Okay, Ye Ranran chided herself for overthinking. It wasn’t even the fifteenth yet, and she was already considering getting back to work.

"Carry on, I didn’t see anything," said Mother Huo, adding insult to injury as Ye Ranran wished she could just crawl into a hole and hide.

So embarrassing, Ye Ranran covered her face with her hands.

She also pretended to drop a line "I’m not talking to you anymore," but unfortunately, she really couldn’t bring herself to say it.

"Mom’s gone back in, no need to hide anymore," Jun Mochan said helplessly, and yet he couldn’t help but chuckle.

He did love seeing her blush, but he also wished she could be a little bolder, so he wouldn’t have to be mindful of time and place to be affectionate with her whenever he wanted.

With Huo Yi hospitalized and Xu Zi staying with him at the hospital, she was all alone at home. Why would she go back there, for whose sake? The answer was as clear as day.

At the end of the day, she still cared and couldn’t let go.

"What does Mom find inappropriate?" Ye Ranran asked in return.

Mother Huo couldn’t articulate a reason.

"Forget it, I haven’t stayed over in a long time. I’ll spend the night tonight," Ye Ranran suddenly said.

Mother Huo looked at her in surprise: "Why all of a sudden do you want to go back?"

"Are you saying you don’t welcome me back, Mom? That would make me very sad," Ye Ranran said, placing her hand on her heart dramatically.

Mother Huo was amused by her antics: "I had no idea you could be funny. Alright, I do feel lonely living by myself. You can keep me company."

"Okay, then. I’ll call my husband and we’ll go up to pack our things."

Ye Ranran, in her haste, bumped into the couch, and her footing became unsteady, causing her to fall toward Jun Mochan, who was sitting on the couch.

Jun Mochan caught her firmly: "Is this a case of falling into one’s arms?"

Ye Ranran tried to struggle free, but he held on tighter.

"Believe me, this is definitely a misunderstanding," Ye Ranran said seriously, with a stern expression, demonstrating she was not joking.

"It’s still a beautiful misunderstanding."

If he knew it was a misunderstanding, then why wasn’t he letting her go? Ye Ranran felt awkward.

"I just told Mom that we would stay over tonight. You’re coming back with me, right?" Ye Ranran, unable to move, simply chose a comfortable position and snuggled in Jun Mochan’s embrace.
