Chapter 909: Chapter 906: Really Don’t Understand?
But who could have known what happened next?
Indeed, appearances can be deceiving.
"What about your ’Big Brother Lin’? Are you so sure he won’t change his mind or have an affair?" Ah Chuan countered.
Luo Xuan couldn’t respond; her face turned red, and after a while, she defensively said, "Well, at least from what I can tell, he’s better than yours."
While they were unable to come to a conclusion, Luo Qi was strolling through the market with Lin Yan.
Lin Yan was a humorous person. Being with him made Luo Qi very happy.
There would be no burdens, and she could relax completely.
"What about the thing I asked you to consider? How’s that going?" Lin Yan asked casually.
"Huh?" Luo Qi looked puzzled. "What thing?"
"About considering me. How’s that going?" Lin Yan asked again, his patience and warm tone putting no pressure on Luo Qi.
"I need to think it over more. I’ve been seriously considering it; it’s just that recently, I don’t want to start a relationship so quickly. You know what I’ve been through. I want some peace," Luo Qi said seriously.
"All right, just let me know when you’ve made a decision," Lin Yan replied without rushing her.
Luo Qi appreciated this about Lin Yan the most – he wasn’t pushy or impatient, he showed her ample respect.
After wandering around the market and buying some groceries, they headed back.
"Shoes." As they entered, Lin Yan naturally handed Luo Qi her slippers.
"Thank you." Luo Qi smiled as she changed shoes.
Watching their actions, which resembled those of an old married couple, Ah Chuan’s face grew dark, yet he couldn’t lash out.
Luo Xuan watched with satisfaction as Ah Chuan’s expression changed.
The meal that followed was particularly distasteful for Ah Chuan.
He didn’t know what Lin Yan had said to Luo Qi, but she began to distance herself from him, intentionally or not.
After the meal, he wanted to take the opportunity to probe Luo Qi’s feelings, but Lin Yan didn’t give him the chance.
He clung to Luo Qi like glue, impossible to shake off.
Having no other choice, Ah Chuan took his leave, of course not forgetting to take Lin Yan with him.
If things had ended there, Luo Qi would not have been so troubled.
What bothered her was that the next day, Ah Chuan sent her a large bouquet of flowers, followed by two more, then three.
Eventually, the whole office was filled with fresh flowers.
Once again, she became the subject of her colleagues’ gossip, feeling as though everyone was talking about her behind her back as she walked through the company.
"Ranran, what do I do, what do I do?" Luo Qi asked pitifully.
After hearing all this, Ye Ranran couldn’t sleep either. Resting her hand under her head, she stared at the ceiling and said, "Do you really not know what to do, or are you just pretending not to know?"
The most direct and simplest way is to reject! But if that won’t work on Ah Chuan, why not just tell him he’s insane?
"Ranran, I’m being serious," Luo Qi stamped her foot.
Ye Ranran could almost imagine Luo Qi’s frustrated look and sighed, "Don’t you understand what I mean?"
Was she truly clueless, or was she just pretending not to know?
Luo Qi fell silent. Indeed, she understood what Ye Ranran meant, but did she really want to do it?
Ah Chuan’s career had just started; what would he do if his reputation were tarnished?
Would he be able to recover? Could she inadvertently destroy his dreams?
"You can’t bear to, can you?" In Luo Qi’s silence, Ye Ranran guessed her answer.
