Chapter 261: Chapter 261: Her Worries_1
Noticing the disappointment in her tone, Ye Ranran shook her head: "How do you know it’s not true?"
"But it’s just not," Luo Qi said as she slapped her hand on the dining table.
"At first it was. The table could seat around fifteen people, which I felt was unnecessary, so I switched to a smaller one." Usually, it was just Ye Ranran and Jun Mochan.
The servants don’t eat with them, so there was no need for such a long table.
"Now I understand. Ranran, I’m so envious of you for having such a wealthy and handsome husband." Luo Qi had a face full of admiration.
Mrs. Wu brought the food, all of which were light dishes.
"These were all matched by a nutritionist. The sir said when madam did not eat breakfast, she should eat well at lunch." Seeing Ye Ranran’s brow slightly furrowed, Mrs. Wu quickly explained.
"I see," Ye Ranran said, pressing her lips together.
He really sticks his nose in everything.
Luo Qi’s eyes filled with even more envy: "Ranran, you are so lucky."
"Alright, find a boyfriend soon, and you’ll be just as happy." Ye Ranran picked up a piece of carrot.
"Who said I don’t have a boyfriend?" Luo Qi’s face fell. "He just falls short compared to your husband."
Ye Ranran looked at her in surprise: "You have a boyfriend? Why have I never heard you mention it?"
She had always thought Luo Qi was single.
"We fought before. Enough about that, I’m hungry. Let’s eat and then get to work." Luo Qi patted her face.
Seeing that she did not want to talk about it, Ye Ranran did not press. They chatted about other things and ended their meal on a high note.
After eating, Ye Ranran wanted to take Luo Qi to her studio, but Luo Qi felt it was more inspiring to draw in the garden.
"Then let’s go to the garden." Ye Ranran compromised.
They took their sketchbooks and sat in the garden, but Ye Ranran came up with nothing. She wasn’t able to produce a single drawing all afternoon.
"Are you missing your Mr. Jun?" Luo Qi teased her.
"Missing my ass." Ye Ranran gave her a disgruntled look.
Just as Luo Qi was about to tease her again, Ye Ranran’s phone suddenly rang.
"Who is it?" Seeing the unfamiliar number on her phone, Ye Ranran furrowed her brows.
"Ah, you forgot me so quickly? I’m quite heartbroken." A voice came from the phone, one that Ye Ranran hated to the core.
"Xie Yuan, how do you have my number?" Ye Ranran asked, gritting her teeth.
"Miss Ye is famous, finding your phone number isn’t hard, is it?" Laughter came from the other end of the line.
Ye Ranran could imagine the rebellious expression on his face.
"What do you want?" Ye Ranran’s voice turned cold.
"It’s been a while, I missed you, so I called you. Is that not allowed?" Xie Yuan said, his voice frivolous.
"Not allowed." Ye Ranran hung up.
Her gentle smile was replaced by a frosty expression. Seeing Ye Ranran like this, Luo Qi was a little scared.
"Who was that?" She asked carefully.
"A boring person." Ye Ranran put her phone away, her face showing a bit of annoyance. "I’m not inspired today."
"Shall we go shopping?" An outing to the fashion market might provide some inspiration, she suggested.
Ye Ranran thought about it, and agreed to her proposition.
Why would Xie Yuan call her? Sitting in the car, Ye Ranran felt a bit uneasy.
She held her phone, thinking of calling Jun Mochan, but was afraid of disturbing him.
"Ranran, is something bothering you?" Luo Qi noticed her deep in thought and tentatively asked.
"No." Ye Ranran denied.
"Clearly there is! Are we not friends anymore? Is there something you can’t tell me?" Luo Qi called out, displeased.
