It was Ah Chuan who called.

"Is there trouble at the company?" Ye Ranran asked before Ah Chuan could speak.

"No, there are just a few important documents that need your signature. Should I bring them over to you?"

Something in Ah Chuan’s voice seemed hoarse, as if he were suppressing something.

Ye Ranran had been gone for three days, and so had Luo Qi. Ah Chuan had a gut feeling that Ye Ranran must know where Luo Qi had gone.

He wanted to find her and get a clear answer.

"No need, have a secretary bring it over to me and call when they arrive!" Ye Ranran declared, making it clear she wouldn’t allow him to come to the Huo Family mansion.

"Madam..." when Ye Ranran was about to hang up, Ah Chuan with his hoarse voice asked, "Do you know where Xiao Qi went?"

"I don’t know!" Ye Ranran replied quickly without giving it a thought.

"You must know! Madam, please tell me where she went?" With her younger brother in trouble and her lack of resources, the only person who could help her was Ye Ranran.

Ah Chuan didn’t believe Ye Ranran’s immediate denial.

"Even if I do know, then what? Will you go after her? That would only increase her troubles!" Ye Ranran said in a softened voice, "If she wants, she will contact you."

"There’s no way, madam, you know that!" Ah Chuan exclaimed. How could Luo Qi possibly initiate contact with him?

She left without a word, not sharing her problems with him, and just disappeared like that.

Was he resentful? Of course, but his longing was greater.

"Then don’t bother her, let her go!"

Who will let him go then?

"Madam, can you put the president aside?" Ah Chuan retorted back.

How can she ask him to do something she can’t do herself?

"What else would she feel upon seeing you besides pain? If you truly love her, leave her alone. I have to go now." Ye Ranran massaged her temples.

"If you find it tiring, then don’t meddle." One sneered, seeing her tired face.

This was someone else’s problem, why should it concern her?

"Carry on!" With yet another interruption, Ye Ranran had decided to stop thinking about it further.

Upon returning home, Huo Yi could not find Ye Ranran in sight and asked a servant.

Knowing she was in her room, Huo Yi immediately made his way upstairs.

The servants found the relationship between the two more than a little strange. Huo Yi was paying too much attention to Ye Ranran.

This was not like a normal brother-in-law and sister-in-law relationship at all.

The door to Ye Ranran’s room was not fully shut, and Huo Yi, without reaching the doorway, could see the lively conversation inside.

Ye Ranran was sitting in a chair, focusing on her computer while occasionally glancing at One.

One was supporting himself on the chair, slightly bent over. It looked like he was almost hugging Ye Ranran.

Of course, Huo Yi knew about One; he was Jun Mochan’s man. But why was Ye Ranran so close to him?

Huo Yi’s gaze was just too noticeable, One had trouble ignoring it.

Turning his head, One met Huo Yi’s dark gaze.

When One did not speak, Ye Ranran gave him a puzzled look. Noticing his strange behaviour, she followed his gaze.

Seeing Huo Yi’s grim expression, Ye Ranran felt rather baffled.

"Go close the door." She told One.

Just as One obeyed and was about to close the door, Huo Yi quickly barged in!

"Are you hiding something?" Huo Yi sneered sarcastically as soon as he spoke.

Don’t blame him for being angry. Ranran seemed unwilling to spend an extra minute with him, saying it might stir up idle gossip!
