Chapter 1276: Chapter 1198: Who Isn’t Wronged?

He let go of his pride, succumbed to a woman, and was manipulated by others. How was he not suffering?

He could endure, so why couldn’t she?

"I will try my best to live on, but on the day when I am truly powerless, don’t be too sad. At least there will still be the baby, who will accompany you, and as for me, there’s no need to remember me."

Memories are too bitter, longing is even more so. He’s not even thirty yet, always living in memories. How is he to live in the future?

One must always look forward, right?

As long as she is here, it’s enough that he is devoted to her.

"Don’t allow it, for my sake, you can’t leave either." Jun Mochan held her tightly.

"Mmm, I won’t leave." She curved her brows and eyes, not continuing the topic.

"Let’s plant flowers together. Next year, this place will bloom with many plum blossoms." She stepped out of his embrace and took his hand.

"Alright." He held her hand, and together they placed the flowers into the hole dug by One.

Ye Ranran supported the seedling, Jun Mochan filled in the soil.

"We have four more plants, let’s plant them together." Ye Ranran turned around, embracing the four seedlings in her arms.

The soil dirtied her clothes, she also seemed oblivious to taste.

She wore a white T-shirt inside, covered with a shawl-style sweater, paired with skinny jeans and white shoes, dressed casually yet elegantly.

Due to her smile, her originally pale face glowed slightly.

"Alright." Jun Mochan picked up the shovel from the ground and began digging.

Ye Ranran stood by watching him dig. Jun Mochan still wore a suit, perhaps feeling it was inconvenient, he took off his suit jacket and rolled up his shirt sleeves.

"Why not let One do the digging?" Seeing him in formal wear doing this, Ye Ranran felt it odd.

"I am your husband, isn’t it natural for me to dig if you want to plant flowers?" Jun Mochan looked up and glanced at her.

A man with the power of life and death, just his gaze could be deadly. With that look just now, Ye Ranran felt as though someone was gripping her throat.

"Yes." Ye Ranran said obsequiously.

The two seemed to return to their old days, as if nothing had happened.

After finishing planting the flowers, Ye Ranran moved Jun Mochan under the ginkgo tree: "I really love this patch of ginkgo."

"Then let’s cut all the trees at home and replace them with ginkgos."

A leaf spiraled down, floating gently, landing on the top of Ye Ranran’s head.

Ye Ranran shook her head, trying to shake it off, but it slid down to her forehead.

"Don’t move." Jun Mochan placed one hand on her shoulder, and with the other hand helped Ye Ranran remove the leaf.

He also ruffled Ye Ranran’s hair: "Lazy."

"Not at all." Ye Ranran pouted.

"What is it then?"

"What I’m doing is what a gentleman would do, to not exert oneself unless necessary. Unlike you, always using force and not your brain."

"Oh, now you even criticize me, huh?" Jun Mochan pulled her into his arms: "Tell me, how should I teach you a lesson?"

"I am covered in mud, totally dirty." She pushed him a bit, but couldn’t move him, his arms instead tightening around her.

"You’ve lost a lot of weight, you need to eat more."

Yet eating more won’t make me gain weight, she thought, the words spinning around her tongue but not making it out, she followed his wish and nodded heavily: "Mmm."

"Stop risking things from now on. I am currently asking her for the contact of the person behind the scenes. Once I find that person, get the formula of the virus, find a way to eliminate it, I will make her disappear from this world."
