Seeing Ye Ranran get out of Jun Mochan’s car, no one at S.Z looked surprised.

Besides some of the important senior staff, there wasn’t much change. Everyone else was well aware of how Jun Mochan had stood up for Ye Ranran before, even if they hadn’t seen or heard it directly.

No one believed that the two of them weren’t an item. But they were unsure whether Jun Mochan was genuinely pursuing her, or if he had already made her his mistress!

"I made an appointment with the director," said Ye Ranran to Jun Mochan by the elevator doors.

"I’m here for a meeting. Once you’re done, come find me in the CEO’s office," he replied.

Ye Ranran didn’t immediately agree. She stood in place, her head slightly lowered, deep in thought.

"What? Afraid everyone will know about us?" As if noticing Ye Ranran’s worry, Jun Mochan asked, bending down to her level.

Perhaps he did it intentionally, intentionally whispering in Ye Ranran’s ear.

Ye Ranran’s face turned crimson immediately: "There are people coming and going. Be more discreet."

Jun Mochan realized that teasing Ye Ranran was a fun activity and rather than retracting, he leaned even closer.

"You’re my wife. What’s wrong with a little flirtation?"

This man really was getting more shameless. Just as Ye Ranran was thinking of ways to escape, the elevator arrived with a "ding".

"The elevator is here." Ye Ranran quickly shuffled in, her swift movement surprising Jun Mochan.

The elevator stopped at the 10th floor. Just as Ye Ranran was about to exit, Jun Mochan grabbed her.

"Did you remember what I told you earlier?"

"You talked so much; how could I remember everything? I’m in a hurry now, let go." Ye Ranran tried to wrest free.

Jun Mochan tightened his grip: "Then I can’t let you go; you’re safer staying by my side."

"We’re not conjoined twins; we can’t be together everywhere. And besides, I’m an adult; I can take care of myself." Ye Ranran agued, strongly disagreeing.

"Really? Who is the one that always gets bullied when I am not around?"

This comment annoyed Ye Ranran: "Before you appeared, wasn’t I doing just fine?"

Apparently, her words struck a nerve, as Jun Mochan’s face darkened.

Ye Ranran swallowed hard: "What, what’s wrong?"

"Nothing." Jun Mochan answered coldly.

Realizing she might have upset him, Ye Ranran hastily said: "Can I come to find you when I’m done?"

Seeing her careful demeanor, Jun Mochan’s expression softened. He ruffled her hair, wanting to say something but only managed to utter: "Good."

Ye Ranran: "..."

After parting with Jun Mochan, Ye Ranran rushed to the director’s office.

The director was new and knew a little about Ye Ranran’s background. He received her warmly when she arrived.

"I brought the design drafts. Would you like to review them?" asked Ye Ranran, extending the drafts towards the director.

The director graciously accepted them: "Everyone knows about Designer Ye’s expertise. I don’t think there’s anything that needs to be changed."

His words made Ye Ranran uncomfortable. She forced a smile: "Perhaps you should still review them. If you find something inappropriate, I’m ready to make adjustments."

"I’ll look at them later," answered the director, beaming.

Ye Ranran straightened her back further: "May I ask why you called me here today, Director?"

If it wasn’t for the design drafts, it must have been for something else, right?
