As she tried to pass him, Ah Chuan gripped her arm. "What are you playing at?" he asked.

"Get it straight, I’m not playing at anything!" Luo Qi retorted emphatically, enunciating each and every word with clarity.

"No? Then why are you acting this way?" Ah Chuan’s face dropped.

His words made Luo Qi laugh in frustration. "And how would you prefer me to behave?"

Ah Chuan felt exasperated; this wasn’t the answer to his question—why was she spinning in circles?

"Why did you turn off your phone? Where did you go? Do you know how worried I was?" Ah Chuan brought the conversation back on track.

"Let go of me!" Instead of answering, Luo Qi frowned at the sight of Ah Chuan holding her arm.

"Answer me!" Not only did Ah Chuan not let go, he tightened his grip. It seemed as if he would not let her off the hook until he was satisfied with her answer.

His shamelessness finally made Luo Qi explode: "What do I do has got to do with you? On what grounds can you... hmm hmm hmm..."
