightful heirs to the throne.

"Marcus is still in a coma but will soon wake up according to his doctors. We are all aware of my brother’s temperament, and we all know that he won’t be happy with how his brother died. Yun was the only one he trusted, after all. As such, we must ensure that peace prevails in the Mirage. I agree with what Princess Raine had proposed. This is the best solution at the moment, and we must make a decision on this as soon as possible," she added after careful thought.

Everyone heaved a long sigh before casting a vote among the council. In the end, Princess Raine’s plan was approved to retain the peace and order amongst the clans and the civilians that got involved, as well as for Xander and his family. All who have witnessed everything inside the courtroom then signed a contract entailing that should any detail or information leak out about anything that happened in that courtroom that day, then it would be answerable with their life.

Tyrone had a soft smile on his face as he looked at the old woman defending Raine. Facing her direction, he slightly bowed, showing her respect when her eyes darted on him.

After everything was cleared and finished, Tyrone claimed Yun’s lifeless body so that they could proceed to put into action what had been agreed upon. They had to set the stage that Yun got killed with his men during the supposed fight between the military of Country D and V in his hideout, who were all seeking justice for his terrorist attacks on both sovereign states.
