Chapter 667: Chapter 664: Song Yue’s Misstep_1
"No way!" Jun Mochan immediately refused without a second thought.
"So stingy," muttered Song Yue.
Swinging her legs, she sat on a stone not far from Jun Mochan, "Are you planning to build a boat? Who knows when you’ll eventually get to leave."
"Seven days at most." Jun Mochan replied without even lifting his head.
"How is that possible?" Song Yue was convinced he was delusional. Why else would he say such a thing?
Jun Mochan chose to ignore her once again.
Despite Song Yue’s self-embarrassment, she decided not to leave, curious to see how Jun Mochan would build a boat in just seven days.
It wasn’t until it became too dark to see that Jun Mochan finally started heading back.
The path back was one that Jun Mochan had already mastered, with every pebble along the way etched firmly in his mind.
So even without a light, he wasn’t scared.
While Song Yue might not have known the path as well as Jun Mochan, she could still navigate it without tripping over anything.
This obviously wasn’t enough for Song Yue. Pretending to stagger, she swayed with each step she took.
"Oh no." She cried out suddenly, and then she fell to the ground.
As if he had heard nothing, Jun Mochan kept walking forward without even turning his head.
"Hey, I fell down, aren’t you going to help me up?" Song Yue shouted loudly.
Jun Mochan continued to pretend not to hear her.
Feeling extremely embarrassed, Song Yue bit her lower lip, sitting on the ground without moving!
She refused to believe that Jun Mochan wouldn’t come to rescue her!
Unfortunately, she miscalculated as Jun Mochan never returned.
The temperature fluctuates dramatically from day to night by the sea. It could be more than 20 degrees during the day and drop to just over 10 degrees at night.
After sitting on the ground for an hour and getting goosebumps all over, Song Yue finally realized that Jun Mochan was not coming back.
Gritting her teeth, she got up, limping as she moved forward.
Back at the house, Jun Mochan was sitting next to the fire pit. There was only a wooden bed in the room which Jun Mochan had let Song Yue use.
He had hung a curtain by the bed to block his view of anything he shouldn’t see.
As for him, he had been sleeping on the grass these past few days. Being a former soldier, Jun Mochan was accustomed to hardships and could easily handle such conditions.
He was grateful that Ye Ranran was not here.
"Didn’t you hear me calling you?" Song Yue barged into the room with rage.
Jun Mochan glanced at Song Yue’s foot without saying a word.
"Hey, I’m talking to you, didn’t you hear?" Song Yue stamped her foot in anger, only to hit her wound and grimaced in pain.
"I remember only promising to help you leave, not to take care of you, right?"
Song Yue was speechless.
"I thought we have been through thick and thin together and could be considered friends. Turns out, I was just being overly sentimental!" Song Yue exclaimed with self-mockery.
"If you weren’t always trying to outsmart me, we might indeed be friends!"
He wasn’t sure what Song Yue had in mind because he didn’t know her well, and had no interest in getting to know her either.
However, he was well aware of her feigned advances and deliberately close approaches!
"Why would I have any designs on you? Don’t flatter yourself!" Song Yue stubbornly retorted.
Jun Mochan looked at her profoundly: "I certainly hope so!"
Feeling a bit defeated, Song Yue found Jun Mochan incredibly unresponsive. However, she was not ready to give up just yet.
Otherwise, wouldn’t all her efforts have been in vain?
By the time Song Yue’s foot was fully healed, Jun Mochan had finally hollowed out the entire trunk.
He carried the trunk to the sea and said to Song Yue, "You get on and give it a try."
Song Yue pointed at herself: "Me? Why me?"
