Chapter 747: Chapter 744: Deep Love_1

In the streets, everything was adorned with red decorations, and festive music echoed from every shop.

The New Year atmosphere was getting stronger.

"Are you in a rush?" Ye Ranran suddenly asked.

"Want to go shopping?" Jun Mochan immediately guessed what Ye Ranran was thinking.

Ye Ranran nodded her head: "Mmm, I want to look around and buy some things."

She remembered that as a child, she loved the New Year because the whole family could gather together. However, after the consecutive deaths of her mother and grandfather, she had lost her fondness for the holiday.

Because no matter how many years passed, they would never return.

This year, with him, marked their first New Year together. For that, she found the spirit to stroll the streets she hadn’t been to in a long time.

"If Ranran wants to shop, how could I not accompany her?" Jun Mochan directed the car towards the supermarket.

"If you’re busy, we can do it some other day."

"I can always squeeze in some time, especially if it’s for accompanying my lady." Jun Mochan responded in a serious tone.

No matter how busy he was, as long as she asked, he would stay by her side.

"Sweet talker." Ye Ranran glared at him. Yet, instead of being intimidating, the bashful look in her eyes made it appear more like a coy reprimand.

"It’s not flattery, it’s true. As long as you want it, as long as I have it, I’ll give it to you."

Listening to his vow-like words, Ye Ranran’s gaze became solemn: "No matter what we do, as long as I can see you, know that you’re by my side and won’t leave, I’m good. You don’t have to be with me all the time or do something for me."

Her demands weren’t high, she just wanted him to be with her forever, whether in poverty or wealth.

"I didn’t know that Ranran loves me this much."

Originally, Jun Mochan just wanted to tease her, but to his surprise, Ye Ranran responded very seriously: "Of course, I love you. I love you very much."

What was once a declaration she couldn’t possibly make, she was now uttering effortlessly.

She was no longer shy, no longer hesitant, but instead bravely and happily expressed it.

She loved him so dearly.

Her love for him surpassed her own life.

"You remember, apart from you, there’s nobody else in my eyes. So please also remember the words you once said." She was serious, laying her heart bare.

She hoped that he would protect it and not wound it again.

Jun Mochan was slightly surprised to hear her serious confession that came out from his casual remark: "Ranran, you... "

Ye Ranran didn’t look at his eyes, that shone like morning stars: "As long as you know, you don’t have to say anything."

Even though she turned her face away, Jun Mochan could see the blush at the roots of her ears.

He reached out, lightly ruffling her hair beneath her hat: "Silly."

For the rest of the trip, neither spoke, yet the car was filled with a light warmth, everything is unsaid but understood.

As New Year approached, the supermarket was crowded with shoppers.

Jun Mochan escorted Ye Ranran through the crowd: "Tell me what you want, and I’ll get it for you."

"Umm." Ye Ranran glanced to her left and right, looking for goods that caught her eye.

Soon, her gaze settled on the fruits.

"Why don’t we buy some fruits to take home?"

"They’re not fresh. The fruits at home are delivered from the orchard every day. If there’s anything in particular you want to eat, just tell them."

"How about some snacks?"

"You can’t eat those." Jun Mochan rejected the idea without a second thought, as if it was his instinct.

Ye Ranran looked displeased: "Even if I can’t eat them, aren’t there other people who can?"
