"What does it matter if they like her or not? I am the one who likes your sister." Lin Yan was puzzled by the implications.

"Granted it’s you who likes my sister, but if your parents don’t approve of her, you’ll be stuck between them, a situation unpleasant regardless of the side you’re on. Even if you manage to overcome the pressure and marry my sister, she will face a lot of troubles, maybe even be harmed by your parents."

"Though it may sound harsh, I am merely speaking the truth. If you cannot guarantee my sister’s happiness, it’s better that you leave her be. Even if she ends up staying single, I won’t mind."
