"Here, apply this," Shen Yuzhe handed Ye Ranran a jar of ointment.

Ye Ranran nodded, "Yes, he said he had matters to attend to."

"When can I go home?" she longed for her baby.

"In a little while," Shen Yuzhe averted his eyes, unable to meet her clear, dark gaze.

"Alright, do you have any other business?"

"Come down for a meal after you apply the medicine."

Ye Ranran was surprised, "You can cook?"

"Of course, but the young master has asked two people to come over," the implication being that Shen Yuzhe wouldn’t need to cook.

That was much more reassuring. Ye Ranran nodded, "Okay, I’ll apply the medicine first."

Shen Yuzhe waved his hand and walked downstairs.
