Chapter 494: Chapter 493: Not a Nameless and Insignificant Woman_1

"Alright, but be careful. Contact me immediately if anything happens," Luo Qi advised uneasily.

Only after Ye Ranran repeatedly assured her that everything would be fine, did she let Luo Qi leave.

Ye Ranran sighed. She hadn’t wished to bother Luo Qi for help, but it was too difficult for her to get him back to the hotel alone. She wasn’t sure if this decision had been the right one or disastrous.

Hearing the uninspiring conversation between the two women, One scoffed internally. But he couldn’t scorn them for long, as his head was starting to swim with dizziness.

Ye Ranran quickly got a grip on herself, retrieved her phone, and dialed Jun Mochan’s number.

"Ranran?" Almost as soon as the phone rang, Ye Ranran picked up.

"Husband, One is injured. I’ve brought him back to the hotel, but he has a gunshot wound. Can you send a doctor over?" she asked.

The more she spoke, the softer her voice got, because even she found the request rather absurd.

They were at the Deep Mountain Hotel in the middle of nowhere, not in A City. Even if they had a family doctor, how could he possibly get there in time?

"You should wake him up and have him remove the bullet himself. Then go get some medicine from a nearby store," Jun Mochan instructed calmly.

"Wake ... wake him up?" Ye Ranran’s voice shook.

Don’t blame her for exaggerating. It was just that Jun Mochan was too nonchalant about it, as if discussing what to eat for dinner.

But this was about removing a bullet!

"Yes. Use water or any method to wake him up. It’s his only chance for survival. We can’t wait for a doctor to arrive. That said, I’ll arrange it immediately. As long as he can survive tonight, he’ll be alright," Jun Mochan’s voice held a gravity that reflected the seriousness of the situation.

Ye Ranran understood the severity of the problem: "Okay."

After hanging up the call, Ye Ranran took a deep breath, fetched a towel, wet it, and began to squeeze it out over One’s face.

Water droplets sprinkled on One’s face like rain, but he did not wake up.

Frustrated, Ye Ranran flung the towel aside, slammed the door and ran out.

The loud noise gradually jolted One from his dozy state, but he quickly closed his eyes again, feeling tired and wanting to sleep.

About three minutes later, Ye Ranran ran back in.

She was holding a block of ice. Ignoring the cold biting into her hand, she pressed it directly onto One’s face.

The intense cold snapped One back to consciousness.

Seeing Ye Ranran’s irritating face, his hand instinctively reached for his gun.

"If you have the strength, then hurry and take care of your wound, unless you want to die?" Seeing his movement, Ye Ranran raised the corner of her mouth in a sarcastic smile.

"I’m awake now, take it off." One moved uncomfortably, trying to put some distance between his face and the cube of ice.

"Well then, get to it," Ye Ranran said, tossing the ice cube into the sink.

One expected her to leave quickly, but even after two minutes, she still hadn’t. He gritted his teeth and snapped, "Woman, get out here."

"I am Jun Mochan’s wife, not a nameless, insignificant woman. What do you think you should call me?" Ye Ranran popped her head out.

"Madam Jun." One grudgingly said.

Pleased with his reluctant title for her, Ye Ranran walked out.

"What do you need me to do? To clarify, you’re asking me for help now, not the other way around. So mind your tone," Ye Ranran said haughtily, assuming the role of the lady of the house.

She wouldn’t allow him to boss her around.
