"I will. Just why did you come back so early today?" Ye Ranran glanced at the time—it was only five o’clock, hadn’t he finished work yet?

"I had to write invitations, so I came back early."

Ye Ranran had previously been skinny as a rail, but now her waistline was noticeably rounder.

Ye Ranran naturally wouldn’t tell her that she was pregnant.

"Did you know who that person was just now? Someone from the Tax Bureau. They’ve been auditing your husband’s company recently. It would really be better if they don’t find anything suspicious, wouldn’t you say?"

"That’s none of my business; you should tell the person being audited." Ye Ranran smiled, "I’m really in a hurry, please step aside."

Xia Shi deliberately said these things to unsettle Ye Ranran, hoping to see her panic, but she remained calm throughout.
