The Tycoon Has A Secret Crush On Me -

Chapter 932: Chapter 929: Remind Her
Was it just a coincidence that Huo’s mother called her back for dinner, or was she using Ranran as a shield?
Ye Ranran gave One a quick glance, surreptitiously signaling with her eyes.
"Call her ’Mom,’" Huo’s father led Xia Yi to Huo’s mother.
"Mom," Xia Yi said in a tiny voice.
"I don’t deserve your ’Mom,’" Huo’s mother sneered, "What is it now? Aren’t you afraid I have ulterior motives?"
"You wouldn’t be thinking of going back on your word, would you?" Huo’s father’s face darkened.
"What now? You’re allowed to regret and I’m not?"
Huo’s father was about to scold her when Ye Ranran quickly interjected, "Mom, hold back a little, Dad, don’t blame Mom. You did go too far with what you said, and you haven’t even apologized to her yet."
Huo’s father didn’t speak, but his expression softened considerably. It took him about three minutes to finally say, "I shouldn’t have said what I did last time. No matter what, we’ve been husband and wife for over twenty years, and I should trust you."
Huo’s mother didn’t respond, and it was unclear whether she accepted his apology or not.
Ye Ranran tugged at her sleeve.
"Once you enter the Huo Family’s door, you’re part of the Huo Family. Those unrelated people should not be seen again. Accomplish that, and then he can call me ’Mom’ again," Huo’s mother said, looking at Xia Yi, indicating that Xia Yi was meant to answer.
Xia Yi glanced at Huo’s father and only after receiving a nod did he agree, "I understand."
"Have you eaten?" Huo’s mother asked stiffly.
Her husband’s illegitimate child was right in front of her, and there was nothing she could do about it. That was the most frustrating feeling.
"I have," Xia Yi responded quietly.
Huo’s mother asked no further.
"Let’s go, I’ll show you to your room," Huo’s father said as he led him upstairs.
As they ascended the stairs, Xia Yi gave Huo’s mother a resentful glance.
His mother told him that all of it was originally hers, that Huo’s mother had stolen her belongings.
Because Huo’s father loved her.
If not for Huo’s mother, it would have been his mother who married Huo’s father.
Ye Ranran lifted her eyelids and met Xia Yi’s gaze unexpectedly. Xia Yi quickly lowered his head.
Exactly, Ye Ranran smirked.
No mistress doesn’t wish to rise to the top, just like no one doesn’t love money.
Huo’s father arranged a sunny room for Xia Yi on the third floor.
Only one room was left on the second floor, and it was the one shaded from the sun, with no sunlight throughout the year.
After sitting with Xia Yi for a while upstairs, Huo’s father came down, and Xia Yi did not follow.
"He’s still a child. If you hold any resentment, I hope you direct it at me and not take it out on a child," Huo’s father said to Huo’s mother.
The anger Huo’s mother had just suppressed flared up again, "What do you mean by that? Are you saying I would do something to him?"
"It’s just a reminder, why are you so worked up?" Huo’s father was displeased.
"Isn’t it normal for a father to be concerned about his child?"
"What about my children? Aren’t they also your children? Why don’t you worry about them as well?" Huo’s mother challenged.
"Why does it always have to be about something else? Forget it, just remember what I said. I have things to do, I’m leaving," Huo’s father strode out.
Watching his retreating figure, Ye Ranran was deep in thought.
"This is infuriating," Huo’s mother slammed down her chopsticks.
"Ranran, what are you thinking about?" Seeing her in a daze, Huo’s mother couldn’t help but ask.
She hadn’t been upset by something, had she?
