Chapter 239: Chapter 239: Full of Tricks_1
This man, he’s really got a knack for courting girls, but she couldn’t deny that she was genuinely happy.
Ye Ranran gladly clung to his hand, "Let’s go then, husband."
Only after Jun Mochan and Ye Ranran had dinner did they head to the old house of the Ye family. Three or four designers were already waiting there.
What came as a surprise to Ye Ranran, though, was that Gao Han and Ye Tianjiao were there too, with Wang Ya standing behind them.
A wife and a mistress in the same room—what a tangled mess.
Ye Ranran had no idea that when Gao Han summoned his mistress, she had also called that man of hers.
If Gao Han brought Wang Ya to embarrass her, wouldn’t she make him suffer as well?
"Everybody who’s not involved, get out of here," Jun Mochan emotionlessly commanded.
"This is my house! Who are you to dictate anything?" Ye Tianjiao shouted indignantly.
Ye Ranran sneered, "Ye Tianjiao, are you playing dumb or are you genuinely clueless? This house is under my name, it’s mine. Don’t you know that?"
"Ye Ranran, you two-faced ****! Don’t think for one second that I don’t know the dubious means you used to get this place! Even if you’ve won, what is there to gloat about?" Ye Tianjiao retaliated.
Ye Ranran responded condescendingly, "Done ranting? If it makes you feel better to insult me, then go on."
"Ye Tianjiao, shut up," Gao Han angrily reprimanded him as Tianjiao attempted to respond.
Ye Tianjiao fumed, "Who the hell are you to tell me what to do, Gao Han? I didn’t hear their husband say anything. Why do you think you can boss me around?"
"Alright, now all of you, out." Jun mocked them without showing any interest in carrying on the conversation.
A group of bodyguards hustled everyone out, and the space in front of the door quieted down instantly.
"Madame, let’s proceed," said Jun Mochan as he held Ye Ranran’s hand.
No sooner had they seated themselves than the four designers presented their drafts to Ye Ranran.
The four each specialized in a different style: pastoral, European, French, and retro Chinese.
"There are other styles too, but let’s first explore these four. If you’re not satisfied, we can look at the others," said Jun Mochan.
After perusing her options, Ye Ranran wasn’t pleased with any of them. The pastoral style was bland, the European too grand, French too luxurious, and the retro too classical.
None of it was to her liking.
"I prefer something simple but with luxurious details, a combination of these styles, can you guys create that for me?" she asked.
At that, three of the designers glanced at each other, but none of them said anything.
Only the fourth designer ventured, "I could give it a try. How about I show you the sketch when it’s ready for review?"
"Sure," Ye Ranran answered in good spirits.
"Thank you, well, could you give me three days to create something? If I don’t manage it, then feel free to replace me?" the designer asked nervously.
The tight grip of her hand hid her anxiety well.
Being a new designer, she didn’t yet have a reputation, and a project like this doesn’t typically fall into her hands. Her mentor had an unexpected issue and couldn’t make it here.
Since there were no other designers available at the company, she had stepped in voluntarily, and so the project ended up with her.
Before Ye Ranran could say anything, Jun Mochan beat her to it, "Who are you?"
Whoever Ye Ranran appointed had to first pass through his judgment, and he couldn’t recall having arranged any "One" for her.
