Chapter 806: Chapter 803: Specializing in Sabotage

If all of this had come from Jun Mochan’s hands, Ye Ranran would surely have found it very romantic and been so moved that she couldn’t find her bearings.

But coming from someone else, all Ye Ran ran could give him were two words: "Boring!"

"Does Ranran not like it?" His intentions and feelings were laid out completely in front of her, yet receiving not a hint of response, he couldn’t help feeling dejected.

"I don’t like it, but I’m very happy," Ye Ranran added, quickly changing the subject.

Huo Yi suspected he was hearing things and, in disbelief, asked again, "Ranran, what did you just say? Could you repeat that?"

"I said I’m very happy." Ye Ranran’s eyes crinkled with a smile, her long eyelashes concealing her gaze, so Huo Yi didn’t see the coldness in her eyes.

"Really? Do you really like it?" Huo Yi rubbed his hands together, like an anxious young boy, wanting to hold her but not daring to make a move.

Ye Ranran nodded, "Yes, I like it very much."

"So the petals were hanging by a thread after all; I thought they really could float up."

Song Ze appeared from nowhere with a ladder, and as he stood at the top, clutching a handful of petals, he showed an especially innocent expression when Ye Ranran and Huo Yi looked his way.

That was the end of it, all romance, emotion, and intentions gone.

Yet, Ye Ranran was grateful for his untimely intervention, otherwise, she didn’t know what she would have done next.

Staying with Huo Yi, agreeing to him, was something she surely wouldn’t do; she could only temporarily stabilize him, to facilitate her future escape.

"Big sister, do you like this? Here, it’s for you." Perhaps sensing that Huo Yi’s gaze was too sinister, Song Ze ran down from the ladder and rushed to Ye Ranran with the petals in his hand.

Ye Ranran took the petals from his hands, her smile becoming even brighter, "Thank you."

Ye Ranran strived to cherish every bit of kindness from others, and as for the malice, she worked hard to let go.

In life, being happy is what matters; why shouldn’t she feel happy because of love, instead of dwelling on hate?

Seeing Ye Ranran smile, Song Ze also grinned widely, his inherent coldness vanishing in an instant, transforming from a high and lofty immortal to a mere mortal.

Ye Ranran watched his overly obvious smile in awe; she hadn’t known Song Ze for long, and their interactions were quite irregular.

The few times that they met were at official events, and privately, there was no personal interaction, save for the few times he had called her.

But Song Ze had always been cold, his voice sharp; if Jun Mochan was the warmest spring breeze, then Song Ze was the coldest chill of winter.

He was entirely aloof, his demeanor didn’t invite any irreverence.

And yet, that Song Ze was now smiling like a child in front of her.

"Big sister, why are you staring at me like that?" Perhaps Ye Ranran’s gaze was too peculiar, Song Ze eventually couldn’t keep smiling.

Ye Ranran slowly reached out and patted his shoulder, her eyes filled with kindness, "Because you’re being silly."

"I’m not silly, not silly at all," Song Ze protested, trying to defend himself.

It’s one thing for others to call her silly, but how could she say that about him?

His reaction made Ye Ranran laugh even more joyously, lightening the gloom in her heart.

Huo Yi stood by the side, his heart feeling slightly sour, but because he couldn’t bear to interrupt Ye Ranran’s laughter, he remained silent.
