Chapter 808: Chapter 805: Afraid of Not Being Able to Escape

"Thank you, sis." Song Ze pushed the noodles forward happily and started eating voraciously.

"Eat slowly, no one’s competing with you." Ye Ranran couldn’t help but remind him when she saw how ravenously he was eating.

"Tasty," mumbled Song Ze indistinctly.

Ye Ranran smiled yet felt a bit sad—she wondered if he would remember any of these moments when he came to his senses.

If he remembered, would he feel happy or humiliated?

More likely, it would be somewhere in between.

Song Ze, much like Jun Mochan, belonged to the same type of people, both arrogantly unapproachable.

"Have something to eat," Huo Yi offered, bringing out two steamed buns.

Ye Ranran casually grabbed one, took a big bite, then urged Huo Yi, "Alright, hurry up and cook, I’m already very hungry."

"Okay, I’m on it right away, you’ll have a delicious meal soon," he assured her.

"By the way, where are those guys who were watching me?" Ye Ranran asked nonchalantly.

"Outside, Ranran, do you want me to invite them in?"

"No need, I just haven’t seen them around and was asking casually."

Huo Yi didn’t say anything more and walked back into the kitchen.

As Ye Ranran nibbled on the steamed bun, she admired the vase on the table.

The vase was filled with several plum blossoms, flourishing beautifully in this wintry season.

Yet, Ye Ranran was not in the mood to enjoy them; she directly took the flowers out.

Song Ze looked up from his bowl, about to say something when Ye Ranran made a shushing gesture to him.

Remembering Ye Ranran’s command, Song Ze immediately shut his mouth.

Ye Ranran picked up the vase and quietly walked towards the kitchen.

She had already observed that there were no cameras in the house, probably because Huo Yi wasn’t accustomed to having them.

Ye Ranran moved cautiously towards the kitchen, step by step, even though the thick carpeting muffled her steps; she was afraid of alerting Huo Yi.

"Is it ready?" Ye Ranran asked impatiently as she reached the kitchen door, leaning against its frame.

"It will be ready soon, just hang in there a bit longer... maybe half an hour..."

As Huo Yi turned his head, Ye Ranran took out the vase from behind her and hurled it forcefully at him.

As he fell, Ye Ranran turned and ran.

She grabbed the remaining steamed buns on the table, then pulled at Song Ze, who was still obliviously eating his noodles, "Stop eating, let’s go."

"Where are we going?" Song Ze asked, clueless.

Even now, he still didn’t grasp the concept of leaving.

"Anywhere is fine, just away from here," she said.

Ye Ranran wanted to search the villa for a phone, but she didn’t dare take the risk.

She was afraid it would be too late to escape.

As they stepped outside, a chill hit them. Ye Ranran looked hopefully at Song Ze, "Sis is not fast at running, would you carry sis on your back, please?"

"Of course," he replied.

Indeed, her decision was wise, and it wasn’t in vain that she had been kind to him during this time.

Ye Ranran climbed onto Song Ze’s back.

"Carry me as fast as you can away from here, until you can’t run anymore, then I’ll take over," Ye Ranran said in a seriously urgent tone.

"Okay," Song Ze had always been compliant to Ye Ranran.

In fact, he didn’t understand why he obeyed; he only knew that from the first moment he saw her, he felt an inexplicable fondness.

He wanted to stay by her side.

Song Ze ran with Ye Ranran on his back, the howling wind slashing against their faces, causing Ye Ranran’s delicate skin to crack slightly.
