Chapter 1197: Chapter 1220: Don’t Be Impulsive

Luo Qi, led by the hotel staff, arrived at the makeup room where the bride had just finished getting ready.

"You’re here," said the bride happily as she stood up from the chair.

"You look so beautiful," Luo Qi complimented.

Everyone likes to hear nice things, and sure enough, the bride’s smile grew even broader.

"What a sweet talker you are."

"I’m just telling the truth," Luo Qi had figured out that compliments were what the bride loved to hear the most.

From a young age, she had been bathed in honey, constantly hearing praises. Not only was she not tired of them, but she also grew increasingly fond of hearing them.

But seeing the happiness on her face, Luo Qi guessed she must be living a good life, and Luo Qi felt a bit envious.

After helping the bride change into her wedding dress and checking it over to make sure there were no loose threads or tears, they sat down together to chat.

The bride mostly talked about how good her husband was to her, how happy and sweet their life was.

"Ah, sorry, I’ve been going on about myself. What about you?"

She didn’t have much to say, Luo Qi was just about to reply when someone barged in through the door.

The newcomer was aggressive and clearly ill-intentioned, so Luo Qi immediately stood up: "Who are you?"

"Why are you here?" the bride also stood up.

Luo Qi relaxed her vigilance slightly: "You know her?"

Was this a friend of the bride? But she didn’t seem like it—the fierce expression on her face made her seem more like a nemesis than a guest here to toast to happiness.

"She was the fashion designer I had hired before, but I was dissatisfied with her work and called it off, and she accused me of making a fuss over nothing," said the bride, clearly angry.

Luo Qi’s nerves tensed up again. So, this person wasn’t here for the wedding but rather to cause trouble?

"Do you know your comments wasted all my hard work, I lost my job because of you, and now I’m back to facing the harsh winds of the Northwest," the woman complained.

Luo Qi couldn’t help but laugh: "Your words are ridiculous. If your effort was wasted and the client isn’t satisfied, it means you weren’t working hard enough. And if you’ve lost your job, why don’t you just find another one?"

"What do you know? I have no experience, and after this incident, no one will hire me." She sent out resume after resume, but they all sank like stones into the sea, with no response.

She watched as her money ran out and with constant nagging from her parents, under this dual pressure, she became more and more resentful.

If it hadn’t been for her, she wouldn’t be in the situation she was in now.

"Can you really blame someone else for this?" Luo Qi rolled her eyes.

Why do all the people she had to deal with have to be so absurd? When something goes wrong, they don’t blame themselves but others; what’s the point?

Even if she killed the person in front of her, what would it change? She’d still be jobless, and committing a crime would only get her arrested.

"I don’t care, this is all her fault. If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t have lost my job. You have no idea how much effort I put into that job." All of that was gone because of her meddling.

"So what do you want to do?" Luo Qi stepped in front of the bride.

"What do I want to do? She despised my design, didn’t she? I’m going to cut up this dress she’s wearing. Let’s see if it’s still pretty," the woman pulled out a pair of scissors from her bag.

The sharp and large scissors made Luo Qi’s heart race: "Miss, let’s talk this out calmly, please don’t be rash."

Rash actions hurt others and oneself.

"Who are you? Get out of my way." She didn’t want to harm an innocent person and would prefer if they stepped aside knowingly.
