Chapter 202: Chapter 202: You Don’t Have to Find Her If You Are in a Bad Mood_1
"I need to step out for a bit; please look after things for me." Ye Ranran told Luo Qi.
Luo Qi waved her off, "Sure, go ahead. I can handle things here."
By the time Ye Ranran arrived, her father had already been there, unexpectedly, her mother came too.
She hesitated for a moment before approaching them.
Her father immediately pushed his drink toward her, "Your favorite."
Looking at the milk tea before her, Ye Ranran smiled, "Thank you, but I haven’t had milk tea for a long time."
"You’re all grown up, it’s okay, order whatever you want." Her mother soothed.
"Thanks, but I just had a cup of tea, I’m not thirsty." Ye Ranran politely declined.
Her attitude agitated her father, "Are you purposefully causing trouble?"
Ye Ranran blinked innocently, "You were the one who summoned me, not the other way around. I am just expressing my thoughts, is that a problem? Okay, if that’s how it is, I’ll leave."
She made as if to stand, and her mother caught her in panic, "Ranran, wait."
"Your father didn’t mean it. He just wanted to spend some quality time with you. His mood has not been the best lately, please don’t blame him."
Her mother begged.
"He can not find me if he’s not in a good mood." Ye Ranran didn’t go along with her mother’s plea.
A tinge of embarrassment appeared on her mother’s face, "Ranran, you must be more understanding of your father. He’s getting old and can’t take too much stress. What if something were to happen..."
"Are you insinuating that I am the one causing his distress?" Ye Ranran asked in a very serious tone.
Her mother hastily shook her head, "No, that’s not what I meant."
A cold glint flashed in Ye Ranran’s eyes, "Then explain to me, exactly what do you mean?"
Faced with Ye Ranran’s relentless questioning, her mother was at a loss, and could only turn to her father for help.
"Enough, I just wanted to have a normal conversation with you, is that too much to ask?" Her father slammed a hand down onto the table.
The café fell into silence, the slightest sound seemed overly loud, let alone the force with which he had struck the table.
As onlookers began to murmur among themselves, Ye Ranran stood up and brushed off her mother’s hand, "I don’t think there’s anything I need to discuss with you. Since you’re fine, I’m leaving."
"Stop right there." Her father banged his cane on the ground.
Ye Ranran obediently stopped in her tracks, "Anything else you want to say?"
The whispers grew louder, surrounded by pointing fingers; her father felt embarrassed.
"Let’s take this somewhere else." Her father stood up.
"If it’s going to be like this, there’s no need to change locations. I’m sure we’d end up arguing even if we’re out on the street."
Checking the time, Ye Ranran added, "I only have a half-hour break, fifteen minutes of which have already passed, I need to leave now."
"I did ask you here for a reason." Seeing that she wasn’t joking, her father hurriedly said.
Finally, she’s got the key phrase. Ye Ranran curled her lips into a smile and returned to her seat, "If you have something to say, say it quickly. You have ten minutes left."
"You already know about the company’s current situation; I won’t say more—get five million from Jun Mochan for the company’s use." Her father said embarrassingly.
Ye Ranran looked at him in surprise, this man before her, was he really her father? Why was he constantly surprising her?
