Chapter 220: Chapter 220: I Want Your Heart_1

"Who’s calling?" asked Jun Mochan as he looked at Ye Ranran’s reluctant expression.

"It’s from the old house."

"Answer it," Jun Mochan said. "If you don’t want to, let me answer it."

Without giving Ye Ranran time to think, Jun Mochan took the phone from her: "Nevermind, give it to me."

"Who is this?" Jun Mochan slides the answer key.

There was a pause on the line before the other party started speaking: "I’m looking for Ranran."

"I’m her husband, speak to me if there’s any issue," Jun Mochan didn’t hesitate to reply.

"Father wants her to come home tonight," Ye Tianjing said reluctantly.

Jun Mochan’s face didn’t change, as if he’d expected what Ye Tianjing was going to say, his tone didn’t even fluctuate: "Understood."

After he finished speaking, he didn’t give the other party any chance to speak further, he simply ended the call.

Ye Tianjing held the phone in his hand, utterly confused about whether she should come home or not.

"I don’t want to go back." Ye Ranran was unhappy hearing that Jun Mochan had agreed to the return.

"Don’t you want to reclaim the old house? How can you get it if you don’t go back?"

Ye Ranran thought she had misheard: "What did you say?"

Seeing her excitement, Jun Mochan repeated his words.

"Really?" Ye Ranran caught his hand, excited.

"When did I ever lie to you?" Jun Mochan grasped her hand as he replied.

Ye Ranran was so excited that she almost jumped up, she tried to stay calm: "How do you know?"

"They need money, so they will definitely accept my conditions; the bank won’t loan them any either, they have no other choice but me," he explained.

In times of desperate need, people tend to hold onto any available lifeline. It’s human nature.

"Besides, the only thing they can put their hands on is the Ye Family’s old house. Even if they don’t give it to me, at most they can get three million by mortgaging it to others. They know very well what choice to make," he added.

Listening to Jun Mochan’s explanation, Ye Ranran was amazed by how scheming he was.

"I really worry about your opponents," Ye Ranran tried to pull her hand back, but found that Jun Mochan was holding it tighter.

She rolled her eyes: "Mr. Jun, how can I eat if you keep holding my hand like this?"

"I can feed you. But what did the ’opponent’ comment just now mean?" Jun Mochan answered without hesitation.

Ye Ranran’s mouth twitched: "It means you’re too cunning and people might fall into your trap without noticing. Your opponents probably don’t even know how they die..."

"I’ll take that as a compliment, my lady. But not everyone can be my opponent. And don’t worry, I’ll never harm you or lay a finger on you," he ensured.

Seeing that he saw through her little trick, Ye Ranran’s gaze shied away.

"If you have any doubts, feel free to ask," Jun Mochan sighed.

"Why?" Ye Ranran looked at him.

Her question was broad, but she knew he’d understand.

"Because you’re incredible, Ranran. When you fall in love with someone, you only see that person. Being loved by you is a wonderful thing," Jun Mochan said softly.

"I want your heart," Jun Mochan looked straight at Ye Ranran and spoke bluntly.

Ye Ranran didn’t know how to react. She simply stared at him, her mouth open in a stupor.

"Don’t feel burdened. I can wait. I’m telling you so you don’t overthink," Jun Mochan pinched her cheeks.

She was worth the wait. Besides, he’d already waited so long. Now that she was his, was he worried that she wouldn’t fall in love with him?
