Jun Mochan resting his chin on top of her head, knowingly asked, "You’ve seen him already?"

"Yeah, I just ran into him by accident." Ye Ranran didn’t catch the uneasiness in Jun Mochan’s voice.

"What did you guys talk about?"

"Not much, we just chatted casually." Ye Ranran told Jun Mochan about the conversation she had with Huo Yi.

She believed she had nothing to hide. If he wanted to know, she’d tell him.

Ye Ranran’s honesty made Jun Mochan happy, and his mood lightened significantly.

After some sweet moments together, they had dinner and went to sleep in each other’s arms.

The next day, when Ye Ranran woke up, Jun Mochan was no longer by her side.

She got up and freshened up. When she arrived in the living room, there was already someone sitting there.

Upon seeing her, Huo Yi quickly stood up. He picked up a bowl of soup from the table, smiling, he looked expectantly at Ye Ranran, "You’re up? I made soup, you should drink it."

"When we were kids, you used to climb over to the neighbour’s house to pick strawberries for me. You even got chased by a dog once. Since then, you’ve had a love-hate relationship with these fruits."

Ye Ranran’s allowance from her father was limited and strawberries were expensive, so every time she got some, she couldn’t bring herself to eat them, though she really wanted to.

This often left her yearning for them.

Yet, even so, each year on his birthday, her gifts were always the best.
